Darla + Smiling and Laughing
Send ✿ for a happy memory.
If it’s about Iniko herself, a happy memory would be whenever she had the chance of listening to Adina’s stories about herself, the Laveau family and her past. Iniko absolutely adored to spend time with her aunt and to feel her magic within her being while practicing her powers with Adina. After all, her aunt is the reason why she became so powerful and found some perspective in life.
If it’s about the witch within Iniko, I think Misha’s only happy memory are the good time she had back when Adrasteia still existed with the Valientes as its leaders and she shared a goal with those she considered her friends.
valicntcgardncr:
They paused as the words passed from her lips. Whoever it was that Iniko saw was terrifying enough to shake her like this, and Cassidy’s curiosity as to who had that kind of power began to peak despite their efforts to stay out of it.
“Where am I going to take you?” Cass offered carefully, hoping the hallucination wouldn’t break too soon.
“Back. You’ll take me back to that horrible place.” Iniko couldn’t control herself at that moment, she just wanted to walk away from the horrible situation she was in. Of course that in a night like that, she’d be haunted by people who used to be in a coven with Misha. And Misha feared her return to the dead enough to lose control over what was real and what wasn’t. For a long time, all she could see in Cassidy was Castalia.
“Leave me alone. I mean it.”
jae-sungpark:
Her words sent an uncomfortable chill down his spine. It made sense that not everyone would be perturbed by what he was and what he could do if it ever went that route, but hearing Iniko say it so blatantly was enough to feel like he was on edge. “I don’t know.” It wasn’t like other full moons where his hunger was his main, driving focus, but the eclipse was doing something else entirely to him. Jae-Sung just had yet to determine if it would cause him to put others in danger.
As on edge he felt by Iniko’s words, however, something about them did make him believe what she said was true about being able to protect herself. She wasn’t Helena, but that still didn’t make it any better if he did happen to lose control to his blood lust. “Determining whether or not I’ll do something isn’t something I can control. But I do need to get out of these woods.” And find So-Young. Even as the words left his mouth though, he still wondered if leaving meant not finding his father again.
He didn’t know. Misha couldn’t remember vampires being so complex, but, in the end. The witch in the past didn’t care much about them, all she focused on was to get rid off the Bricket Wood coven. And those goals hadn’t changed. She just tried to be a good leader... better than Castalia had ever been. “You’ll find out. Whether it’s alone in the woods, or with me. You’ll only be able to know if you’ll end up hurting or killing someone as you go through the rest of the day.”
Iniko looked around, holding that urge to scoff and nodding in agreement. “You may not have control of yourself, which... I could help you with that if you’d like to. But, I have control over my powers.” She was a Laveau after all, “the invitation is still open. So, just follow me and get inside of the car if you’d like to... or walk away. It’s your choice.” She didn’t want to leave him, be alone on the road while heading back to her car. But she tried to hide her fears as she turned away from him and started making her way back to her car.
constancehwang:
The question shouldn’t have caught her off guard, but it did. Even though she had just asked about Nico and brought up his mother’s death, she couldn’t help but think about her own father’s passing. The other woman was probably right about Nico, but Constance had only been able to give her friend space rather than comfort. Even if he had come to her for it, she wasn’t sure how much of help she could have been. Death was still an uncomfortable subject for her, and of a parent? Well she didn’t think she would have made a good shoulder to cry on without her breaking down either.
“I don’t know,” she murmured before shaking her head. “I mean, I still consider him my friend, and I think that’s enough right now… I guess I just feel like I’ve been a bad friend to him for giving him his space. I should have been there for him.” She frowned slightly, wondering if it was a smart idea to unload any of this onto a woman she didn’t know. Lifting her gaze to fall back on Iniko, she gave her a small smile. “But if he had at least someone to help him through it, that’s better than nothing. I wouldn’t have wanted him to go through something like that alone.”
Nodding in agreement, Iniko felt she didn’t have much to share with the other woman. But, at least, there was something about Constance that made Iniko feel she wasn’t lying about it. That she really cared about Nico. The real Iniko was close to her members, the one she was able to get in touch with before Misha decided to take full control of her. And as much as the real Iniko cared about him, so did Misha. And, maybe, seeing an old friend would be a good thing. “You’ll only know if you’ve been a good or bad friend if you try it. Maybe you’ll take this harshly, but I like to think we all deserve the cold truth sometimes. You’re being coward. Hiding in your own fears instead of trying to save or enjoy your friendship.”
