When Kurt said heâd be the only one that get it, Blaine let out a small noise of agreement âExactly what I was thinking when I called you. Donât get me wrong, I can stand up for myself usually, and Iâve had to throw the occasional punch here and there while weâve been on the road when someone makes a comment about me, or anyone, being gay, but itâs different when itâs your family. It hits you in such a different way. I canât say I donât care what strangers think, because thatâs actually something we have to think about as part of our jobs, but if people donât like you, itâs easier to not take it to heart youâre just like âoh okayâ, but âŠâ Blaine shook his head âItâs stupid⊠I donât know why they invited me over. Did they suddenly think I was straight now? Or that iâd changed? They had to have known that I would have⊠I dunno, gotten gayer since the last time they saw me?â Blaine shook his head at the words, giving a little laugh.Â
âI think Iâm okay to drive nowâ Blaine breathed, nodding a little even though Kurt couldnât see him. He wasnât okay, but the distraction of Kurt talking meant he was able to calm down a little. He wasnât crying anymore, which was good.
âI want to see you tooâ Blaine breathed out, a small smile on his face once he said the words.
He was crushing hard. He knew it. He also didnât care. He was a little nervous to be going to Kurtâs house though. It was a little early to be doing the home visits. Especially right now when he really didnât feel like himself.
As if Kurt could read his mind, a text message came through with the others address. Blaine reached out to tap it, letting his GPS take over and start to reroute his trip. He wasnât too far from Kurtâs place, about 45 minutes out, and he was coming up to the right turn off.Â
A part of him thought about declining the offer. It was ridiculous to go to Kurtâs home right now. He didnât know Kurt, and he certainly wasnât in the right frame of mind for it. Would Kurt be expecting something from him? He wasnât sure he would be up for anything like that. He hadnât even had enough time to even social media stalk the guy, which he had planned on doing while he was travelling back home. He didnât even think anything badly about it. He just⊠wanted to know who Kurt was.Â
âHang on a sec, yeah?â Blaine said as he got himself organized while he was driving, making sure that he knew where he was going. He hadnât meant to interrupt Kurt talking, but he didnât want to miss anything the other was saying.
Blaine had to tell himself that wasnât the case. Kurt did genuinely seem like he wanted to spend time with Blaine, but they really hadnât been in a setting that wasnât before or after sex or hooking up. Would they even get along?Â
Blaine laughed when the GPS started saying names of towns incorrectly, then prompted Kurt to keep talking, explaining what he was doing.Â
âNo, I love them! Sometimes I sneeze when Iâm near animals, and you know how much they love thatâŠâ Blaine paused to laugh âbut thatâs usually when I already have an allergy flare up unrelated to animals and then inhale some, you know, dog hair or something, but usually Iâm good. My best friend has dogs, which means that 90% of the time theyâre at my placeâ Blaine chuckled, shaking his head âand you totally needed to know all of thatâ Blaine groaned.
âYeah, I can understand that,â Kurt said that the homophobia was worse when it came from your family, âTheyâre the people who are supposed to love you no matter what, after all.â It wasnât something Kurt had to deal with - not really, anyway. His father was incredibly supportive of Kurt, and while he would make mistakes from time to time, Kurt knew that his dad would have his back. But there was a time where their relationship was strained. Back when his dad was still dating Carole, Kurt knew that Finn was the son he wanted all along, and every day Kurt felt like he was going to lose his father to the overly tall football player. It wasnât until his father defended him when Finn insulted him that Kurt realised that his dad had his back all along.
However, those days when Kurt felt like he was losing his dad to Finn were still clear in his mind. And it was his sexuality and interests that were causing that rift. So to the smallest degree, Kurt knew how Blaine felt. The bassist just obviously had it far worse than Kurt ever did.
Kurt managed a weak laugh and shook his head, âYour parents are assholes, Blaine. You deserve better than that.â
It was hard to not to swoon at Blaine saying he wanted to see him, too. Of course, the older boy did - why else would Blaine be calling him? It didnât necessarily mean Blaine was planning on Kurt inviting him over, but knowing that he was on Blaineâs mind made Kurtâs heart skip a few beats.
It was like he wasnât the only one who was already starting to develop a crush. Kurt knew it was way too soon, but there was something about Blaine what was pulling Kurt in, and it was taking all of his strength to not bring those walls down. As nice as Blaine seemed to be, Kurt knew it would be stupid to trust him completely. Heâd been screwed over before - Kurt wasnât going to let it happen again just because a guy was nice to him and the sex was good.
âŠBut part of Kurt wanted to see if Blaine was worth bringing those walls down.
âReally? Because that sounds like youâre allergic, Blaine,â Kurt chuckled softly, âBut if your friend has them, and if the worst that happens is just you sneezing, you should be fine.â
Hearing the sounds of Blaineâs GPS butchering the street and town names, Kurtâs eyes widened. So Blaine actually was coming here? Kurt knew now heâd need to get the house sorted.
