She hadnât noticed, not until he mentioned it, butâŠhuh. She wonders if he minded, if it was lonely because of his curse and that people from his world couldnât see him. At least people in Hive were able to see the guy. His bad luck didnât seem to be around right now. At least, thatâs what she thought. Nothingâs happened to her, or maybe sheâs immune. That kind of thought would make her laugh, because Mirae wasnât immune to certain things. She wants to ask how come youâre with the curse? are there others like you who have it? the curse and not the blessing? But she doesnât. What if he WAS the only one and itâd just bring out unwanted feelings?Â
Hair tied in a high F A T bun does get just a tad bit loose thanks to the wind. Itâs not strong enough to undo her hair completely, thank goodness. âA mindless dragon? You become a dragonâŠ.ButâŠ..â She frowns, trying to work these information out. âYour kind becomes dragons when that happens? Is there a way to come back from it? Are you stuck that way for eternity?â Sheâs glad he doesnât seem to have any intentions of blocking out his feelings. It wouldnât be good for the people around him, her, and of course himself.Â
Ears are picking up different kind of noises, now. âThereâs some creatures nearby.â They donât sound too dangerous. There probably wouldnât be a need to attack, unless needed.Â
Eizen paused when she mentioned the animals nearby- they were probably harmless. They werenât too high up on the path yet, the town was shrinking into the background though. Snow crunching beneath his feet as he checked for any kinds of tracks. Velvet had always been much better at this kind of thing.
âYes, our kind becomes dragons if they canât maintain their purity. Big horrific things thatâll burn down cities and eat travelers. Most of us do not though, its not a common occurrence- weâre careful.â Well, the others were anyways. Kneeling down into the snow, he brushed some of the top layer away revealing some hoof prints. Definitely not reptilian, not what they were looking for just yet.
He hesitates on answering the second part of the question, he knows what his fate is. Didnât mean he liked it. âOnce you become a dragon ⊠There is no returning- there are rumors of ways to reverse it. Supposedly with a strong enough purifying flame you might be able too, but the flame would have to come from no one short of a god themselves.â He stands back up, satisfied with what hes found for now. âBut those are all just fantasies, excuses, hopes of people who have lost everything else. When you become a dragon, the only way to stop it is death.â He looked down at his hands, that was the only real way to save them. He had killed a dragon before, heâd do it again⊠and if that man kept his promise⊠Heâd kill Eizen when he transformed. The world has no need for dragons like that.
âAll that doom and gloom aside, weâre making pretty good progress. Smaller animals live up here, which means bigger animals hunt them. Weâre probably getting close.â
Sheâs studying him. Watching his body language, the way his eyes drops to his hands and the way tone of his voice. Sheâs even more curious. What if he turns into a dragon? Would he? Would he lose himself to....who knows. She canât help but NOTICE that strange feeling inside of her. The kind that says âkeep an eye on himâ. But she shouldnât have to feel that way, right? Maybe....Maybe he wonât lose, maybe all these body language is because he had to off a close friend who turned into a dragon. Huh. Thatâs.....sad.Â
âI donât know anything about your world,â Obviously, âbut....maybe there is something.â She says with a shrug, before moving closer to him, if only to check that hoof print he noticed. She motions for the male to follow her. For someone so small, she sure does walk fast. âOver here,âÂ
They certainly need to be careful in this mountain. Especially once they get to the peak, speaking of....
âHow far are we going to go up?âÂ