With a light shrug, Iniko kept her eyes on the woman. And once she noticed the smile coming from Constance, she repeated the woman’s action. “He does. He have a group of people who are there for him if you’d like them to be.” She liked to believe Adrasteia was a family, because for the witch within Iniko it had been like that in the past. It was exactly what she wanted people to feel again: the greatness and comfort that Adrasteia could provide.
soyoungparkx:
“That really is a great saying. It always struck a chord with me.” So-Young’s parents always thought her curiosity was a bad thing. And maybe they were right, her curiosity had been known to get her in trouble. Even after all this time from her time as a human. But she had to agree, she would never give up curious behavior. It was a part of who she was and she was unapologetic for it. "Well it isn’t hard to see the town, I think I have that pretty much down. But I guess I don’t know a whole lot about the tensions that are on here. There have been references sure, but no one has flat out told me about it.”
Iniko had her eyes on the woman while she remained silent. It was for the best sometimes to restrain herself from sharing words, though she enjoyed doing so, in order to get information from others, to get to know them, especially when they could be potential members for her own coven. “Some people do like to talk, they enjoy sharing gossips with others whether they are the truth or not. What have you heard around? About the... tensions.”
valicntcgardncr:
The face of their mother quickly shifted to that of Iniko, as if the tone of voice broke the hallucination. Cassidy found themselves face to face with the witch who had displayed a much more relaxed and confident arrogance a few days prior to the eclipse. This witch was not Iniko’s learned disposition, and it began clear she was no exception from the powers of the moon.
Now where they could have taken advantage of this moment, the leader of the Eirene Coven did not. A small whisper of “weakness” ghosted along the shell of their ear as they sighed and took another step forward.
“What you are seeing is not real, Iniko. It’s me.”
While the words reached Iniko, still, right in front of her, she was staring at the woman who used to be the leader of Adrasteia. The one person she didn’t want to become from the moment she was able to take over Iniko’s body. “You’re not real, you’re dead.”
The words left her voice and while the witch wanted to remain tall while staring at Castalia, she was fearing for her life. Afraid that soon, that tone that was coming from the other witch would change and Misha would be taken away from the living world. “Leave me alone. You won’t take me, you won’t hurt me.”
Paolo sighed, feeling the pavement on his naked feet, he wasn’t sure for how long he had been walking or where he actually was, he was following his nose. He was supposed to be hurt, he had felt hurt, but there was nothing in his body burning now, but now he was only naked and a bit lost, hoping that someone would come on the road to give his butt a ride back into the city, he needed to make some emergency calls, right away.
He was sure he could hear a car coming so he covered as much as he could and extended his arm to ask for a ride, hoping that it wouldn’t be the police or he would have a lot of questions to ask and he wasn’t in his best state to lie as good as he always did.
There was this urge of leaving Moon Island, the hallucinations weren’t something Iniko was expecting the moment she drove to the island, trying to understand what the solar eclipse would bring to town. She had been drowning in fear, darkness, uncertain if she should trust her instincts telling her that Castalia and Adina were just hallucinations or if she should merely run away from them, because they could be the ghosts of people that the witch within Iniko had grown up with.
She would try to leave again, to find a better plan, to deal with the consequences of the solar eclipse while she could be sane and in peace in Salem. But her plans were restrained by the presence of someone else on the road. He wasn’t an hallucination because Iniko had never seen him before, and while she wanted to continue and leave him behind. The lack of clothes made her instantly assume he was a werewolf, and how great would it be to have a werewolf inside her coven. Steering the wheel and parking closer to him, she moved out of the car, her eyes staring at him. “You don’t... look okay. Do you need a ride? I have a... blanket on the backseat, you can cover yourself up with it.” And she wouldn’t want it back, ever again.
jae-sungpark:
“What? No. No I was just…” Jae-Sung tried to hold back his confusion at the question, but he had to have looked frazzled if not disoriented with the way he spoke. All he did know was that he didn’t want to finish his sentence. He didn’t need anyone else to know that he was looking for his father, or that his past and all his shortcomings were coming back to haunt him. It sounded too ridiculous to be mentioned aloud. He could only hope that Iniko would drop the subject and not question him further.
He was at a loss for what to do now. Continue searching? Look for his sister? Cover his bases before he did something stupid? Nothing felt like the right answer, but doing nothing also meant being in the middle of the woods until everything settled. And even that sounded like a dangerous situation to be in for himself.
