Part 2
After our lovely walk down the branch line it was leads back on and through the big gate into the Goat Rescue.
After their walk the pups were calmer and this helped them to meet the animals without too much overwhelming emotion or excitement.
We stood and da momma talked, they watched first from a distance and then closer. It went very well and they were happy little doggies ´, great desensitization session..
Got some treats, can of pop. Gosh printed shopping bag ext as it all goes towards the upkeep and then it was time to go home.
Part 1 and a story in itself.
A beautiful August afternoon is the perfect time for a nice shady walk out of the heat, it’s mad how I want heat but then avoid if for the pups comfort.
We went to the local goat rescue and walked through to the old railway branch line promising to meet the animals on the way back when some of their excited energy had burned off.
Beneath the trees a coolness hovered offering a break from the sun with little flashes of its light tempting us out through the canopy.
Most of the railway has a fence to keep walkers from the fields so it makes most of the walk safe you mainly have to be aware of other ramblers.
We walked to the bridge and watched the geese, who in turn watched us. The girls played Pooh sticks with some little leaves 🍃 🍂 🍁 from the ground, the geese thought us silly but not in the least bit interesting and went for a nice cooling swim so we crossed the bridge and walked a little further.
Birds sang, unseen creatures moved in the undergrowth and amongst the trees the light was slightly green and very peaceful. You could have been in woods as easily as in this odd little strip of land from which the railway departed so many years ago.
We didn’t see anyone else on the path and when we came to a more open and therefore brighter, lighter and hotter area it was time to go back. The girls had a little drink and slowly with many explorations they made it back to the big gate at the goat rescue.
As it was their first visit I had kept the girls to the picnic and games side walking in but I walked them in the middle, they did have a drink at the side of the horses who looked over the fence at them almost unnoticed and with no barking.
Part 2 is more pics of my girls looking at the rescue animals and what happened, it’s another little story that will stand alone or join to this and will be with you soon.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed our walk.
I can’t help but think how lucky we are living near the beach and having country walks so near too.
This morning the girls puppy pals were free, they’ve known and played with these little boys their whole lives all being around the same age with feebs a year younger but taken straight into their little pack this spring.
The beach was glowing, the storms have kicked up seaweed and driftwood so it actually smells like the seaside. It doesn’t always as we don’t have a harbour or fishing boats and so I love an “ooh it smells like seaside” moment.
Feebs found a cooked curled up, totally stinky king prawn (possible fishing bait) that got taken to a bin and one of the boys found a fish but all were good enough to leave that alone. I found an enchanted holey stone, a flint triangle I will hang somewhere around my home. It was peaceful and everyone was happy.
The sun shone, little fluffy clouds watched over their play, on the way back some very colourful clouds had joined their parade and now at home an hour later a heavy shower makes us appreciate our sunny November adventures even more.
I find however bad life can get, whatever it throws at you there is a strange kind of solace out on the sand, water edge waves competing to get into your wellies, little dogs playing, sandpipers pipping.
May the rest of your day be golden x
It’s a beautiful day for singing a song and it’s a good day for rolling along and other jolly stuff
My girlies are having fun but I’d like too mention how it’s November how the sun sets earlier for daylong saving hours, saving them up for next summer maybe cos it’s getting dark by teatime already. This means if you’re in an open space you get some pretty amazing long shadows to play about with and make cool photos with which I might try on purpose another time 😊ok I cheated and added a blueish filter, it didn’t make much difference but it was a little softer and I thought it was nice to have blue shadow instead of grey, I still have the original.
Look at the sky, look how it reflects clouds and indie on the waterlogged sand, the colours are still magnificent upside down, barely muted, a kind of magic all of their own I don’t know why I don’t expect water reflections to stay colour matched, it always surprises me. The uneven surface helps colours and shapes move slightly out of focus, softer and brighter in a haze.
Of course the girls are oblivious as long as the water’s not too cold or suddenly deep their only focus is to run, jump, chase the ball and make sure da momma isn’t too far away when they’re playing, how simple and wonderful their little lives are and how fast they are growing up.
When the girlies were well and truly waterlogged we walked up the beach and took pics of the boat on the sand at Admiral Benbows, I took my very waterlogged sandy pumps off and left them outside with the ball throwers and balls to go get milky coffee. My wellies are in the car but i didn’t change and sank up to my ankles shouting “I’m sinking I’m sinking” and giggling like a melting witch.
After coffee and lots of adoring doggy fans make a fuss of the wet hairy fluffles we walked back to the car although Saucy Nancy was still pointing us to the beach and little doggies fell asleep on a blanket on the way home.
