Ah…. how sweet. The faintest of blushes tints Mami’s cheeks as a small smile tugs at the corners of her lips. Really, at the end of the day it was people like Sayaka that she kept at it for, people like Sayaka who gave her the courage to get up on stage in the first place. All Mami had ever wanted to do with her life was to make people happy and knowing that maybe she had been able to do that even without a stage persona was… well, it made her proud.
And that’s the moment she decides that she will pay back that feeling.
"I… I-I’m glad to have left such a good impression, truly." She allows with a nod. "I suppose I just don’t spend much time around others my age… i-it can be a bit intimidating when I feel so out of practice, if that makes any sense. You’d expect an idol to be far more confident but… mm… i-if anything, I’d probably have to describe myself as flighty and awkward."
"That's okay though! I mean...it's just been a while then, right? Heck, I'd be a little out of practice too if I never really got much of a chance to talk to other people outside of a job." Sayaka shrugged.
"The way I look at it, I don't really expect anything out of someone as an idol, you know. It's not too hard a concept to grasp--that someone as an idol and someone as themselves, can be two different people. To expect you to always act like your idol persona is kind of unrealistic, you know?" Sayaka tilted her head. "I guess I'm trying to say, I'd prefer Tomoe-san to act like herself, when we're just...hanging out, you know? I know that this is some kind of contest prize result thing, but still...you're not on stage. It may be a little out of line for me to say, but I really like getting to know the real Mami Tomoe."