Did he want help? He wasn’t sure. The island was still dark, the moon still out. Going back to town wasn’t where he needed to be, but he also didn’t know where So-Young was now. For all he knew she had gone back into town to look for him. “I don’t know if that’s a good idea. I don’t usually stay in town when there’s a chance I can be dangerous for others.”
She waited for an answer, but what he was able to give to her wasn’t exactly what she was looking for. There was this part of herself that could care less about whatever he was doing. And if he tried to hurt her, she could hurt him back. He wasn’t someone who was part of a coven, killing him wouldn’t bring problems, so she felt safe. At least, safer than being around dead witches that could possible take Misha back to the dead.
“Nothing is a good idea past this point. Clearly this town is going through something... strange.” She stopped for a second, her dark eyes studying Jae-Sung, while she offered him a light shrug. “Do you think you’ll end up going through a killing spree? And then, watching all of your victims lying on the ground? Because if so, then yes... maybe it isn’t wise to stay in town, at least, not for you and leaving Moon Island would be wiser, if you can... of course. But if you’re just worried about me, you don’t need to. I could hurt you before you'd even think about hurting me and then, the moment you could heal... I wouldn’t be around you anymore. So, you don’t need to worry about me. I’m stronger than you assume I am. Besides, I have a whole coven on my side. So, you should try to control yourself.”
She wasn’t threatning him, but if he needed reasons why he could be around her, she’d give them. Possibly not in the best way she could deliver them to the vampire, but it was what she could offer at this point. While her heart was still racing and her mind was trying to forget about the potential danger she could go through if Adina appeared again.

The moment her eyes opened that morning, they weren’t welcome by the sunlight. The moon was still bright and out there and so was the dark night. It was nature’s own way of letting everyone know what whatever it had planned, it would still happen for awhile, and it only gave Iniko uncertainty of whether it was wiser to get out of her hotel room, or if the safest choice was to stay in. A choice she had made the night before, after her encounter with Jae-Sung had ended. Despite the loneliness that could be felt by being by herself in that room. It seemed to be better. At least, It felt better while she casted a spell on herself to fall asleep, forbidding herself from being haunted by the presence of Adina Laveau.
But now, that she was awake and knowing that she couldn’t keep herself asleep for a long time, Iniko knew she’d have to be out there at some point. The witch was now staring at her own reflection at the mirror, getting ready for what could be a long day. Washing her face to wake herself up, only to see that the moment she moved up, her reflection wasn’t there. But Adina’s, and she wasn’t alone this time.
“Castalia.” Iniko murmured, fear once again rising within her body, while she shared a few words, breaking the glass in front of her. She could pay for that later. Rushing out of the bathroom, and grabbing the first pair of clothes she could find. Iniko had to get away from her room. Again, she was running away from spirits that could track her. And knowing that Adina wasn’t alone this time, it meant that Iniko’s aunt would do anything to get Misha back to the dead. Anything.
With quick steps, she reached the dfront door. The fresh air did not make her feel any better, and anywhere she would look at, it seemed she was still seeing them. In every stranger's face, in every corner. Iniko felt that she was losing her mind, she just wanted them to leave her alone. Misha knew she couldn't go back. She shouldn't.
Crossing the street, Iniko only reached closer to the enemy. Castalia was right in front of her, and this time she didn’t disappear, like Iniko wanted her to. At least, Adina wasn’t there. “Go away, leave me alone.” Iniko said, with a harsh tone.
@inikolaveau
He was chasing a voice. He hadn’t paid attention to the paths and trees he had passed as he followed that single voice, but it was the only thing that had lead him away from So-Young. As much as he wanted it all to stop before, once it had disappeared, Jae-Sung had gone looking. The image of his father was trapped in his mind, his words still a fresh wound, but Jae-Sung hadn’t been able to let it go. Even if it was all a trick of his mind, the disappointment he had seen in his father’s eyes had been enough to throw all rationality out the window.
Jae-Sung had told So-Young that he hadn’t thought that much about their family since he had been turned, but now it was all he could think about. After all this time, there was still a part of him that wanted nothing more than to have made sure he had made his family proud, but more importantly, his father, and he was still failing at that.
You’re not my son. This thing you’ve become… No... You’re a monster.
His head swung towards the sound. It was barely above a whisper, but it was impossible not to hear it. “Father,” he called out in his native tongue. He moved towards the sound, but instead of finding his father, he was met with the sounds of footsteps. His thoughts propelled him to conclusions of finally finding him, but as he passed through a clearing, Jae-Sung came face to face with a woman.
