I have one that I love. I'd say that sometimes when Magnus had to deal with a very difficult customer, especially some hard headed mundane, he's drained, mentally.
So he rests his head in Alec’s lap, laying on their couch, and vents it all out. Alec is just listening, maybe brushing his hair with his fingers and when Magnus is done, they turn their conversation into gossiping, maybe about that customer. :D I'd say it helps Magnus a lot.
And about their family, it would be fun if Magnus did for them once in a while something like magician's show, just for the laughs and giggles. :D Of course, instead of illusions a real magic. Alec would pretend how suprising and grand it all was, but the boys would love it. He would make it all dramatic, fun, flashy, and a little bit silly, and Max would try to mimic it, causing a complete chaos, but despite it, Magnus would repeat it again. :D