I think life should be made of gentle slow days with lunch out or a picnic, a relaxed dog walk, a nice coffee and going home smelling of seaside to doze contentedly on the sofa.
Jelly guru has a message for you yoga’s da message is “patience in the face of adversity” for you hoomans, for cool cats like me is “be patience do not spank da puppy when face annoying”
I tells you why dis may be…as I sits on da sofa trying to chill da puppy comes to see me. She being pain telling me how she went beach, I only went once it’s all sandy it gets Everrrrywherrre and feels funny and I’m a lady so da momma didn’t take me again, she learn quick.
Anyhooo, Feebs uses her whole little annoying body loudly to tell storiees and I learning dis like cat at end of garden where we can stares for hours till someone bogeys ping n it all over.
So hoomanses you all met peeps dis annoying, best to do ignore them, never invite their monkeys to your circus.
So ask bout them, let them dribble on, blah blah… Zzz, good listener caask you what said, careful wat say cos dat can come back all twisted and you in trouble.
Never pass on what you told unless big genuine concern, like bodies line up in garden, don’t gossip.
In return dumbo think you best friend who can tell anything, is happy and bounces off. Simples…
But… did ask if you ok or talk over reply? Neva tell people bout you circus monkeys or their flying monkeys gossip 💩
So there you see in action, if you ignores twit heads long nuff them go way.
So the jellygirlieguru message is don’t get involved , don’t offer unsolicited advice or be mean about someone who upset them. Don’t talk about someone else’s genuine concern cos you be muck spreading.
Be nice like cat with puppy, da momma think I 💕 ❤️ 💗 her, what you think, don’t tell me cos I don’t have to care wat anyone thinks cos they think wat want anyhoo n me cannot control dat.
If you gots friends be excellent to each other.
Be nice cos you’ll smell nice.
An absolutely beautiful afternoon at the beach and a nip into the little seafront pub for coffee with a gingerbread man climbing it 😂
The beach today was so still the clouds and dogs reflected in passable colours on the wet sand. The sunlight was pleasantly warm for November and reminds us that although not all days are good there is some good in every day.
As we come to the end of the year the mornings are misty and sunsets are earlier it is so important to enjoy any times when we can go outside without being cold and wind blown, those surprisingly warm moments that make us smile in recognition of a job well done. Halloween and bonfire night are gone with their excitement and horro, small animals have been gathered iindoors as winter is tightening his hold each morning. The cobwebs have dewdrops much later in the day; making them beautiful unless you are a wet spider who doesn’t have any little yellow wellies.
Our hedgehogs haven’t been seen much so I’m hoping all are safe and warm with full tummies. If it’s a really bad winter they’ll be treated to proper hedgehog food as well as scattered emergency bird food just in case they wake up January snackish. Also they don’t climb the bird tables too well, it’s their paws you know…
At this end of the year we are thankful for good days, dry days for putting laundry out and days nice enough to go for a walk. Soon colder harsher weather will visit and feel never ending but like most other potential problems it will pass and we’ll see spring flowers and plants before we know it.
So if you have a lovely afternoon anytime go to the beach, the park, the woods and enjoy some fresh air, listen to the birds and feel whole again

Remember always take time to smell flowers, lickle pauses to do peaceful stuff through the day may for happy hearts ❤️ 💕 🥰 if you’ve not time to sniff the flowers 💐 🌸 🌹 🌺 maybe you have time to nibble some rosemary 😊
Feebs discovers bluebells while vey young, quite likes these pink flowers when she sees any and nibbles mercilessly on da mommas herbs which have to go beyond jumping height for regular respite.
Benefits of Rosemary are
It makes roast vegetables taste 👅 lovely
Good for.headaches, insomnia, migraine, nausea, emotional upset and depression , pain, memory and fatigue
It’s pretty much anti most bad things, easy to find in the supermarket and keep alive at home, what’s not to like except I’m a cat and I’m not eating that 😂
Have a wonderful day, be amazing even if you only amaze yourself xxx

JellyGuru has a message for Youyu! It’s a beautiful do, go be your amazing self 😊
When you find a manky bit of driftwood from the peat layer and sniffing just isn’t enough,🤮
Did you know dogs have a special little dot on the roof of their mouth called the Jacobsen’s organ? It joins to their olfactory system with their nose and sinus so sometimes if a smell needs more information your dog will pick the item up. Not everything is eaten and some things so go back on the floor after a good crunching of course 😊 🐕