“Iniko.” It wasn’t a greeting, but more of him reconciling the fact that this was in fact not the man he had been chasing after. For some reason it unnerved him to see someone real after chasing the ghost of his father. He had momentarily forgotten about the world that still existed out of the ordeal he had been faced with. Shaking off the uneasiness he felt as best as he could, he spoke. “I didn’t expect to see anyone here.”
Her heart was pounding inside of her chest, while she tried her best to keep up her pace while walking away from a spirit that could easily track her. It was pointless to run, it was pointless to stand still. In the end, Iniko couldn’t run away from Adina. She would find her anywhere in town or outside of it. And with that she stopped. Catching her breath wasn’t an easy task, but she needed it back in order to call someone she knew, anyone from her coven to meet her in the midst of the road. Maybe the company of someone else would stop Adina from acting, from trying to take Misha back to the world of dead.
Absorbed in her own thoughts, in the fears that were consuming her mind and feeding her paranoias., it took Iniko awhile to finally notice someone else’s presence. There was a sigh of relief coming from the witch who was now changing her demeanor when the vampire was now her new company. It was inevitable of her to find a way to remain, in the eyes of anyone around her, as the powerful and brave witch she was and should look like. “Trying to find our way our of town?”
It was easier to take the spotlight far from her situation. How could she explain that she was running away from the dead? That it wasn’t Iniko who was talking to him, but a witch who shouldn’t be living inside of that body. None of that information should be shared, no one should know about it. “I also wasn’t expecting anyone to be here, but this day has been full of surprises. Do you need some help? Maybe it would be safer to get back to town. My car is... close.”
She wasn’t the kind of person that would be altruist, especially when they weren’t allied to her, then her life would always be far more important than of a stranger. But Iniko had to try to pretend she was caring about his well being, that her attention was on him so she could ignore the fact that while words could make them gather in a conversation, Iniko could see Adina. Even if the spirit was far from where they were standing, she would recognize Adina Laveau everywhere she went to. It wasn’t wise to hope Jae-Sung’s presence would keep her far and she’d feel protected, but it was a start. And, for now, it was working.

The news had reached her through a phone call. Moon Island was dark from the moment the solar eclipse occured, and it never returned to light. The only light came from the moon, standing tall right above them as a guest to enjoy the spectacle that would possibly happen in Moon Island. After all, Iniko knew that those changes would always mean something else in the island, there were always consequences coming from the acts of nature. And even if she could stay far away from it, in her own town, her curiosity was bigger than her fears.
It was safer to stay in Salem, and perhaps it was reckless to decide to head to the island when she knew that bad happenings would definitely occur in the little town of Moon Island. Yet, she was there, inside of her car, on her way to the island with the radio on some random station just to fill the car with music instead of the haunting silence.
Moving across the bridge that linked the rest of Massachussets with Moon Island, the moment her car passed by the welcome sign of the small town, everything had changed. The sky was no longer light, with a bright shining sun on top of them. She could finally experience what was told to her about what was happening and there was definitely something different in the atmosphere. She couldn’t know exactly what, but she could definitely feel it. It would’ve been great if the solar eclipse was the only situation she’d gave to go through, but without a warning, she heard a voice she was expecting to get to her while she was driving in a road where she was the only going through.
The soothing voice that she knew so well. Not only a familiar voice to Iniko but, also, to the witch inside of her. It didn’t matter how many years would pass by, there’s nothing as memorable as a Laveau’s voice and their power.
It was one of the prices the witch had to pay for possessing a Laveau. Their spirituality, making Iniko vulnerable to what happened across the veil. It was against the rules to contact the dead. Misha knew that. Iniko knew that. But, despite the consequences. Here she was. For reasons that Iniko and Misha couldn’t understand, Adina had decided to pay a visit, crossing the veil for a family meeting.
Misha. I see you. You may be hiding inside of my niece but I see you.
The pace of her heart increased. Her eyes searched for Iniko, constantly looking from one side to the other, ignoring everything else but her goal of finding Adina. “Where are you, Adina? Where’s your little auntie, Iniko?” The witch in control of Iniko tried to remain brave, with a smirk on her lips while fear was making her blood pump faster. And the moment Iniko looked to the front, she was forced to hit the breaks when she saw Adina standing there, right in front of the road.