And by âget the house sortedâ Kurt meant 'hide all his embarrassing photos his dad insisted on having around the house and shove them into his dadâs room so Blaine wonât laugh at them the second he saw themâ.
âOh, donât be silly, Blaine,â Kurt rolled his eyes, âI donât mind. I want to know more about you.â
Kurt kept talking to Blaine, hoping that even though they were talking about nothing significant, that it was helping Blaine keep his mind off things. The last thing he needed was for Blaine to think he was irritating or over overbearing when the only thing Blaine wanted was to actually relax.
Blaineâs timing was near perfect; as soon as Kurt put the last old photo in his dadâs room. Kurt let out a small, shaky breath, and once he made sure he didnât look *too* dishevelled in his dadâs mirror, he ran downstairs to greet Blaine.
As soon as he opened the door, Kurt smiled at the sight of Blaine, âHey,â he said, leaning over to hug the other tightly, âYou doing okay?â
It wasnât until Blaine had parked the car and gotten out before he realised that he was still dressed up from dinner. He knew Kurt had already seen him earlier, but he hadnât had to experience the full judgemental eyes. He hoped Kurt wouldnât be turned off his appearance now. He didnât really dress like this anymore. This was the old Blaine. New Blaine on a day to day liked to be more... casual.Â
Heâd rolled his sleeves up while heâd been driving, and his top few buttons were undone as well since he felt as though he couldnât breathe the more worked up he got.Â
Tonight had been rough, and now, his stomach was doing flips at how nervous he was.Â
Blaine glanced at the home in front of him, giving a small smile. It was a nice place. It just had a nice vibe to it. It was welcoming, which in that moment, was all Blaine needed. He just needed someone safe to be. He was so far away from everything that was safe to him right now. He approached and knocked softly, glancing down at the time and then either side of him, hoping not to wake any neighbours or anything of the sort.Â
Truthfully, Blaine wasnât sure what to do. Did he kiss Kurt? Hug him? Wave a hand? He wasnât sure what they were. Friends? Friends with benefits?
Blaine was glad that Kurt had leaned over and hugged him immediately. His shoulders were stiff at first, but as soon as he felt Kurtâs arms lock around him, Blaine relaxed, his body practically melting against the other.Â
âHeyâ Blaine said softly, bringing his hands up to rest on Kurtâs back. His face practically buried itself into the crook of Kurtâs neck. He stayed like that for a few seconds before eventually letting go and ending the hug.Â
âYeah. Iâm okayâ Blaine gave a little sigh âI donât know if iâm just annoyed at them or myself or ---âÂ
Before Blaine could finish he heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs and suddenly there was a dog forcing them apart by pushing himself between the two of them. Blaine laughed and took a step back, glancing down. He hadnât even realized there was a smaller dog beside Kurt this entire time, just watching like an old judgemental man, and now joined by a bigger dog, the one Blaine had seen with the easter bunny ears, sitting between Kurt and Blaine, tail wagging from either side so hard it was bashing against the floor.
âHello!â Blaine grinned as he looked down at the happy face before presenting his palm. Which was promptly licked. That was all the warning Blaine needed to start petting the dog. He was instantly on his feet, going completely wild to be receiving pats before throwing itself on his back, demanding belly rubs. Blaine squatted down, giving a laugh as he scratched the dogs stomach before looking up at Kurt âWhat are their names?âÂ

Kurt laughed weakly when Blaine said he didnât know where he was, âWell, I wonât be going to sleep for a while so I can wait up for you. I donât mind.â Kurt was silent as he listened to the noises coming from Blaine like the other was trying to calm himself down. Kurt didnât know what to say right now. Despite being a writer - even if it was for a school paper - Kurt wasnât the best with words. He didnât know what he was supposed to be saying right now. Kurt always felt like he was better at comforting in person. Whether it was with a hug or even just being there for the person to unwind, it wasnât the same over the phone.
âBlaine,â Kurt laughed, shaking his head âI wouldnât say it if I wasnât sure. It might come as a surprise, but I donât go around inviting guys Iâve only met twice to my house if I wasnât sure about it.â
What Blaine said next took Kurt by surprise. He was silent for a few moments, before finally saying â⊠you do?â It confused Kurt. Most guys didnât comment on his voice. If they did, they would just make some lame-ass comment about how he sounded like a girl.
They certainly didnât say they wanted to hear it.
Kurt nodded in understanding as he listened to Blaine. It was something he was all too familiar with. While the other Skanks were there for him when Karofskyâs abuse was getting worse, they didnât really know how to help whenever Kurt did have to deal with any kind of homophobia. Kurt mostly shook it off these days, but there were times when it would get under his skin. And their solution was almost always, âGet drunk. Smoke some weed. Hook up with a guy. Do all three.â and it wasnât what he needed. Kurt needed to have someone to talk to, but finding someone who understood what it was like to deal with homophobia and finding a person who wanted to listen to Kurt complain about it was incredibly rare.
