Morgan took long moment to answer her question, sipping on her drink as her lips curved into a smile. “Cary Grant. . Katharine Hepburn. Errol Flynn ” She placed her finger on her closed lips. “Makes me kind of wish I’d get back into Hollywood now that I think about it.”

"But isn't it just assumed now that relationships don't last and everybody is just sleeping with everybody else, anyway? At least as far as Hollywood is concerned?" She didn't concern herself with the entertainment industry that often but it wasn't difficult to get the gist of the headlines when one was standing in the checkout line of the local supermarket. "Very few people like to talk about how long Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have managed to remain a couple - don't that make it more plausible that casual sex and cameraman blowjobs are more acceptable in this day and age?" She matched the woman's smile with one of her own as she set her empty glass down on the table. "And how was Katharine Hepburn? She's amazing in so many other ways - was she good at romancing the stone as well, if you catch my drift? And as for today's Hollywood, who sits atop your desired bang list?"

Kitty smiled. “He sounds like me,” she said, laughing. “I’d definitely say I was spoiled growing up, although I didn’t really play hooky. The only time I asked to stay home when I wasn’t sick was when I stayed up too late trying to perfect my sister’s birthday cake. And it was, like, June, so I wasn’t missing much.” She made a face and nodded. “I think maybe cause the dry air makes your sinuses act up anyway, even if you aren’t sick.”

"He knows the minute his grades start slipping, all the extra things go away. But that was sweet of you. How many years did it take before you perfected making your sister's birthday cakes?" She's never really spent much time in a kitchen, baking. She could mix up a mean potion, if needed, but cakes and the sort fell nowhere in her bag of tricks. "That's probably true. Spring brings the allergies and winter brings the dry air." She gave a quick wave as she started stepping backwards down the aisle. "Well, I should be getting back to my boy but hopefully I'll see you around town or something. In the meantime, I hope you feel better."

“Really?” Olivia asked, her brows arching in interest. She’d seen the sonogram with her own two eyes, but it was always so hard to tell from the picture just how big the baby was inside her, and how they were growing. The books helped, but somehow hearing it from someone else made her swell with a healthy dose of glow. “I have no doubt about that. Everyone keeps warning me that I’m not ready for it, but is anyone ever ready for their first kid? Is that something you get trained to do when you graduate college? My parents sucked, so I didn’t get the how to be a mom handbook.”

The woman sounded more wise than Olivia could hope to be, and her advice made a lot of sense. “I’d like to think I’ll put all my best qualities forward, but patience is one I might have to work on. I’m great with taking my time on a great story, but with people it requires a little more finesse.” Cravings were a whole different ballpark, though she was grateful to have someone to talk to that wouldn’t cringe at the thought. “Well one night is was pickles and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Then I ate an entire case of strawberries in one sitting. I think the worst one so far is all the meat. I mean I love meat more than the next person, but the kid wants ribeye steaks smothered in shrimp.”

Indi nodded, letting the woman speak her peace about her still baking bundle of joy. She spoke the truth - nobody had prepared her for Micah and as far as she was concerned, she'd done a magnificent job with him. He was all the best parts of his father, which wasn't saying much but definitely way more parts of her. "I didn't go to college so I'm not sure if there's a special course I missed out on but my boy's a teenager now and frankly, I had absolutely no help at all and he's turned out pretty much wonderful. I'm sure my father wouldn't have sucked passing on what knowledge he could but my mom wasn't any help at all."

"Except when it's your kid, you tend to handle them differently. And there will be days you lose your patience and then you have to buck up and apologize to your own child for yelling at them. It usually involves some some of ice cream bribery too but they forgive and forget rather easily as long as it's on the rare occurrence." Her eyebrows shot up at the mention of pickles and peanut butter and jelly. "Pump the brakes. This kid made you ruin pickles with a PB&J sandwich? I mean, forget all the meat, I'm afraid that's one offense I can't forgive from your unborn offspring." She smiled, hoping the woman would catch that it was nothing short of a joke. "I've never heard of a growing fetus craving that much meat though."

Amber nodded her head and offered a faint smile. “I think I should be okay. It won’t be fun to continue walking but I don’t think that it’s the end of the world. I’ll make sure to ice it when I finally get to work.” she decided. “I really don’t want to bother you or take you away from whatever it is you were out and about doing today.” It was enough that the woman had been willing to help her collect her papers, she didn’t want to cause any more issues. “It’s nice to meet you Indi. I’m Amber.” she introduced. “And I believe that we did. Thanks for that.”