The painful hit of her head against the steering wheel made Iniko instantly reach for that spot while she opened the door to leave her car. The anger was building inside of herself, staying inside of the car was no longer an option that Iniko wanted to accept. And instead of finding a way to defend herself, Iniko waited until Adina would show herself again. “Where are you?” She screamed, her hands turned into fists while her nails marked her own skin with them.
Do you think you can control her and there wouldn’t be consequences for you, Misha? Do you really think I’d allow you to be Iniko when you’ve always been a failure when you were alive? I wish things were different. But I have to bring you back. They asked for you.
In a matter of seconds, there was no need to look for the witch anymore. Adina was right in front of Iniko, making her way closer. Adina didn’t move closer to physically hurt Iniko, after all she would hurt her niece as well. But the words being enchanted by Adina made Misha’s fear grew. “No, no.” It was the first time she was ready to beg to stay inside of Iniko so shecould help the Adrasteia coven, so they could win thiswar and after that she’d leave Iniko’s body. But all of that was a lie. She had no intentions of giving Iniko peace. She was only waiting for the moment Iniko would no longer have strength to fight back and Misha would be the only one inside of that body.
Goodbye, Misha.
Her connection to Iniko felt like it was being held by a string, and now she was losing control of that weal connection. Inside of Iniko's body, Misha couldn't notice that all of that, the pain, the feeling that she would no longer possess Iniko was only happening inside of her mind. The solar eclipse was playing tricks that she couldn't understand, making her suffer her most cruel nightmare, the loss of a plan she had fought for. “Stop,” Iniko screamed, closing her eyes for a second only to know that once she opened them again. Adina wasn’t there anymore. “Fuck.”
Leaving her car behind she ran forward, she needed help. She needed one of her allies. Anyone that could protect her from the imminent danger. But what if they knew? What if they finally knew that the person who’s been leading them had never been Iniko herself? “Leave me alone.”

One of the good things that would follow along that time of the year was the fact that the Sirens would be open by the shore, but it was strange to say the least, that the owener of Sirens would decide to keep the bar open when there was clearly something off happening in the small town.
That bad had been a place in Moon Island, that surprisingly, would be able to cause the witch within Iniko to feel relaxed, to take her away from the worries that would haunt Iniko’s mind about the war, about the following actions, who should they hurt, what else they could do to prepared for whatever was to come. If it wasn’t for the fact that her mind was being haunted by images of Castalia and Adina, and that she was still debating whether she was losing her mind or if they were indeed in the living world, going against the rules and crossing the veil, Misha would be able to enjoy her time at the bar while the moon would shine bright out there.
Unable to run away from her own ghosts. Iniko knew she had to find a way to occupy her mind while her vision wasn’t focusing on her past friends from the witch inside her body. For one night, while away from Salem, Iniko would try to pretend she could enjoy the weather and a drink while sitting at the table on top of their deck giving her the chance of appreciating the view. It felt unusual. And the uneasiness within herself made her feel that it was time to go. You’ll never be a good leader like I used to be, Misha. The words reached Iniko. Which made the witch instantly get up and put a stop at her time inside of Sirens. She should know by now that the calming feeling would somehow bring her back to reality and, Iniko would, eventually, be consumed by her constant paranoia. One that now had a reasoning behind.
Leaving the bar behind, Iniko grabbed her shoes, taking them off to have a short walk by the beach, to feel the sand against her feet and to try, her best to keep herself positive; something that hardly happened within herself. She had to ignore the dead. If they wanted to take her back across the veil. They would’ve done it by now, right? Hopefully, yes.
She wanted peace, and during those days in Moon Island, she wouldn’t have it In a situation like hers, as the leader of a coven who wanted to take control of a small island such as Moon Island, peace of mind wasn’t an option. And when she was being haunted by the constant presence of Adina and Castalia, the son of Castalia would play his part. Leon Valiente-Gardner. Of course, she wouldn’t cross paths with an ordinary person that lived in that town. It had to be one of the Valiente-Gardners. She tried a smile, and she tried her best to continue focused on a fake sense of serenity once she stopped to talk to him. “Seems like we’ll always meet each other when we least expect it to happen. Last time we were hear, you didn’t like some of the things I had to say. Maybe you should walk away while you have time to do so.”
through pain; iniko + jasper
@jasper--king
While it seemed that the atmosphere in Moon Island had been calm the past few days, she knew that she shouldn’t get comfortable with it. Iniko continued her plans, trying to come up with something that would be useful in the near future, anything that could lead her to the position of power, being the one who would become the head priestess of every witch in the island. A war could start at any point, if they were strong enough, Iniko could be the one who would make the first move. It was a matter of being prepared, and knowing that there was a chance things wouldn’t go as planned. And, because of it, Iniko knew that she had to make the members of her coven stronger.
