So crazy how you have the worst day of your life but then the next day the sun keeps shining and the airâs just a little cooler w the onset of fall and you realize that thereâs nothing you canât come back from because the only time it will ever be too late is when weâre dead and not ever before
I vividly remember talking to one of my favorite professors about how Iâm scared things will fall apart after graduation and how Iâm so unused to change and her just going âif things fall apart then they do and u just pick up the pieces and start over again and itâs fine. Things falling apart is not this mammoth fear u should be worried aboutâ and I remember these words every time I want to pursue or seize something bc literally the worst thing that can happen is it doesnât work out âŠ.. and then I just pick up the pieces and start all over again
yesterday i had some fuckin weird symptoms but my favourite (?) was when i was vomiting and i had a vivid and intense auditory hallucination of a movie announced guy saying 'FROTTING. NOW IN 4K.' that echoed all around my bathroom. unironically improved the experience.
doing things at the right age is literally a made up concept. you can start/pursue anything at any age. btw.

they used to make smackable technology. you used to be able to hit your tv when it didn't work good.
when I was a kid I had an old tv in my room that would always turn to unwatchable static in the middle of shows but one night my sister and I were watching Naruto & every time Kakashi was on-screen the static cleared so we were like âhahaha the tv looooves Kakashi.â
I had a Kakashi bookmark so we held it up against the screen as a joke but the static actually cleared up. Mystified, we tried different bookmarks and objects with the same plastic material but nothing else worked, only the Kakashi bookmark.
We ended up taping it to the corner of the screen and it stayed there for 11 years until we moved out. When I was older people would be like âcan you move the bookmark off the screenâ bc it did sort of block a bit of the view but I would demonstrate the static issue and everyone was always just like âhuh. what the hell?? wellâŠalright.â
No explanation, but thanks Kakashi.
I had a similar tv! It was a tv with a built in dvd and vcr because it was in college and Iâm apparently old now. But! The dvd player never wanted to play- unless it was Chicago (2002). First, we would put that dvd in, let it start, and then swap it for the movie we really wanted to watch. It got to the point where we would put in the dvd we wanted and sing âhe had it coming!!!â At the screen at volume. Fucking worked *every time*
Bizarre.
I miss when technology had real personality, instead of fake ones designed to generate lies and nonsense and spy on you.
house as character trope i love you. house as gaping wound in the maw of creation trope i love you. house as caretaker and house as abuser and house as dog that bites the hand that feeds it i love you. house as safety perverted i love you. house as starving and hungry and desperate for attention i love you i love you i lo
project hail mary is insane bc the first half is like oh my god the world is dying and there's alien bacteria eating the sun and there's some guy alone on a ship and he's having a breakdown and the flashbacks are getting darker and this is a tragedy the likes of which i have never seen. then BAM andy weir says fuck you actually. here's this pokemon guy he's here to save the day with the power of friendship. and it's the best thing you've ever seen in your life
One of my favorite things about loving someone or developing a closeness or fondness towards someone is also loving and developing a fondness for the things they care about. When you learn to see the world in a new way, or you learn to appreciate the things youâve previously overlooked, or they become your excuse to get into an interest you always thought was cool but thought you didnât have time for. When a connection makes your world bigger and warmer and fuller and more beautiful.
