How do you know if a sketch will turn out good when its rendered out in full color ? when i do sketches sometimes they look really good on paper but i end up really hating how they look in full color, i understand color theory and color patterns but every artwork that i render out from a sketch that looks good , its mainly accidental what would you do in my position ? every advice from you would be greatly appreciated! your work is brilliant and inspiring! thanks for existing!

I never know if something is going to turn out good 😅 I have a LOT of sketches that i left unfinished because i got discouraged by my lineart alone that i didn’t even bother to color it.
Specially when i sketch digitally it becomes a mess...i literally never know if the drawing i’m doing will be finished, let alone posted, AND THAT’S OKAY!
Don’t expect everything you do to come out perfect, because that’s literally impossible. Even when i end up with a good lineart, i color it like 2 times and then add filters and then realize that it’s not a good drawing and let it go. Maybe the next day will bring a great drawing, maybe not, and that’s alright.
Advice? Reflect on your process. What is it that you don’t like exactly? the way you blend or the shading color? Is the brush you are using not cooperating? Is the lighting source established or are you shading everything everywhere?
Once you answer what exactly you don’t like about a certain drawing/technique, you can find ways to fix it. I recommend seeing the style of coloring you’d like to do, pull up your favorite drawings and see what they did, that helps a lot!
Play with the hues/saturation, sometimes i find out the colors i was using where washed out. Try blending modes with different colors, explore brushes and watch TONS of tutorials!
On my IG i have collections of drawings like ‘cute art’ ‘art for comics’ etc, and i look at them for reference depending on what i want to achieve. You’ll soon see how you grow and learn new techniques.
Every bad drawing you make is necessary, that’s how you’ll eventually get to make incredible pieces of artwork! I hope this helps 😅
