I’ve wanted to paint the scene where Jacks and Evangeline meet cursed Apollo in the gardens of Wolf Hall since I finished the book. I put it off for a long time because there were so many things outside my comfort zone that I wanted to try - a different type of lighting, perspective, backgrounds, animal anatomy (how do horses even work?! 🫣). There’s a ton of things I need to improve on, but I’m pretty happy with how it came out.
