You got to work at 4am. Night shift left you a disaster so before you could do anything else you had to clean up their shit. It is now 3pm and your evening replacement should have been here an hour ago. You have spent eleven hours on your feet being screamed at. You have had exactly one 15-minute break, because lunch is a fantasy concept when you work in food service. You have a water and a wasp cup right next to you. They are the same size. You are taking an order, handing out an order, keeping an eye on a trainee, and trying to get mobile orders on the rack all at the same time while racing a timer because corporate has "service standards" that include requiring everyone to run at breakneck pace at all times.

for what it's worth: after a few months of submitting help tickets as 'feedback' when i saw a post inappropriately flagged as mature, i tried following this suggestion instead. today i got my first-ever response from tumblr support on this issue, letting me know that a post i'd submitted a ticket before has had its mature content flag removed.

When you submit a report, Tumblr will email you. You have to read the email and follow the instructions in it, otherwise they will not follow through on your bug.

Thinking about something this morning and it's like. People do realize that feminism is a discipline right? It's an object of study. You need to actually sit down and read and learn it, it is not something that you can simply glean from being alive. If you could, the world would probably be a better place for women.

• this is true even if you are a woman who knows how you personally have been wronged by the patriarchy. your perspective is valuable, but it is not all that there is.

• this also means you don't glean it by following a bunch of "feminist posters". Its more complex than will fit in a social media post.

• Its also fairly important to note this applies to liberatory practices against all bigotries. I specify this because trans women, women of color, disabled women, etc, all need liberation along more than just feminist lines. You can get pretty far reading just feminist theory but you gotta read black feminist theory, transfeminist theory, etc. This is especially true if you're a cishet white feminist, you might accidentally hurt those less advantaged than you if you go around being feminist without accounting for them.

• You should also be discussing the theory with others as you do, because you'll absorb a lot more through a book club format than via reading alone in your room, but if you have no friends for now, reading on your own will do fine.

Cartoon Network posting Steven Universe promos for Pride Month will never stop boiling my fucking blood.

Cartoon Network cancelled the show. They viciously and intentionally fucked over Rebecca Sugar, Ian Jones-Quartey, and the entire rest of the crew. It is documented in the SU art books and in multiple statements from Rebecca Sugar that pushing for the Garnet wedding is what caused the show to get cancelled. The crew had to FIGHT to get any episodes past the wedding. There was supposed to be so much more.

I recognize that the social media team is not the same as the executives making decisions, but holy fucking hell is it a special kind of infuriating. The network won't support the show while it airs, they won't support the crew in their attempts to add queer representation, but the second they can use the cancelled show for corporate Pride promos? Better believe they'll try to take credit for being progressive and queer-friendly, never mind how many queer artists and workers the company fucked over along the way.

I saw this when running newpipe. But wait, it gets deeper. I clicked on the details buttons and it said as of today, we have 83 days left until Google rolls out this new requirement for apps inside and outside of the google play store. If any developer disagrees with their new terms and fees, they will be blocked!

I'll share some of the info below:

Looks like they're trying to nuke the remaining privacy and freedoms we have left on the internet.

What to do?

-Get your developer friends to not comply to their new guides

- Sign the open letter on the site and take action by checking out the full resources list on their website as well!

To summarize, this is all daunting especially when you feel all alone with unfair and inhumane regulations comming out faster than improvements but we got this working together!