âYeah, I know what you mean,â Kurt let out a small sigh, âYouâre the only person I know that Iâd want to talk to about this. You actually seem to get it.â Kurt smiled as it seemed like Blaine had finally calmed down slightly, âAre you feeling okay enough to drive now? I donât like the idea of you just driving around on your own. I⊠I want to see you.â
Kurt tried to not groan at himself - Â he must have sounded so needy and clingy right now! Hearing a small âmeowâ, Kurt glanced down at Fiyero who was on his lap and not at all happy that Kurtâs attention wasnât on him. Kurt smiled and scratched the catâs ears when he thought of something that would hopefully distract Blaine from what he just said.
âOh, youâre not allergic to animals, right?â He asked. Blaine knew about Alexander since he saw his lock screen, but Kurt figured heâd ask anyway. Just in case Blaine forgot, âIâve got two dogs and a cat. I donât want you going into an anaphylactic shock if you come down here. Itâs bad enough you had to deal with your asshole parents. You donât need me nearly killing you on top of it.â
Kurt didnât understand why Blaine was phoning him. Did he not have his band members to talk to? Kurt didnât mind that Blaine was talking to him when he was this upset, but Kurt didnât know what he could do. As much as he liked to pretend, Kurt was far from a guy who had everything together. He was barely keeping everything together most days.
But he couldnât really blame Blaine for thinking that. Kurt had only let Blaine see what he wanted him to see. If Blaine knew that anxiety ran his life, then Kurt highly doubted that Blaine would even want to talk to him, never mind come to him for advice or to just talk to when heâs upset.
âItâs fine, Blaine. As long as youâre not calling at like, four in the morning, you can call me any time,â Kurt said, chuckling softly as he shifted on his bed. Kurt didnât say anything as Blaine spoke and just listened to Blaine. He wasnât sure what to say, but Blaine seemed like he needed someone to talk to, and while Kurt was bad at the whole âcomforting othersâ thing, he could listen.
Even though all he wanted to do right now was hug Blaine.
âBlaineâŠâ Kurt trailed off as Blaine started to talk about his parents. Kurt didnât know all the details, but Kurt knew enough that Blaine didnât have the best relationship with his parents.
Blaine started to cry again - Kurt knew Blaine was trying to hide it, but Kurt could hear the telltale signs. He was the same - Kurt couldnât count the number of times heâd try to hide the fact he was crying.
âBlaine, Iâm going to text you my address,â Kurt said after a while, âI donât want you to be on your own when youâre feeling like this. Iâve got the house to myself for the night, so you can stay the night⊠okay?â
Blaine knew clearly when the last time heâd broken down like this, and it was no surprise it was straight after heâd been dumped by not only his ex, by his parents. Heâd long thought that part of him was gone, that heâd spent all this time rebuilding himself to the strong man he was now.Â
And yet, all it took was one evening for the illusion to come crumbling down.Â
As Blaine spoke, he got more irritated at himself. Why did he call Kurt? Did he really want to ruin this thing they had so quickly. Kurt was going to think he was insane now. That he was some crying bitch who called to have a sook on the phone when he couldnât handle life.Â
That wasnât the Blaine that Kurt had wanted to sleep with.Â
âKurt, I canât...â Blaine tried to interrupt Kurt, but Kurt continued to speak âI donât even know where I amâ he gave a weak laugh, looking around, then down at his cars navigator, wiping his eyes a little, and making a few awkward noises as he tried to regain composureÂ
âAre you sure? I didnât mean to completely unload on you then, I honestly just... I wanted to hear your voice againâ Blaine chewed his lip as he kept driving along the road âMy friends would all call me an idiot for even going to see my parents, and the others just donât take things seriously. Theyâd probably say something like âfind a bar and get drunkâ. I just... I think itâs hard for people to understand what itâs like to be completely rejected just because of who you choose to love if they never grew up in that environment. Us Ohio gays are a different breed on of our ownâ Blaine let out a small laugh again, finding himself calming down just a little bit. Â

tattooedporcelainâ:
Leaving Blaine was much harder than Kurt expected. When it came to hookups, Kurt normally had no problem leaving. More often than not, heâd be gone before the other guy woke up. He would stay if it was a guy he clicked with, but it would be easy to leave. Especially if he had the other guyâs number.
But with Blaine, Kurt just wanted to take off with him. Kurt knew Blaine wasnât going to New York yet - he mentioned the night before that he would be in Ohio for a few more days. But still. Kurt wanted to see Blaineâs Ohio, and he had no idea why.
Why was he already getting so attached to Blaine?
His dad still hadnât returned when he came home, but thankfully, Carole was still there so his pets were still being looked after. So, after sending an âIâm home safe,â text to Blaine, Kurt didnât waste any time in running inside.
