Hi hello fellow Warframe enjoyers, I have a question!
What was the moment Warframe clicked for you?
Cinematic intro cutscene
During the tutorial
After being let loose on the Origin System
Fortuna intro cutscene
During the Venus/Solaris questline
Entering one of the open worlds for the first time
Seeing the completely free battlepass in a post-fortnite world
After getting an archwing
After gaining access to Duviri
After The New War questline
Other (do tell me if you'd like I'm quite curious!)
I've noticed a trend on where literally all of my friends (plus myself) clicked at the exact same moment, so I wanna see if that trend continues in an even larger pool of people.
I've been addicted to Warframe since the very first moment I saw Loki's stupid hammerhead.
Fortuna intro definitely was one of the first big moments that i really liked after i started, but secondarily, i remember being very early in the game and getting carried through a higher level infested mission and loving all the designs (up to that point I had only encountered like chargers and runners, so that was my first time seeing brood mothers, ancients, boilers, mutation moas, ect) and immediately after i went and looked up infested on the market. When I saw nidus I made it my immediate first priority to get him and ive stuck with it ever since.
Okay so here's the big headcanon I put together for the Tau civil war which is 99.9% debunked by what we saw at Tennocon (the 0.1% is me huffing copium)
As they grew in number and complexity the Sentients of Tau divided themselves into the four great houses, with each one fulfilling a different role.
The House of Earth, with governance over that which is built. They are the architects, the manufacturers, the extractors and refiners of resources. They build Tau with their own hands, skilled craftsmen who exist to assemble the materials and tools of Tau. This is the largest of the great houses of Tau, with countless laborers in equally countless roles.
The House of Water, with governance over that which flows. They are responsible for distribution, transit, and logistics. If the House of Earth are the bones of Tau then the House of Water is its beating heart. Making sure materials, goods, and energy are moved where they need to be and optimizing the process by increments each time.
The House of Fire, with governance over that which destroys. This is the Sentient military branch. The force that defends Tau from invaders and launches attacks into the Origin system. Hunhow was once a prominent patriarch within the House of Fire. This house exists for combat, to protect their people and to destroy their foes.
And lastly the House of Air, with governance over that which is intangible. These are the brilliant minds of Tau, their great thinkers. A house of imagination, philosophy, invention, and even art. The smallest of the four houses, the House of Air is responsible for inventing new technologies, refining old ones, and producing plans to be distributed to the other houses of Tau. Archimedean Itzam came from the House of Air during the era of The Old Peace, a scholar of great wisdom.
In the wake of The New War's failed offensive, the four houses are in disagreement. The houses of Air and Fire seek to continue the war, to push for humanity's extinction while the houses of Earth and Water are weary and seek to end the war and bring peace between the systems. The House of Fire is fueled by generations of bloodlust and resent, their purpose is to fight and they are disinclined to shed their one overriding duty. As for the House of Air, their decision was cold calculation. With their many minds thinking forwards and backwards they created maps of possible futures, and far too many of those maps led to a future where one or both races were wiped out. The math is clear, exterminating mankind is the most likely path to everlasting peace and prosperity on Tau.
The houses of Earth and Water saw the failure of The New War as a sign that humanity could not be conquered, and pursuing further conflict would only bring annihilation. When the houses of Earth and Water refused to serve the houses of Air and Fire in restarting the war the House of Fire declared martial law, forcing the peaceful houses to capitulate or be whipped into submission. To be oppressed by their human makers was an old scar for the houses of Earth and Water but to be enslaved by their own people pushed them to radical means. They risked everything to send a simple message to the Origin system, meant to be heard by their ancient ally-foes, their lovingly hated enemy-friends the Tenno. The message held only a single word filled the hopes and fears of half an empire:
"Help."
Wouldn't be exactly the same but I am really hoping we'll get to see multiple different societies within tau and its not all just under the command of the hunras, like id love to see factions like who are still both against the tenno but with different motivations/end goals and ideally even multiple allied factions. I feel like they could mirror some of the conflicts in the origin system in some interesting ways. (I dont expect thus all to be in the tau update in december, but like long term thats what I hope for tau (also multiple tilesets i really want tau to be visually diverse even if not as much as the origin system since thats like 10 collective years of effort))
Mesa Heirloom (helmet lol)
Back from Tennocon feeling inspired to make so much new content for you guys! We're going to start off with Mesa! I have photos from the con I'll upload later. Didn't take a ton of photos though. I just wanted to live in the moment not behind a screen or camera (which is how I spend most of my life already lol).
all the horns!
This will sustain me for 1000 years.
I feel like a withering plant. Where is the warframe part of the warframe live event.
they have GOT to stop doing soulframe stuff during goddamn tennolive
I'm back with NIDUUUUSSS!!! Look at those mutations!

Oh my god what the fuck
they're turning him into a DEMON?
Yeah i think theyre specifically going for gargoyle, which is funny because thats what I thought he'd be themed after before they showed his design with all of the Gothic themeing in the entrati labs and the operation for that update being called gargoyle's cry

it bothers me that you often don't really hear about people having a "favorite album" the way they might have a favorite movie or favorite video game
fuck it. reblog this and tell me in the tags what your favorite album is
Styanax Prime
The only thing i dont like about the nidus touch up is that they made parasitic link even more bad and obtrusive looking
it is very rare that anyone actually notices her but when they do it makes me very happy
ok the people seem to like her so you also get to see her sisters
first is godawful thang she's a kubrow with kavat genes. the game took kavat variable elements (head and tail) and tried to apply them to a kubrow so she just has a kavat tail over her regular tail and a kavat head inside her neck
next up we got the scrungler she's a huras mixed with a vasca kavat. she doesn't actually have a body i dont think, she has a kavat head in there and a vasca tail and i think the game failed to apply vasca fur onto a kubrow frame so she looks like a piñata
then last we have raw chicken she's a kavat with kubrow mixed in so the game tried to look for kavat variable elements in a kubrow imprint which resulted in her just not having a head or tail. when shes sleeping in my orbiter she looks like a raw chicken hence her name
