Teeth dissolve. Quickly. There's a mention of someone losing 8 teeth in two years

im not reading the whole article now (headache -_-), but later on the author of the article says about 30 million people (employed in agriculture) are at risk for extreme dental health problems. 30 million people at risk of not being able to eat solid food. 30 million people at risk of not being able to find work. being able to marry. being able to be part of their community. being able to speak clearly

this is. fucking horrible feels like an understatement, but it is the best i have. this exceptionally, terribly inhumane, and the pakistan goverment's lack of a plan to adress this is embarassing

Trying to find an old tumblr post I used to see a lot.

It started with someone listing "places with uncanny energy," like gas stations on a road trip, empty movie theaters, etc.

Then someone reblogged it and said those are called "liminal spaces," defining liminal as in-between, neither one thing nor another.

It was the first time I'd seen the term "liminal" applied to places like that, and it's driving me crazy, I want to find and put a date on it so bad.

as a long time fish it's been extremely funny watching people discover the concept of "if a fish were to smoke a cigarette, they would breathe out smoke through their gills" it's like watching when human babies discover they have hands

I have to add though, it is mildly distressing seeing people copy the original comic drawing 1:1 because it shows smoke coming out of the middle scale bit of the bony fish's gill opening as if it was also a hole. which it is not. it's more like a little fold connecting the armour pieces of the head together so they can swing apart