She hadn’t noticed the woman had earphones in, and she managed to offer the woman a brief apologetic look as she held up the broken remnants of her pencil. “Uh, I’ve had a slight mishap, curious if you have a pencil I could borrow?”

She smiled at the woman, hoping to ease the apologetic look on her face. "Oh yeah, that's definitely a mishap." She pulled the earphones out of her ears and set them on the table next to her as she searched through her bag."I should have multiple pencils in here, somewhere." She looked back inside the bag in her lap before presenting the other woman with a handful of pencils. "What are you working on anyway? Anything that needs an opinionated eye?"

Bring on them all moving out then maybe I will actually sleep for once.” she replied with a grin, knowing that despite everything, and given a choice, she would still step up and take care of her siblings if they needed her. That’s what family did, in her book. When she caught onto what the woman was saying, she grinned, laughing before she covered her mouth upon realising how unintentionally loud she’d been. “Oh, wait now I get it. Well there’s always that. It’s preferable, it really is.”

"I've never really had siblings so I don't know much about them but I grew up super close to my cousins and they were a handful a lot of the time." As much as she missed her mother from time to time, the fact that she was forced to leave the closest thing to sisters she'd ever had had been the harder thing. She laughed along as the other woman covered her mouth due to volume. "I make no apologies for the comment. Nothing really compares to a warm body in your bed but it's a pretty decent replacement going the other way. Actually, maybe I should say sorry. That's a pretty personal thing to bring up."

I’m so lovable, why wouldn’t you want mugs with my face on it.” he replied with a grin, sometimes the arrogance was a joke, sometimes it wasn’t. There was no actual way of telling, not with Nick. He gave a mock playful gasp, crossing his finger over his chest in a cross, “I’m a boy scout I wouldn’t use my powers for evil now. That’s terrible of me.”

"How do we go about getting more of those made? Oddly enough, I'd like to own a mug or two with your mug on it now. I don't know it just feels like a thin that everybody in Hollow Grove needs now, don't you think?" It was almost too easy to joke with him - to the point she wasn't even sure if she was trying to be dickish about it or if she was completely genuine. She nodded in agreement as he made the sign of the cross over his heart. "Oh my God, are you allowed to do that?! How are you not currently burning for that?"

She had a point, and really she knew she’d just been looking for an excuse to change into sweats and stay on the couch with a bottle of wine. “Is that a promise? Because I swear, for someone that gives advice for a living, I’m really bad at the whole flirting-for-drinks thing.”

"It's because humans are social creatures and we aren't meant to spend every night staying in." Indi offered back a smile of her own, still flicking through the rack of dresses as she glanced between them and the other girl. "It's an absolute promise. Don't even flirt for the drinks. I'm telling you - you could stand them, hip jutted out and if the drinks don't all get sent your direction - I will find a way to cover the cost of every drink you missed. Even if I have to sell you my business. What is it you're trying to watch anyway?"

Dax was focused on the bugs the Micah was flipping through so much so that when Indi joined them, he was surprised enough to start a bit. "Oh it’s no imposition, besides he’s the only kid around here that’s interesting enough to hold a conversation with. And he’s past the ‘jam-hands’ stage of life, so he’s free to touch the computer.” He meant the “jam-hands” comment as a joke but he also knew that he failed with jokes more often than not. 

Dax held out a hand toward the seat across from them as an invitation to sit as well as he went back to his food. “Any curiosity in bugs that doesn’t involve pulling wings off of insects or any other sociopathic behavior is always a welcome change.” He heard the disgusted comments all day long and fought the irritation it brought. It was refreshing to talk bugs with someone who gave a shit, even if he was only 13. “How is the business?” Dax asked more because social rules dictated it than because he had a mind for business. Not to mention he didn’t mix well with kids usually.

Micah may have been past the 'jam-hands' stage but he was far from a clean and orderly kid. She already knew when they got home, his shoes would be discarded right inside the door and his jacket thrown over the back of the couch but she simply nodded at Dax's comment. "I know where to find you some little sticky fingers if you ever change your mind."

