Miyako and Sora!
Miyako sighed gently as she made it home after school, after a moment of playing with the purple laces, her black boots came off. once she was inside her room, she took a moment to straighten out her purple dress with a royal blue stripe at the edges, and nervously played at the colorful pins she used to decorate thin silver-colored soft belt. She then hung up her royal blue beret in her closet, nervously taking a moment to adjust her long light-indigo hair, and strightened out the thin purple jacket-vest she wore over her long-sleeved royal blue top, and played nervously witht he colored pins on it, too.
Miyako nervously laid on her bed, thinking about her rough day at school, some of the other girls picked on her and pushed her around a bit today, and she was still a little shook up by it. Miyako needed someone to talk to, and well, there was one girl in particular who wouldn’t leave her mind. Sora. Miyako has been thinking about her a lot, especially whenever she saw her walking together with or having fun with her friends Miyako assumed were her Soccer teammates or something.
Miyako laid there, twitching her feet and legs together, gently playing at the light-indigo nylons she was wearing on her legs. Nervous to admit it, she did kind of have a silly crush on Sora and that’s been kind of preventing her from calling her. But she really needed a friend now, and well, if Miyako just told her the truth, Sora might not get mad.
Miyako stood and finally picked up her phone, nervously calling Sora’s number, while she waiting, she nervously reached down with one hand to slowly remove each of her nylons, as she hurt her legs earlier, and she would need to check up on her legs soon. Once the call went through, Miyako said “Hello? Sora-san, it’s me…. Miyako. You said I could call you if I needed anything, right…. well, I’m having problems at school, some of the other girls are picking on me, and I need a friend right now, and well…. I kinda wanted to spend more time with you anyway…. I have something kinda important to tell you.”
Sora had been busying herself with patching up a waffle patterned scrape on her thigh when she heard her phone ring. To her embarrassment, and relief that no one was there to see her to it, she stumbled over herself in the effort to retrieve her phone. Normally, she wasn’t nearly this graceless (although she wasn’t a swan either) but she had just gotten back from Derby practice and was regretting her choice for fishnets.
They may be fun to wear during Derby, but from time to time falling can lead to similar waffle-patterned injuries. She wasn’t really a fan of it.
It was three and half rings in when she finally answered her phone with a slightly out of breath ‘hello?’ that she wasn’t even sure could be heard.
The sound of Miyako’s unusually timid voice took the tired klutz out of her and replaced her with the much more level-headed attitude of a senpai. The sweat causing her black Bomber Girl top to cling uncomfortably went to the back of her mind and the mild temptation for a shower became almost nonexistent.
Miyako had a way of commanding her full attention like that, she didn’t even notice that she’d long discarded her shorts, socks, and fish-nets to address the wound and was wearing nothing but the shirt and some panties.
"Are you okay? What exactly happened?" Sora paused thoughtfully, "If you don’t want to talk about it that’s fine too. Do you want to meet up or would you rather talk on the phone?"
When Sora’s voice came onto the phone, finally, Miyako grew a little nervous, so she tried to occupy her mind with something, such as put on a new pair of nylons after her bruises were tended to, though these ones were a lighter mauve purple. “Some girls pushed me around, and they pinned me down for a long time while teasing me and pressing their cute outfits against me, and then they picked me up as a group, holding my legs, waist and arms, and threw me into some boxes! I tried to fight back, but the way they were holding me, I couldn’t struggle very much.” Miyako explained, trying to sound a bit more confident than she was actually feeling. “The worst part was getting out from the pile of boxes, though! as much as I pushed and kicked, I still felt the boxes pressing against me and finding it hard to catch my breath. And I could see and hear them looking through my notebook and laughing. After they left, that’s when I got kinda frustrated and somehow managed to free myself. I was tired after that, though, so I took my notebook and went home.” Miyako tried to explain as she fell to her bed. it was true she was very tired at the moment.
"But I definitely want to see you to talk in person! I’m still a bit tired, so would you mind coming to my place? my brother and all my sisters are out, so we’ll have the place to ourselves."
Sora listened silently for the most part, wanting to inquire further about the motivation behind the attack but worried that if she pushed, Miyako might clam up. Miyako might be a brave kid but bullying was always hard to talk about and Sora didn’t want to be the person that caused Miyako to think there was no one there to listen.
When Miyako had finished, Sora nodded despite knowing no one could see her, “I’ll head straight over, see you soon.”
Rushed as she was Sora almost left her room in her current attire, something that she thankfully noticed due to the chill of the room. Quickly she grabbed a dark blue hoodie with her derby name and number on it and, not wanting to put pants over her still stinging thigh, a light pink skirt that reminded her of Piyomon. To avoid getting too cold she put her black and red striped thigh high socks she had discarded earlier.
Satisfied with just this she headed out, not wanting to keep Miyako waiting.
After Sora hung up, Miyako rushed to fix up her outfit and straighten her hair, in order to look nice for Sora. she tugged at her light mauve-purple nylons, and adjusted his shirt and top and jacket, as well as putter her royal blue beret back on as she opened the door, watching for Sora to arrive.
"I hope she won’t get mad at what I have to say….." Miyako said, clutching her notebook, which contained quite a few drawing of Sora and her friends.
Upon reaching Miyako’s apartment, Sora paused briefly at the door realizing with a cringe that she looked like a mess. This was about making sure Miyako is okay, the last thing she needed was Miyako worrying about her instead.