And that particular day, her target was Jasper King. He knew the consequences of her plan and so did she, once he accepted her idea, all they needed was a day and a time, and after the full moon, when nothing truly happened to the supernatural beings in town, Iniko knew that it was the right time. After all, it could also mean that there was a storm coming. Practicing by herself a night before, meditating, asking for guidance. Nothing could go wrong. It wasn’t just a matter of inflicting pain and making him gain control through it, he needed to want that for himself just as much as Iniko wanted him to have control over his hunger. Even if this wasn’t the best way to learn that, it was the way she was providing. Luckily, he’d manage to get control and she wouldn’t get hurt in the process.
Opening the door to the old house she used to live with her aunt, Iniko invited the vampire in, closing the door once he was inside. “I hope you haven’t changed your mind about our plans, because I look forward to seeing you succeed and gaining control over who you are now.” She replied, with a positive tone while sharing a smile. She wasn’t lying, there was no reason why she should. Jasper was a better ally than she thought he would be, and with that, she felt she could give him something in return. “We’ll just follow through this corridor until the basement and we’ll be locked in there until you feel you can control it. If you’d like to do this more than once, we could. If you feel you could be strong enough to try this during a next full moon, I could find a way to make it happen. Just know that I’m here for you.”
soyoungparkx:
“Oh I have no doubt you will meet expectations. They aren’t unreachable for anyone.” She smiled, but So-Young had to admit to herself that her curiosity was piqued. She was always curious about learning more about Moon Island and she wondered if she finally found someone who would be willing to share some information about it. Her fingers trailed the items in front of her, trying to take one last look when her eyes shot back up to Iniko. It was like she was saying exactly what So-Young was thinking. She grinned and nodded. “I definitely agree, though people used to tell me I could be a bit too curious for my own good.” With a small shrug she moved to follow Iniko. “Sure! I’m up for an adventure!”
“There’s no such thing as being too curious. Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.” She replied with a playful tone, one that was rarely coming out of Iniko’s mouth. There was a high chance that once her little encounter with So-Young was over, she’d have to take her frustrations of being too kind to a stranger on someone... or something. But, deep down, there was something humorous about that sentence. The witch inside Iniko’s body had indeed been brought back to the the world of living and she had always been a curious person. “Is there something you haven’t seen in this town before or some history you haven’t yet heard about? We can choose our next stop through your answer, or just reach the closest coffee shop for a talk.” The sacrifices she’d go through in order to get more allies inside her coven was beyond Iniko’s control.
constancehwang:
“It’s nice to officially meet you as well.” Constance smiled politely. She still had her doubts, if only because of the side she knew Nico had chosen, but maybe she was worrying for nothing. It wasn’t as if she was in the know when it came to her friend’s life as of late, and if he was all right with this woman then Constance could be too. It wasn’t as if she had done anything to be of any real interest anyway. All the town knew was that she was some human that moved in as a teenager, nothing more nothing less.
The question about Nico made her smile but feel saddened all at once. “Yes. At least I hope we still are. I haven’t really spoken to him since his mom passed away.” She shook her head slightly. It would probably be easier just asking Nico himself, but she had wanted to give him his space. “I guess that’s why I even brought him up. I wanted to know how he was doing.”
“It’s never easy when we lose family, is it?” Iniko knew that because she had suffered the loss of her aunt, the only family she had before she brought the coven back. And while Misha was now in control of Iniko’s body, the witch knew of that loss and ‘respected’ Iniko’s pain about it. The same thing happened to Nico. She knew, she was around him. “Maybe he’d like to see you again, if you were friends.”
Iniko wasn’t sure yet if Constance was the kind of person that would be a good ally. But, for now, she was giving her the benefit of doubt. “I could say that he’s better or that he’s worst. Everyone has their good days and their bad days. I think that the best person to give you that answer would be him. Nico’s the only one who knows what happens inside of his mind and if his heart is still aching.” Even if Iniko could have an idea of how he felt, it seemed wrong to talk in his behalf. “But I’m glad he has people that care about him. It shows you have a good character. Are you... afraid of talking to him? Because you might not be friends anymore.”
