I guess now is the time to stop waiting for things to happen and just let life unfold itself.

They say that you don’t really notice when or how you lose someone. But I beg to differ. One would know; one would definitely know when someone is slipping right from their hands.

Like when he forgets to remember the little things that means the world to you: the respective stare from a bookkeeper from the five-kilometer away library you always go to, the glee of having to found the things you’ve lost and was failed to found before, the sweet smile of a parent’s kid as they see their son buying a barbie doll, the delightful sound of a typewriter, the aroma of aged books, the words you scribble at every corner of a sticky note stack.

He must remember yet he forgets.

He forgets how i h8 u means when you send it to him as a reply in a middle of an argument, he forgets that the manifestation of your silence is not always because you have something going on, he forgets to take the chicken skin and give you the chicken meat as if it is not the usual thing he does, he forgets to take the bell pepper from the pizza which you don’t really love to eat, he forgets the title of the song the two of you always listen to in every bus ride home, he forgets and keeps on forgetting things while you keep remembering things for him.

This is when your grip is not enough to hold him anymore. This is when you start to lose a person.
