Tribute to Haru Urara (27.2.1996 - 9.9.2025). I wanted to commemorate her final, very eventful year! I'm sure we all remember her first ever win, in a race for senior horses, and the "incident" of fans all over the world donating over 2500 kilos of grass (and causing the donation website to crash). Truly, she was and is the Shining Star of Losers Everywhere. May you race the stars and win, Haru Urara!

I got into the game because of the real horse Haru Urara. I knew about the horse that never won a single race way before I played the actual game, and part of the reason I even decided to play at all was because any community that loved an animal so much that they would donate to take care of her without even meeting her seemed like a community I could enjoy being a part of.

I don’t have any special attachment to the in game Haru (though today in honor of her passing I did spend money so that I could finally get her to 3 stars -which also led me to getting the Seiun Sky I was chasing so it was like a little farewell present in a way-) but I showed my family videos of the real Haru Urara just going through a simple day. Of her playing. Of how much she was loved. And I found out today that I cared way more than I thought I did.

Goodbye Little Horsey, Shining Star of Losers, and the best horse of all time. I’ll keep trying hard, even if I’m not winning, just like you did. Thanks for the smiles, rest in peace and love. Thank you and goodnight Haru Urara.
