ok i really love adam but i canāt stand his augs and how they sit on his body, especially considering their function. seeing how he can canonically heft refrigerators and leap nine feet into the air &c thereās a lot of support and structure that seems to have been completely forgotten about. so iām going to try to make amends to that.Ā
using a handy dandy anatomy chart i ripped from google hereās a rough approximation of the prostheses/systems that have completely replaced his muscles, ligaments, and the other aspects of his physical anatomy. iām kinda eyeballing it here but this seems about right.Ā
the arms lookā¦ fine enough at face value (bad support is still an issue and since you snap the prosthesis into the shoulder joint itself, iād fear it popping off with too much physical stress and/or a firm tug) but the transfemoral cutoff at his legs is ridiculously out of place. nobodyās going to be able to squat/jump/lift/balance/run ābetterā if the muscles actually in charge of that arenāt improved. as it stands now heād just have heavier, more awkward legs that would take much longer to adjust to since only part of the muscle system was replaced.Ā
now iām not anatomy man but hereās my attempt at an improvement with more muscles replaced, maybe not by the prosthetic itself but by a structural overlay of sorts, as you kinda sorta see on his shoulder in canon. pretty sure this is on the practically frugal end but i tried to keep The Aesthetics in mind
this unfortunately skimps out on the legs since a lot of support for the legs is more internal than external but act like thatās covered. either way his glutes and pecs are added into that system for better adjustment and for reinforcement purposes. more important than that though is the fact that his lats and most of his back is covered! that gives him a lot more power and, crucially, reinforces his spine. providing a near-complete line of reinforcement from his foot to his spine to his fist means he packs a lot of force to his upper body especially, which seems to be the case in canon.
to go all out, hereās one with a more solidly reinforced spine and a filled in back/chest space, but itās not quite as pretty looking or memorable in terms of outline. either way it goes in line with the wholeĀ āmore metal than manā thing (and in my onion both options look significantly better than the āthigh highs and sleevesā deal heās got going on in canon)
