A Most Unusual Display!—Explored by Daniel Love

Sparrows will nest in some of the strangest places. I guess this is as good a place as any to raise the brood. At first I saw the female bring some nesting material, then I noticed the Male sitting on the ledge above (cropped out here). Next thing I saw a flutter of wings and held the shutter button down, being at the end of my zoom I hoped for the best. I didn't notice that both male (right) and female have their tail feathers faced out untill I pixel peeped on my computer when I got home. I wonder if this is some sort of mating display. Taken Sunday morning at the HAVARD YARD where I saw no one PARK their CAR!