âCarole,â Kurt called out, and headed into the kitchen as best as he could with both his dogs running at him and demanding pets when he heard someone move in there. Kurt picked up Bark Jacobs, and Alexander followed closely behind. Â The older woman was standing against one of the counters, drinking coffee. âIâm so sorry. Me and my friend ended up staying out longer than I thought, and I crashed at their place. I meant to text. It totally slipped my mind.â
âItâs fine, Kurt. I guessed thatâs what happened and Finn stayed over at Samâs, so I stayed here.â
Kurt grimaced and shook his head, âSorry⊠You know that you didnât need to do that, right?â
âI know. But Finn said itâs been a while since youâve been out with anyone. So I donât mind looking after your pets while you and your dad arenât home. Just let me know next time if youâre going to be running late. Anything couldâve happened to you. Your dad wouldâve had a meltdown if he came home, and neither of us knew where you were.â
Caroleâs tone was kind, but the look she was giving him made Kurt feel incredibly guilty. It was a look she gave Finn a lot, and it was the trademark âI know you can do better than thisâ look sheâd give him.
So Kurt just nodded and gave a small 'okayâ.
Caroleâs face softened and smiled at Kurt as she asked, âSo, what did you do last night?â
Kurt told Carole about the concert. He didnât give too many details - Kurt didnât mention that Blaine was the bassist of one of the groups heâd seen and that Blaine gave him a meet and greet ticket and all access for free since he knew that Carole would just panic and think Blaine was some creepy old guy taking advantage. Even though Blaine was only two years older.
They talked for a while about the concert, and about Blaine, before she tilted her head slightly.
âDo you like him?â
Kurt shrugged at her question, âYeah. Heâs a nice guy, and he actually knows what itâs like to be gay in Ohio. So thereâs a lot we can talk about.â
âIs he your boyfriend?â
Kurt choked on his own breath, his cheeks instantly turned red, and shook his head, âN-no! No⊠Itâs not like that. Weâve not known each other that long⊠Weâre just friends. Thatâs all.â
Carole didnât believe him. Kurt could tell by the smile on her face. He couldnât stop himself from letting out a small off of annoyance. But thankfully, Carole talked about the latest episode of Greyâs Anatomy and the awkwardness from before faded away.
They spent a few hours, just talking, when Caroleâs phone buzzed.
âSorry, Kurt. I have to go. Finnâs wondering where his dinner is,â Carole chuckled softly and shook her head, âWill you be okay on your own? You can come down with the dogs if you like?â
âNo, itâs fine. I think Iâm better spending time with them for a while. Besides. Fiyero will just get grumpy if I leave him totally alone,â Kurt chuckled. He knew that right now, his cat was sulking on his head that Kurt had the audacity to leave him for more than twenty-four hours. If Kurt left again, with the dogs, he was sure the feline would pretend he didnât exist for a few hours after coming home.
Carole just nodded, and as she moved forward, Kurt placed Bark Jacobs on the floor and opened his arms in anticipation for the hug he knew Carole would give him.
âThanks again,â Kurt smiled, as he stepped back, âIâll need to make you dinner one night. To actually thank you,â
Carole just laughed and waved her hand dismissively as she headed towards the door, âYou donât need to do that, Kurt.â
âAnd you didnât need to stay overnight, but you still did,â Kurt replied instantly, as he followed her. âSo Iâm making you dinner.â
Carole laughed again and opened the front door, âJust make sure itâs something Finn will eat. Heâll complain if he doesnât get any food.â
âOf course,â Kurt rolled his eyes - he didnât really expect much more from his almost step-brother. âIâll see you later, Carole.â
âGoodbye, Kurt,â
And with that, Kurt was alone again.
Kurt sighed and headed upstairs. He checked his phone as he walked, and frowned when he didnât see any texts from Blaine - maybe Blaine just forgot to reply - and saw a voicemail from his dad he must have received while driving. He opened the voicemail, and held the phone to his ear:
âHey, Kurt. I know youâre probably out with the dogs or youâve fallen asleep, but I just want to let you know I donât think Iâll make it home tonight. The rainâs coming down heavy here and all the flights got cancelled. Iâll get the first plane home so Iâll be there tomorrow. Donât worry about me, just make sure you get something to eat and that you actually sleep. Iâll see you later. Love you.â
Kurt gave a small smile, as he hit the button to save the voicemail. He couldnât help but feel disappointed. While Kurt wasnât about to tell his father about Blaine since it would just lead to his father giving him 'The Talkâ again, Kurt did miss his father. It felt like it had been forever since they last saw each other.
And Blaine wasnât replying to his texts, so Kurt just felt even more alone.
He tried to tell himself that Blaine was just busy. He was probably with his band. But Kurt couldnât help but think he did something wrong.
Kurt tried to distract himself as he headed into his bathroom. He showered, making sure to take his time, and did his face care routine before getting into a clean pair of pyjamas. Kurt was about to just climb into his bed before he remembered his fatherâs message - 'Make sure you get something to eatâ. So he ran downstairs, and grabbed a couple of snacks and some water - it wasnât exactly what his dad meant, but Kurt knew it was better than nothing before he ran back upstairs. His dogs, excited by the movement, ran after him.