She tried padding down her ruffled hair just a bit to improve the appearance but she acknowledged this wouldn’t do too much to improve her overall appearance. A tiny part of her despaired just a bit, she’d wanted to show up as a responsible senpai, not as a scatter brained friend.
Also, a small part of her didn’t want Miyako to see her looking so disheveled.
With a sigh, she accepted her fate and knocked on the door.
Miyako nervously opened the door and blushed as she let Sora in. Miyako didn’t seem to mind Sora’s ruffled apperance, if anything, Miyako thought she looked cute. Miyako looked nervously at the other girls striped socks, noting at how long they were, they seemed to go quite high.
"Hi Sora-san….. Umm, the reason I wanted to talk to you in private is well, I thought you should look at this." Miyako said, handing Sora her notebook. "This is what the girls who attacked me were giggling at." Miyako stated nervously, her face turning red. There were pictures of a lot of girls in cute outfits, like long socks, stockings and nylons, in sports uniforms, etc. there were a few of Hikari, but there were SEVERAL on Sora.
"Sora-san…. I need your help…." Miyako said, blushing hard. "I kinda like other girls, and I hope you aren’t mad I drew you in there and wrote some…. thoughts about you. I need a friend right now…. who won’t pick on me for coming out… I thought about telling Hikari-chan first cause I had a crush on her too and thought she looks cute as well…. but I was scared to come out to her…. because I was afraid she’d freak out. I never really see you around boys that often, you always seem to hang out with other girls, like your cute teammates and friends… you looked cute when you’d walk to go shopping or play sports or whatever surrounded by your cute group of friends or teammates, like you seemed to have some sort of effect on them…. like you’d say jump and they’d do it, I liked how your friends act around you….I wish I had friends like that to keep me that kinda company." Miyako said, blushing and twitching her finger, afraid she was rambling.
Despite herself, Sora had to take a moment to digest all the info that had just been presented. In that moment of hesitation one thought was able to become totally clear that she needed to manage as soon as possible.
"Of course I’m not mad at you, there’s nothing wrong with liking girls. That anyone would laugh at you is terrible," Sora inwardly cringed at her own words, they were crude, rushed, and while she meant them saying them with such confidence was a bit uncomfortable when she herself hadn’t had the courage to come out to anyone.
Anything else she said might come off wrong if she didn’t take the time to put together her thoughts so she took advantage of the notebook presented to her for time. The pictures were cute, Sora considered briefly asking if Miyako was interested in going into fashion when her thoughts screeched to a halt as Miyako’s words finally caught up with her.
Looking up from the words scrawled across the pages that had reminded her of the situation, Sora stared somewhat shocked at Miyako, barely able to make out her own words above the thudding sound in her chest that was increasing in pace at an extraordinary rate.
"You… like me?"
Miyako let out a small sigh and said “Thanks…. that means a lot coming from you.” Miyako seemed a bit relieved to at least have someone on her side. But when it came time to talk about liking Sora, Miyako blushed again. “I just find you very cute… I like your cute outfits, particularly whenever you wear long socks or stockings, they really accentuate your legs.”
Miyako then started to turn away a little and said. “I have to admit…. as scared as I have been to talk to you, I have watched you quite a bit.” Miyako said. “I just find it cute when you’re hanging our with your teammates or cute group of friends. You all wearing cute outfits, and the other girls seemed to be really close to you and such, walking together really close, with those cute outfits practically touching… For a while, I thought about just coming out to and asking out one of your cute friends friends, so I wouldn’t have to tell you, but I guess you know why I’ reluctant to tell strangers how I feel. What happened today was because I asked a girl out on a date.” Miyako added. “Your friends certainly are athletic like you, and I heard you and your friends often wrestle and play around and fight. I watched you and your soccer teammates pile on top of each other during a practice once. It looked pretty cute.” Miyako said with a blush. “I like to watch girls get into tussles and fights.”
Sora tugged at her thigh high socks subconsciously and blushed a bit, “Uh, thank you.” she searched for something else to say, unused to receiving many compliments, “I uh…”
She paused, wishing she could catch her thoughts for long enough to understand what she should do in this situation. Should she invite Miyako to watch a derby match? Or would that seem like changing the subject? Should she broach the topic of the rejection Miyako had received? She wasn’t sure if it was still too fresh to talk about…
Finally she settled on the first thing that came to mind, “I think you’re really cute too. I love how passionate you are about stuff and I really like…”
Sora stopped herself, flushing, that was coming out like a confession and she… she what? Sora attempted to ignore the thudding of her heart and succumbed to the panic of not knowing what to do.
"I mean that you’re really sweet and I uh, I think it’s terrible that you were made fun of and uh I," she felt her face reddening, she wasn’t making any sense and she wasn’t sure she knew how to find sense again. She also couldn’t seem to stop babbling.
(OOC: Sorry for the delay.)
Miyako was nervously playing at her very light purple nylons as well, trying to think of something to say. “Thank you very much….” Miyako started, a little unsure of herself but tired to continue. I just…. I wanted to be able to hang around you, like that cute group of friends that crowd around you a lot. I just really like how cute you are when you hang out with your teammates and friends, you look super cute all together.” Miyako said, trying to compliment.
"In fact, that’s why I started wearing skirts and nylons more often, because you and your cute group of friends wear nylons and stockings or long socks all the time." Miyako said, shyly. "It really bring out and accentuates your cute legs very well…"
