RWBY AU ideas that keep coming to me at midnight:

Kisa lives in Atlas and is able to provide a home base and/or for anything based there (I.e: if the kids and Antoku make it there/Jennu and Rin’s road trip)

Itzal has a lot of ties to the criminal underworld and, as such, can keep tabs on certain activities and transactions (the WF buying weapons, for example)

Itzal is also very willing to supply the kids with criminally obtained items, much to Kuriki’s delight

Ankoku is stuck in his Red Eye semblance mode for a while after the Grimm attack during the festival (cause there’s a LOT of bad emotions going around) and while he’s travelling with the kids. When it finally stops (I imagine if/when they reach Atlas (and by extension Kisa) and everyone had calmed down) he passes out and sleeps for a couple of days because of the toll it took on his body to be in Suped-up Adrenaline Strength mode for that long

Kisa’s semblance is some form of Sleep spell, basically. I haven’t worked out the intricacies but she can put people/Grimm/things in general to sleep

Still on the subject of Itzal, I kinda like the idea that at least the kids (the adults probably have had more contact with him and know what he’s like) think he’s just kinda a weird guy their uncle knows and is constantly moaning about and they don’t really know anything else about him until the Vytal festival.

Like, he comes with Loex and Danny and he’s playing up the “taking the piss obnoxious” angle cause he knows how much it pisses Danny off (and loex too) and he likes messing with them and then the Grimm invasion happens and he’s like “oh. ok. serious mode” and just drops all the playing
