"Do you even have any idea why I left Gehenna to begin with?"
Satan gazes at tbe hellhound with a bored expression âDo enlighten me, my daughter, eh?â
infernal-high-duke:
Thamuz had been engaged in a close quarters sparring match with a fellow soldier when the servant dressed in the court colours of Satan came scurrying up to him. The barracks courtyard was a busy place with warriors practicing their fighting moves, sharpening their weapons and tending to their horses. The place reeked of leather, sweat and dung and Thamuz could not think of a better smell It was the only place he felt at home.
The message was simple, he was to report to Satan immediately which gave him no time to prepare. All he could do was quickly wash his muddied, bloodied face in a bucket of water and hurry up to the citadel. His long hair is gone, replaced by an easier to care for shorter style which his mother said made him even more handsome.
A whispered shadow spell had him arrive instantly outside his lord and masters chamber. He enters, falling to one knee in a subservient bow which was proper for his current place in the hierarchy of Gehenna. When told to rise, he cannot help his surprise to see his wayward mate standing there, next to her father. His eyes do indeed widen with surprise and he offers her a stiff shorter bow.
âL-lady Paradox, It is unexpected to see you here..â as usual he has no idea how to speak to her and feels rather awkward âUhâŚare you here for long?â
No one would ever guess they were matedâŚ
âI get that a lot. I am unexpected sight for most people.â Despite the comment she tried to smile. The best way to bury he absolute disgust for the current situation. Though a sigh escaped her at his question. âI am starting to feel rather cramped so honestlyâprobably not. We all know I am most comfortable in Assiah,â Sadly more welcome and found more affectionate faces there. Although she would have to give credit where it was due. Shorter hair suited Thamuz so much more. The man was in need of bath but certainly a looker.
Leaning against a nearby wall in an attempt to hold her body and maybe her attention. âI was just explaining to my father here how we have tried to make things workâbut it just doesnât seem meant to be.â Clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth. âDonât be shy about it either. I have already told him.âÂ
The young shadow demon just swallows nervously and bows once more to his glowering master and then to Paradox again. He feels quite caught between a fiery chasm and a molten pit. He has no clue how to answer or how to express his true feelings that he agreed with Paradox. To do so would likely put him in Satanâs bad graces and also anger the old demon.
Despite his warrior lifestyle he was still bought up to be a gentleman, so answered the only way he knew how, So as to keep Paradox safe from here fatherâs ire
âMy lord, the blame lays solely on myself, I have been very inattentive to my mateâs needs. The mating came as quite the shock to me, I was ill prepared for such a thing and cannot see myself as a worthy mate to anyone. My Lord..Paradox has tried her best, I am to blame .â He knew he was babbling now from fear mostly and he was back on his knees, head bowed never looking Satan or Paradox in the eye
âPlease forgive me, My Lord but I will suffer any punishment you see fit to place upon me. I am not worthy of your most gracious daughter..â