She slid into the booth across from them, once again listening to his words without offering any input. There were potions that required certain wings from certain bugs and maybe he just wasn't aware of that fact or chose to ignore it but she refused to be the one to supply that information - it had been a while since she'd spent any time potion making but it was still a thing she was guilty of. "The business is -" she thought about the center before a smile crossed her face. "- it's good. There's enough babies in this town, we stay pretty busy. What are you guys looking at anyway?"

“Savannah Grace Designs… Savannah…. fu–” she scribbled across the name she’d written hastily across her notepad, the flowery design pretty, but not her. “Why is this so damn hard?” she snapped, hand tightening its grip on her pencil before she heard a SNAP and realised she’d broken it. “Oh, great. Do you have a pencil?” she asked the nearest person, sighing a little.

She found herself away from the Center for Little Rascals for a quick second and had just settled into a nearby seat with the latest episode of her favorite podcast when she overheard the small series of events from a nearby table and looked up as a question was directed her way. "Once more..." She removed an earbud from her ear, having not heard the full question, "...i'm sorry, what were you asking?"

Trust me, there was once a party where they had my face on everything.” he replied with a nod, “And, no I didn’t make it all myself I’m  not that egotistic.” he loved that his birthday landed on the day it did, it was easy to get caught up in the excitement. “But, as soon as people find out it’s my birthday they immediately change their plans and begin to celebrate me instead, everyones your friend on New Years Eve.”

“At this party, did they happen to even put your mug on a collection of actual mugs? Or is there a collector somewhere out there who has procured them all and hidden them away from the world?” The questions were all of a joking manner - most people who were egotistical didn’t ever take the effort to admit they weren’t. “Wait…” She leaned in slightly, “…do they celebrate you because they want to or is this what you use your vampireness for? I mean, I love a party as much as the next person but I’ve never had a party derail itself to focus on one person unless it was planned for said person from the beginning.”

Kitty gave a soft giggle. “I think he’d get – well, sick of it before then,” she said, with another little laugh. “No pun intended. But doing something like that is only fun the first two or three times, and then you do all the things like watch bad TV and sleep in, and it doesn’t seem as interesting anymore.” She nodded. “That’s what I usually do, but I haven’t been sick in a while. So I wanted to get something stronger just in case.”

Indi smiled over the use of the pun even as Kitty dismissed it. “You would think and he doesn’t do it often. Plus I’m a little bit of a pushover and he’s a good kid so I’ve let him play hooky for things like special events for his favorite band. He’s really a spoiled kid.” She took a step back with a slight nod. “Well that’s a good idea - there’s never a good time to get a cold but it always seems to be ten times worse in the winter.”

With the big ass house he wanted finally purchased, Tobias now had to fill the empty ass kitchen with something other than blood bags. Well, he didn’t have to, but variety ain’t ever hurt anybody. He walked through produce first, tossing fruits and veggies into his cart willy nilly, then moved on to breads, meats, dairy, etc. The cart was getting full by the time he stopped in the chip aisle to peruse their selections. “Friend pickles with ranch?” he muttered to himself. That was a flavor? How’d he miss that one? Tobias grabbed the bag and opened it, popping one into his mouth. Hmm. Not bad. He was mid-crunch when someone turned the corner and caught him with his mouth full. There was a moment of silence, Tobias chewing all the while, before he slowly held the bag out to them. “Want one?”

Every two weeks, like clockwork, one could find Indira at the grocery store on a mission to restock the shelves and the fridge. It constantly surprised her when she didn't have to take an extra trip in between just to make sure Micah was getting all the nutrients doctors say children require. She'd already grabbed everything she needed for the meals she'd planned to make and the few things she'd leave in the freezer for nights when she'd rather not cook and allowed her child to fend for himself. Since she had opted for the bigger grocery store instead of Joe's, there was no getting her usual snack food but if there was some sort of easy to grab and eat bag of something on hand, somebody was bound to rage. She stopped short as she turned the corner and was greeted with a beautiful sight. An open bag of pickle flavored chips. "Are you kidding me? Yes, please." She stuck a hand in the bag, grabbing a few before flashing him a grin. "But can I tell you what's even better? Pickle flavored popcorn trumps..." She scoffed as that last word left her mouth. "...these are good but the popcorn version is ten times better. Have you tried it?"
