"Everyone seems to know where their destiny will take them, what's so wrong with seeking out mine?"
The second born daughter of the White royal family, Demure Charming is anything but demure.
With her mother putting all of her love onto her sister, Ambrosia, and her father absent and frequently away from home, Demure was often left in the care of others as a child. She was never satisfied with the answers her tutors or nannies gave her, how she was expected to act, her role as a princess charming, and the constant uncertainty around her destiny. If destiny was so clear, then why was she left in the dark? Why did she even need to learn to be a damsel if that might not even be her destiny? Why did everyone assume having to be rescued was her destiny, not something more heroic? Why did she have to be a girl at all? No one liked when she asked those kinds of questions. This created a tomboyish princess who rides horses and sword fights better than any prince and is proud of it. Demure is stubborn, bold and defiant. She holds the traits of the Charming Clan to heart; to fight evil, stand against injustice, and protect the innocent. Though she may have taken this oath a bit too seriously, getting into fights all throughout Spellmentary all the way to Ever After High.
With Legacy Day approaching, many including her family expect her to finally settle down and act more princessilke...but when Legacy Day finally comes, how will she react when a terrible truth comes to light?

Braeburn, Cortland, Cosmic, Honeycrisp, Jonagold, Jazz, and Rome-the seven horses her father gifted her for her birthday. (one for each birthday he wasn't able to attend).
The first second born daughter of Apple White and Daring Charming. Older younger sister of Ambrosia White. Her cousin is Elias Charming.
Her mother switched her and her sister at birth, having been raised as the younger daughter...it's only a matter of time before the truth comes out.
Isnāt close with her family at all. Her mother puts all her love and attention on her sister and her father is always away on quests.
A stubborn trans prince who struggles with her gender identity. Living in the traditional (cough queerphobic and misogynic cough) White Kingdom keeps her from freely and truly finding herself.
She just likes to wear masculine clothing, felt much more comfortable with short hair, and enjoys doing the male roles in Advanced Ballet than the female ones. She just wants to be like prince charming, not to be a princeā¦right?
Prefers to be called D by her friends rather than Demure.
Originally only took ballet because her mom forced her to, but actually ended up enjoying it and met Marquis through the classes.
Briefly dated Sage Breadhouse in late middle school into their first year at Ever After High, but both of them realized they were better off as friends. They still remain close.
If Raven was the spark that fizzled out, Demure is the fuse that reignited the rebellion.
Demure is inspired by several characters: Utena from Revolutionary Girl Utena, Lady Oscar from The Rose of Versailles, and Princess Sapphire from The Princess Knight.
The one who started it all and one of my favorite characters to write. So I decided to change some things from my original post on her as a main character. Originally OG Demure was similar to Darling, then as I was rewriting her, I was worried she was TOO similar to Darling like she was just a copy. I struggled for forever on how to make Demure more unique. Until I thought...what if she didn't want to be like prince charming, she wanted to be one? Thanks to @agoraphcbja for helping me so much on figuring out Demure's character and his journey.
