Jona looks so tired in that moment. “I’d rather not think of it at all really. I’d only end up losing time for what? Ruminating what I could’ve done? Could’ve, should’ve, would’ve… I’ll never forgive him for the undue cruelty. But if I had a way to bring him to justice without him to push him to the edge.“ She shakes her head. “All these what ifs. In the end that’s all they’re going to be. I will not blame you Ms. Fortunato. Doing so would invalidate the fact that he had been given a chance to live a good life by my family’s resources. Perhaps the two of us are simply a bad mix: both equally stubborn for different reasons.”
“I cannot speak for my father as he and I have a tumultuous relationship up until his illness. But I’m sure he wouldn’t blame you. If it soothes your conscience, I do try to live my life the best as it is. You too should pass on, madam. A heavy heart is not a burden I like seeing in someone else.”
“Though if I could request- What odds would it even be for you to meet him but- If you meet my father-” She still. “‘I’m sorry we couldn’t have parted in better terms and, I’m living quite well please do not worry about me.’ That is all.”
“I understand.” she does. Looking back to Jona she gives another smile. “No issue. I’ll be sure to locate George and deliver that message... have you anything you’d like me to say to your mother perhaps? i believe she’s easy to locate...” Athena says, looking past Jona now. She nods her head and sighs, flattening her dress some.
“I stay on earth to visit humans and befriend them, but I do go home a lot. Message to George will be given. Thank you for being such a wonderful talk partner, Jona.”