Kurt grabbed his laptop from his desk, and he smirked as he saw Fiyero sitting on his bed with a glare on his face. Just as he expected.
âDonât give me that look. You know I donât go out that much,â He laughed, scratching the catâs ears just before Alexander and Bark Jacobs jumped onto the bed with him.
Kurt manoeuvred his laptop and snacks around his animals and placed his phone next to him. Once they were all comfortable, Kurt opened his laptop and set up Netflix. He browsed for a few moments, before deciding to just binge the John Mulaney specials.
Again.
Kurt was watching and laughing along with the J.J Bittenbinder segment when his phone rang. Kurt scowled a little at the noise before his face softened, seeing it was Blaine. He quickly paused the video and answered the phone.
âHello?â Kurt was a little confused about why Blaine was phoning, but Kurt couldnât complain he was just happy to hear Blaineâs voice.
âItâs fine, I guessed you were just busy,â Kurt laughed, trying to hide that only half an hour ago, Kurt was trying to stop himself from totally freaking out about Blaine not answering his phone âIâm not really doing anything. Iâm just watching Netflix.â
Kurt frowned a little as he listened to Blaine. He could swear he heard Blaine sniff. Something didnât seem right with the other.
âIs everything okay?â
Blaine hadnât realized how he had been driving until someone honked their horn loudly, and his response was to yell âWHY DONâT YOU JUST FUCK OFF AND LEAVE ME ALONE!â instead following by a  âSorry, not you... Idiots on the roadâÂ
Blaine breathed, unsure of why he even called Kurt. They were close, but it had all just been physical, they werenât at the, call the other in the middle of a crisis, kind of close. He didnât even know what Kurt's reaction to certain situations would be. Would he call Blaine a pansy and never call him again. Would he think poorly of Blaine because he was actually a scared and emotional gay boy who masked as a tattooed carefree spirit.Â
But the truth was, he was barely holding it together. He thought maybe Kurt would be a distraction, and at first just hearing Kurtâs voice had made him want to smile, but when Kurt asked if he was okay, Blaine paused.Â
Because he was scared he was going to start crying if he instantly tried to talk.
âYea --â Blaineâs word cut off as he cleared his throat, straightening up in his seat as his hands gripped the steering wheel so hard his knuckles were going white âKind of? Yeah, Yeah everything is okay... Well I mean theyâre not okay, but itâs okay. Iâm okay. Sorry to call you so late, I should... I shouldnât have called. I just...â
Blaine chewed his lip as he tried not to burst into tears âI donât have anyone else to call. I donât have anyone else iâd even want to call. I just... I always make these stupid decisions. Seeing my parents... why... why did I subject myself to that. It took me years to get over that, and then my idiot fucking self just waltz right in for what?â As Blaine spoke, his voice would occasionally get louder, peak, break, wobble as he held back âSorry, Iâm rambling. I just, I donât know where to even go right now. Iâm just driving. Iâve been driving for... I donât know how long. Maybe I should pull into a hotel or ... something. Sorry, I donât... Like I donât even know why I called... and I already said that...â
And with that, Blaine felt himself start to cry again.Â
He tried to mask it. He coughed. Cleared his throat. Made a few grunting noises. Yelled at other cars.... and every time heâd just apologize to Kurt for calling him so late.Â

tattooedporcelainâ:
âYouâre so cocky,â Kurt smirked before Blaine leaned in. Kurt closed his eyes over and let his eyes close over. He let out a soft noise and brought one hand up to Blaineâs cheek. He slowly and reluctantly pulled back. While Kurt could easily have spent the rest of the morning kissing Blaine in the bed, he really did need to showerâŠand they probably both couldnât go another round of sex right now.
Kurt grabbed Blaineâs hands and let out a small groan when Blaine pulled him onto his feet. He still didnât feel completely steady on his feet, so Kurt wrapped his arm around Blaineâs waist as he walked into the bathroom with Blaine.
Once they were in front of the shower, Kurt let go of Blaine and slowly walked into the shower and turned the water on. Kurt let out a soft noise of content as he felt the water washing over him, and turned around to look at Blaine with a raised eyebrow, âWell, are you coming?â He asked with a slight smirk.
Being like this with Kurt was so different for Blaine. Even when he was in a long term relationship he never felt like this. There was never any morning kisses. There was certainly never any showers. This was just something heâd seen in the movies, heâd never actually showered with something.Â
Blaine, at first, got a little distracted by Kurt undressing, and even though heâd had sex with the guy, he felt as though he was imposing. Like he was invading his privacy or something by watching him undress for the shower. He actually had to swallow a lump in his throat before he began to strip out of his clothes as well.
