A bouquet arrives for Q. Dempsey via courier. The bundle is wrapped in simple brown paper, light, crinkly, a little damp on the inside, but the flowers are bright and perky. Wild little yellow things that smell like sweet summer, blushing pink roses, wide open white anemones, and springs of fragrant green herbs. The flowers are remarkably lively, given the late winter clime. They are probably from one of Ineka's gardens.

Tucked in the center, wrapped in wax paper to protect against the damp, is a note and a bag of spiced herbal tea blend.

"Heya Quinn,

Just wanted to say thank ya for all your hospitality and support with the secretary thing. Woulda gone in there blind without ya. You're a real kind lady. Looking forward to working with you!

Will probably pester you soon,

The drawl doesn't translate to text beyond the shortening of a word here or there, but it still sounds distinctly Ineka.

"Somethin' I build with m'own hands." Ineka says almost immediately, and then takes a second or two to think about it further.

"It ain't gotta be big. Just cozy enough. Stuck b'tween som' trees, with a lil' barn, som' nice lil' windows so I can watch th'snow in th'winter."

Ineka sighs dreamily.

She scritches her chin. "I think only literally two." There's a thoughtful hum from her then.
