Shivers went down her spine, feeling herself grow cold. Before she could react, she felt the world go dark, the throbbing in her head being something she currently couldn't even feel. This is exactly what she had been trying to avoid. Had she listened to her gut feeling, she should have called a friend, an escort, someone to take her home. Instead, she took the risk, and now she was going to die for it. She didn’t even know how far they were going, if they had even gone far at all.
Gold dangled from there wrists, wrapped around their arms and necks. Their clothing made of the finest silk. Clearly, they were being prepared for something. And by their surroundings, it was extravagant. Through the corner of her eyes, she could see what awaited them. Two crowns, jeweled with beautifies. One was larger than the other, clearly one being for a man and a woman. She couldn’t help the bright smile that pulled over her lips, the excitement of being here being overwhelming. Her arms wrapped around someone’s neck, having to use her toes to lift herself a bit further up.
She wouldn’t doubt they were. She shot them a glance before her attention turned back to the man, drawing in a breath. She had waited for this her whole life, and having been partnered with someone like him made it all the more worth while.. Her gaze was fixed on the necklace that hung around his neck, the large red jewel in the center having been something that had been hidden away for so long, being brought out only for him, a similar one hanging around in the center of one of her rings.
She knew it was against the rules, to have any physical contact before the ceremony, but she didn’t care. She was about to pull herself further up using his shoulders, about to claim those lips that would soon truly belong to her -
But her eyes snapped open before she could even see his face. Why should would have a dream like that, with this happening, was beyond her. And quickly, she knew where she was again, her heart racing, her hands cold, trembling. She didn’t know why she was here, what she had done. All she knew was that she had to go, turning and twisting her wrists in an attempt to get her arms free, her hues shooting around to try and figure out where she was.