Why was he suddenly shy?Â
It took a little bit of moving around to find a good spot, something the Movies never tell you is how awkward it actually is to shower with someone, either not being under the water at all, and freezing, or getting a face full of water and almost waterboarding yourself. But eventually, it worked.Â
They stayed under the water for a bit, Blaineâs soapy hands moved along Kurtâs body a little, getting a better look at his tattoos, before he started to clean his own body. He noticed Kurtâs eyes looking around his skin, and Blaine wondered what he was thinking about while he was looking at all his ink.Â
They didnât say much to each other, theyâd smile at each other, giggle if they did move in close to each other to kiss and their bodies would almost make squishy farting noises. Kurt would call Blaine immature, and Blaine would nearly snort laughing at the noises.Â
Kurt stayed around while Blaine packed his bags and got dressed a little nicer since he was going to head off and have lunch with his parents. He pointed a warning finger at Kurt and said âno commentsâ when slid on his slightly tighter grey pants, put on a nice long sleeve shirt, and slid into a pair of louis vuitton dress shoes. He knew Kurt had only seen him in ripped jeans, tank tops, tshirts and hoodies, and he didnât want him to think this was how he dressed all the time. Yeah, he liked fashion, but he didnât entertain that side of himself anymore. It didnât matter what label his clothing was. Or his shoes... But he knew it mattered to his parents, and it was just one thing he could do to make this easier for himself.Â
Saying Bye to Kurt... sucked. There was this part of his head that told him this was the last time he was even going to see Kurt. How would they even see each other again? Blaine lived in NY. Kurt was a senior in highschool. Yeah, he would graduate soon, but then what? He wasnât sure when the band would come anywhere near Ohio again, and while they had a break now, they were still on tour, and talks had already begun for them to go on tour as the headliners. He couldnât expect Kurt to just put his life on hold too to figure it out.Â
It left a big lump in his throat, knowing that he didnât want to go, but he had to.Â
âIâm sometimes bad with my phone...â Blaine added once they had reached Kurtâs car, watching the other throw his jacket into the backseat and close the door. Blaine waited until Kurt turned around to keep talking âBut I promise that if you call, and I can, I will always answer, and if you text, I will always text back when I can... and I want you to call me, if youâre ever in New York, okay? Promise meâ Blaine didnât wait for Kurt to say anything as he pulled him closer, kissing him hard, pushing Kurtâs back up against the car. He had to practically pull himself away from Kurt to stop kissing him, giving a small out of breath huff when he did.Â
âBye..â Blaine held his hand up as a wave before he watched Kurt get in his car. He turned and walked to his car, because he couldnât watch the other drive away.Â
He absolutely hated every part of this.
Blaine had been caught up in thinking about Kurt while he drove that he hadnât even prepared himself to deal with his family until he pulled up upside.Â
Speaking of things he hated.Â
Cooper was pretty much running out the door to meet Blaine at his car once he had arrived, opening Blaineâs car door before heâd even properly parked. Cooper always got along a little better with the parents than he did, but the look on his face spoke volumes.
âThat bad, huh?â Blaine laughed, trying to actively park the car properly while being pulled out of the car.
Blaine didnât know what to expect when he stepped foot into his parents house. His mother hugged him, his dad just glanced up and nodded as a greeting. They were already setting the table up for late lunch / early dinner by the time he arrived .
âNice of you to show upâ His dad eventually huffed, sitting down at the head of the table.
âUm... yeah, sorry, there was an accident on the road and I didnât check out of the hotel until after 12âł Blaine glanced down at his watch, wondering if it was later than heâd assumed. It wasnât. His dad was just being a dick.Â
âDonât worry about thatâ His mother fussed, though Blaine and his brother exchanged a glance almost to say wtf to each other. She was acting weird.Â
They were silent at first, eating and the only sounds were the cutlery hitting the plate. Eventually his mother broke the silence.Â
âSo. Blaine. Howâs New York?âÂ
âItâs goodâ Blaine nodded, making sure to finish swallowing.
âStill living with that mountebank?â his father piped in before Blaine could continue, the other choking on his food a little bit.Â
âMountebank...â Blaine repeated, glancing at his brother who just looked down at his food. Cooper was always like that. He would just turn away when these types of things started. Blaine hadnât been ready for the insults, and mocks to come so quickly.
âYes. Mountebank. I know youâve thrown your education away, but surely your years at Dalton taught you Englishâ
âI know what the word means, I just donât know whom you are referring toâ Blaine put his fork down âSo weâre going to do this now?â
âPlease, stop. Can we just enjoy our meal together. We havenât been at the same table for a long time, and I just want to enjoy the momentâÂ
Blaine had to bite his lip to stop from talking. It took all of his strength to not say well whose fault is that!?.Â
As expected, the meal was quiet, most of the conversation was about Cooper, a few snide comments about how âthatâs how us Anderson men should actâ or âthatâs what a good education usually gets youâ his father excused himself to go make a call which left his mother embarrassed who said she was going to go check on dessert, leaving Cooper and Blaine sitting at the table.
