I don't think Shane's need to be perfect for his parents comes from a vacuum. I think she was probably nicer about the critiques than that poor kid she bullied but I think she took an active role with critiquing Shane's hockey until he got to a level where she couldn't help as much. But that probably coincided with the scouting and the press and the interviews and Shane's need for intense media training/reputation/image/brand became her main focus.

Can I speak my truth. I don’t think Brienne is even a little gay. I think she’s a kinsey zero who false positives on everyone’s radar.
