She called me and told me that she had no place to go and was depressed. She told me she loved me and wanted me to be near her. I really was worried for her, I even loved her. We had gotten closer that month after knowing each other for 4 years. She was one of my best friends. I told her immediately to wait there, and that I would come over and pick her up so we could talk and she could stay at my place.

As I was driving, tears streamed down my cheeks, I did not like this, something felt wrong. As I turned the corner near the home she had left a day ago, I saw an ambulance, paramedics and police cars, with lights flashing in a chaotic frenzy.

I stopped fast, jumped out and ran up the stairs to where she used to call home. An officer stopped me as I screamed at him "Where is she!!!!!!!???" I pushed and screamed, shaking but he held me back and took me outside. That's when I knew...The officer explained she had taken her life.

I fell to the ground, I cried and felt the world turn cold and dark. The pain I felt was a burning fire but it was frozen, cold and empty. This was the day things changed. For your memory AF, I will always love you.

Tate-LaBianca murders brief:

When mayhem ensued, Krenwinkel dragged coffee heiress Abigail Folger from her bedroom to the living room, fought with her, and stabbed her. When Folger tried to escape following the first round of stabbing, Krenwinkel was said to have chased Folger as she ran outside screaming. According to Krenwinkel, she pinned Folger to the ground and further stabbed her; the victim pleaded with her to stop by saying, "Stop, I'm already dead".   Krenwinkel continued to stab her so brutally that Folger's white nightgown appeared red to police investigators the following day.