âWhy am I even here?â Blaine spoke softly to his brother, the other reassuring him that nothing was wrong and it was all good. Just typical behavior that heâd forgotten about because it had been so long.Â
Eventually they had moved into the living room, Blaine and Cooper were mostly talking to each other, their mother listening intently. Their father eventually joined them, though Blaine knew that he wasnât impressed to have to spend his evening there. Cooper was telling his mother about the show, and let it slip that heâd met Kurt.Â
âWhose Kurt?â His mother asked almost instantly.Â
âNo oneâ Cooper added quickly, Blaine sending him daggers.Â
âCome on Pamelaâ his father groaned âWe donât need to hear about whatever fag your son is sleeping with. Itâs bad enough he gallivants around the country, whoring himself out and masking it that heâs somehow getting popular because of his, quote unquote âMusicâ. Easy to make money when you just parade around. I mean look at him for Christ's Sake. What is all this garbage on his body? Where did we go wrong with this one? I blame you, always making him go along shopping with you, and letting him join dance classes instead of playing football like I suggestedâ
And with that, his father stood and walked out, slamming the door behind himself as he walked off.Â
To say that Blaine had to use every single ounce of his strength to not instantly fall apart was an understatement. Why did he even subject himself to this? Heâd spent so long being depressed about his family, and heâd just walked right back into it.Â
It was late anyway, and there was no way he was going to stay and talk more. Blaine glanced over at his brother, and as usual, he was looking down, pretending as though none of this had happened. His mother was picking a bit of lint off of her suit pants.Â
âWell... This has been delightful. Lets not to do it againâ Blaine was on his feet, making his way out the door, grabbing his jacket on the way. He pat his pants, and then dug inside his jacket for his keys, making sure he had his wallet as he slid into the car.Â
âBlaine waitâ Cooper called out, running down the driveway.
Blaine started the car, and put the windows down.Â
âSorry about... what happenedâ Cooper added.
âYou know what Coop... Fuck youâ Blaine moved the gear into reverse.
âBlaineâ Cooper sighed.
âDonât Blaine me. You just sat there and let him talk to me like that. You sat there as alwaysâÂ
Blaine practically skidded as he reversed down the drive way, and speeding off down the road.Â
As soon as he was out of his street, Blaine started to yell, practically punching and slapping the steering wheel (thankfully the air bag didnât pop) before he felt himself crying.Â
He wasnât sure how long heâd been driving, but he kept driving. Heâd been intending on staying with Cooper, but now what? Should he go to a hotel. Drive back to NY?Â
Heâd already been driving for about 40 minutes when he noticed his phone was still on silent. He waited until he was at a red light before he checked his messages to see he had a few misses texts from Kurt, one of them telling Blaine that heâd made it home safe.Â
Blaine looked at the time, and wondered if it was too late to call Kurt. A part of him wanted to pull over and text him, but maybe hearing his voice would help. He couldnât call Josh. Because Josh would tell him he was an idiot for even going. Josh would probably tell him it was his fault for even agreeing to it.Â
Blaine decided to call Kurt. If he didnât answer, well, no big deal.Â
Thankfully, Kurt picked up after only a few rings.Â
âHello?â Kurtâs voice sounded a little confused, but sweet at the same time.
âHeyâ Blaine felt his lips try to smile, as he sniffed a little, wiping his eyes âSorry I missed your texts, I had my phone on silent. What are you up to?âÂ

The kisses to his head brought a small smile to Kurtâs lips, and he gently nuzzled against Blaine. However, when Blaine tapped his shoulder and said he had to piss, Kurt let out a noise of protest and grabbed tighter onto Blaine. Blaine was so warm, so comfortable that Kurt refused to let the other go. It took a lot of fighting against Blaine, but eventually, Kurt lost the battle and Blaine was sliding out of bed. Kurt opened one eye to watch Blaine head into the bathroom, and as soon as the door close, Kurt fell back asleep; and he bured his face into Blaineâs pillow.
Kurt was awakened a moments later when he felt the mattress dipping behind him. He was about to slide back into sleep again when he felt Blaine kissing his cheek. Kurt smiled into the pillow as Blaineâs mouth moved down to his neck, but as Blaine started to kiss all over his back, lip practically exploring Kurtâs skin, Kurt bit down on his lip. It eventually got too much, and Kurt let out a soft moan as he tilted his ass towards Blaine.
Sadly, Blaine moved away way too soon, and Kurt turned his head to pout slightly at Blaine as the other cuddled him from behind.
âOh, are you?â Kurtâs pout turned into a smirk as he looked up at the man towering above him. He turned around slowly to face Blaine, wincing slightly in pain as he shifted. Kurt didnât realise just how far they went last night after he tried to move. Sure, they didnât do anything too crazy - it was nothing Kurt hadnât done before. But they did have sex a lot⊠it made sense he would be a little sore.
âIâd love to join you,â Kurt said as he trailed one finger along Blaineâs arm. âYou might have to help me into the shower. You really did a number on me last night.â He held Blaineâs gaze for a few moments, before leaning in to press his lips gently against Blaineâs.
