There has been a long silence on this blog but meanwhile in the real world we’ve kept on drawing, sketching, painting, and experimenting. Time to upload all of the backlogged sketches, we hope you will enjoy.
Christmas market in Riga, by R | dec, 2018
sadly, there’s so little time to draw, when you have a full time job... even so, here’s at least one new sketch, reminiscing about another time, on another continent, in dear Venice. By S, 2017

From the same sketch walk, a drawing by S. Dome church in Riga, Latvia.
After a little too long pause due to university and life duties, we are back! These some quick sketches by R in lovely Riga. Also trying some new drawing tools!
Practising very quick 20 min monocolour sketches | by S
Sketch from the aforementioned urban sketching event, by S. Pushing for quick lines and quick colour on location. Feels very different than painting at home.
We joined an urban sketching meeting in Delft this weekend. It was nice to meet other people who are also into sketching. After that we also found time to relax and practice our nonexistent selfy skills (time to put faces to the art, haha). Can you guess which sketches are ours?
Finally the weather is good enough in Delft for us to go out on a weekend and do a spot of sketching | by S, April 2017
First wild attempt at watercolours, by R | winter 2015
A super quick sketch of the cathedral with the sky for a roof in Lisbon | March 2017, by S
Every architect, architecture student, person who is interested in architecture, or anyone who is wondering what’s wrong with the world, should read Architecture Depends by Jeremy Till. Immensely engaging (and entertaining!) book. This sketch, by R, is reference to the cover of the book | March, 2017
Throwback to a sunny Sunday afternoon in an Amsterdam park, me sketching the pond, the ducks, the manor house, while R was sketching me... | Sept, 2016, by S
