Decided to make a new blog specifically for indulging in shows that I like, because even on Tumblr the Fandom Site, I still get self-conscious and anxious when talking about shows to small audiences following me for other stuff.

Here is my safe space to rant, blab on, etc. etc. with no restraint!

((These are my favourite shows and show fandoms! I have tons of other movies and tv shows that I really like but don't really engage in fandom stuff. These specifically are the ones where I think of scenarios for the characters, aka these are the fellas I like to put in situations))

The joy of finding an AceAro club near me and connecting with more people was unfortunately subverted when I went to a meeting and found that they were absolutely unprepared for the "meet & greet" they had promised

This obviously isn't a "AceAro meetings bad" post (just covering that for the folks with no reading comprehension), but this specific group meeting was so bad that I need to vent somewhere

There was no chance to TALK, only to listen to the two (sometimes three) who were talking, and when you managed to ask a question in an attempt to start a conversation (and you know, actually connect with people, the whole point of the meeting), you would get one response and then they would go back to ignoring you. These two were the MAIN PEOPLE BEHIND THE MEETING

The seating arrangement was so that we were all close together, so separate conversations would be difficult to have. Several of us (either half of or majority of the group, I think?) sat silent and awkward

Keep in mind I am very socially anxious so piping up isn't easy, and doing so only to get like a two-word answer and then ignored? Not fun.

Good on you for starting the club to begin with and all that and setting this up, but you can't just stop there. You can't arrange a meeting if you're going to take over the whole conversation without allowing some back-and-forth.

Write icebreakers for people to ask (better than nothing). Open a discussion for the whole group and give people time to talk. Give people the opportunity to actually make connections

People who draw peeled Jax happy thank you for your service BUT you don't have to draw the eyes tiny!! We know that Jax's pupils grow and are by default big (and presumably when happy). The reason they were small in that scene is because he was not having a good time

Art also becomes more questionable when the subject can see it. Like what if you came across an art piece of yourself bleeding out in agony

Though I suppose if you have any sort of online presence strong enough to get someone to daydream about you in the first place, that won't be the most fucked up art you'd find of yourself, but it'd still be...concerning to some level

Someone made porn of you -> they were horny, they find you sexually appealing, they like the chemistry between you and [insert person you interact with]

Someone made gore art of you -> ??? are they planning something? Do they hate you?? Do they want you dead?

I get the feeling that either A) Jax doesn't want to leave because that would mean leaving Ribbit and Kaufmo / he doesn't want to risk them being completely deleted or B) there's something in the real world he's afraid to face

Adding onto The Substance Merlin so I can also bring up the comedic possibility of a very confused, very alarmed Arthur seeing the effects, and the even better possibility of him thinking he caused them