Blaine hadnât realized how happy he actually was until he noticed how he was smiling. Not in a psychotic way, not some big joker-like smile, but Kurt made him smile. Even in the morning, when he was usually the grumpiest person known to man, Kurt was still making him smile.Â
When Kurt moved, Blaine noticed how Kurt pulled a face like he was sore, and for a split second Blaine got worried, but thankfully Kurt was back to being a flirt, his fingers crawling up Blaineâs arm like the tempter he was that he didnât have time to panic, instead he kinda laughed at it.Â
âThatâs something really hot about thatâ Blaine spoke as he leaned in to meet Kurtâs lips, giving a soft moan, that was mixed with a small playful laugh as he pressed his lips to Kurts.Â
âOkay, up we getâ Blaine chuckled as he got to his feet, holding his hands out for Kurt to take them so he could help the other get up off the bed. While he was sure he could pick Kurt up, if last night was any indication, but he didnât want to admit that he was sore, and his own jelly legs would certain mean he, and Kurt, would be falling over if he tried.Â

Despite Blaineâs leg cramp causing him to fall and Kurt whacking his head on the TV when Blaine bent him over the counter, Kurt could not complain a bit about the sex last night. It wasnât just because they had sex multiple times; there was just something about Blaine that made it impossible for Kurt not to enjoy the otherâs company. They could both laugh off the mishaps as they happened, and Kurt would still want to continue rather than just praying for the hook-up to be over and sneaking out as soon as the other guy fell asleep.`
That was another different thing. Kurt never stayed the night with a guy, and if he did, heâd usually sleep as far away on the bed as he could from the guy, make him sleep on the couch, or Kurt would take the sofa himself. But instead, Kurt found himself curled up into Blaine, his head resting against Blaineâs chest. Blaine was warm, so it was incredibly easy for Kurt to just melt against him and fall asleep in the otherâs armsâŠ
So when he heard a chiming noise, Kurt let out a small sound of protest and buried his face into Blaineâs chest, hoping that he would get just a few more minutes before he had to wake up. Blaineâs hand coming back to his body after turning off what Kurt assumed was his alarm, and the feeling of Blaine gently touching his back was enough to lull Kurt back into sleep. That was until Kurt heard his own phone going off.
Kurt let out a more audible groan this time and pressed his face into Blaineâs ribs. He nodded and let out an affirmative grunt when Blaine asked if that was his phone going off. Although Blaine said to just ignore it, Kurt reached out to grab his phone - mostly so he could turn it off - but Blaine pulled him closer before Kurt could grab it. Which was probably a good thing. With Blaine pulling him closer, it gave Kurt more of an excuse to not move. He smiled slightly when he felt Blaineâs head resting on his, and his arm wrapped tighter around Blaine when he felt the other grip his back firmer. âCan I just stay here,â Kurt mumbled, his lips brushing against Blaineâs chest, âI donât want to moveâŠâ
Blaine could only make a soft mmh noise in reply to Kurt. whether it was a âyesâ to Kurt's question, or a moan in regard to feeling the others lips against his skin was something Blaine didnât know though.Â
Blaine did try to fall back asleep, but it was now impossible to get his mind to settle. There were just too many things overriding his senses that there was no way heâd be able to sleep. His mind was active, feeling Kurtâs body against his, feeling Kurtâs breath on his skin, the soft movements of the others lips, the fact he was getting hard against and absolutely nothing was going on.Â
He shook it off mentally, and told himself not to even think or acknowledge it, but the more they lay, the more warm Blaine got, and the more he felt like he really did need a shower and his urge to pee was skyrocketing.
Eventually he had to break the comfort of the slim man beside him. Blaine pressed kisses along the edge of Kurtâs head before he eventually pat the others shoulder âMood killer but I really need to pissâ Blaine eventually blurted out, followed with a small laugh.Â
It was a struggle, and lots of groans, but Blaine eventually split from Kurt, doing an awkward shuffle toward the bathroom. He now realized how absolutely sore his legs were too from the previous evening. Thankfully he didnât have a show tonight.Â
When he walked back out, he couldnât help but grin when he saw that Kurt had fallen back asleep, face first into the pillow that Blaine himself had been sleeping on, his arm thrown over the bed in a way where Blaine could easily just slot himself back in place. The blanket hung low, wrapped around Kurtâs waist, but his entire upper body was exposed. Blaineâs eyes trailed over a few of the boys tattoos that he could see, but there was just something about the scene in front of him that felt right. Like he would have no issue waking up to the sight of that person in his bed everyday. Kurt didnât look out of place, as far as Blaine was concerned.Â
Blaine walked back to the bed, though instead he crawled up behind Kurt, pressing soft kisses to the side of Kurtâs face, then across his neck, then down his back, soft and slow kisses as he explored the others back with kisses. Eventually Kurt made a noise, whether it was a groan to stop, or a moan to keep going, Blaine didnât know, but he slid back up, giving the other a small cuddle from behind, though still towering over him slightly âIâm going to go have a showerâ Blaine spoke between playful kisses against Kurtâs cheek âWant to join me?â
