Oh I do know. Ate me own brother once things started gettin rough for us ages ago, before the Boss found me. Think that mighta messed me up more than anythin' else though, got more violent after, but then again he was gettin pretty aggressive too, so probably a family thing.

But squid live in the open ocean, you shouldn’t have a problem with swimming over the slurry.

There's also sand 'n rocks instead of poison as a ground in the open ocean that critters could rest in, or on.

If I truly wanted to do so, I might be able to swim over that gunk, but why would I? Too likely to fall in that way. Not a very clever nor honorable way to go, think I'd prefer dyin' to Voltai over that.

you can swim why not just go over the slurry what's the point of boats to you. you are your own boat

I have to rest sometimes too y'know? You don't exactly find sturdy or clear things to rest on in the open slurry often.

The boss does use me to grab trash occasionally though, if the scrappers can't reach and it looks valuable enough to bother.
