CPUT Student Media Conference 2018.
Hello from the other side! As Lance Witten said last week on the 8th August 2018 at CPUT Granger Bay Campus(Cape Town Hotel School) that âwho controls the media, controls the mindâ, haha now allow me to control your mind with the information I am about to share with you.
The CPUT Student Media Conference presented by the CPUT Media Department, this year (2018)marked 16 years. This yearâs Media Conference theme was âMedia and the changing Environmentâ with focus on MEDIATISATION, addressed by guest speakers Lance Witten, Jeffry Onganga, Gasant Abarder, Courtney Africa and Nadine Cloete. The Student Media Conference once again impacted CPUT Media Department Reputation and Corporate Identity positively as it lifted the BRAND up because on the day of the event #CPUTMedia trended on Twitter and facebook, like how amazing is that! Bare in mind that my Department trended for the good reasons of course!
The guest speakers are CPUT Alumnis and/or Graduates for an example the keynote Speaker Lance Witten is the CPUT Journalism Graduate and he is going places as he is KFM Breakfast Show presenter, eNCA Anchor/Reporter and Heart FM News Editor and lastly Live editor (Independent Media Digital), he is indeed lifting CPUT Media Departmentâs flag very high and helping build a favourable/good corporate reputation and Identity. There is also Jeffry Onganga who is also CPUT PR Graduate who works as the Media Communications officer at the Pan African Parliament.
It is not only the Alumnis that contributed in maintaining a positive corporate Identity, Image and reputation at the Student Media Conference but also the branding spoke volumes, everywhere there was âMedia Conferenceâ, âCPUT Media Departmentâ. Social media is also helping in keeping the brand relevant and positive.
Thank you for your time, I really appreciate!Â
