Sigurd raised an eyebrow slightly in surprise that he figured it out. Ha. Probably the books part gave him away. So, he did lean back, crossing his arms over his chest with a simple nod. “The issue of me being a nobleman would be the added thing to the fact I am also a man.” He said simply, fixing the coat back around him before looking up.
“So, used up your last question already. I thought you were saving it for later.” He teased him, simply because he was actually… enjoying his company. And for some odd reason, he was feeling… not as ill as before. Hm.
He looked to the sides just in case, but it was just them. Probably no one liked approaching the Prince’s room - just like he asked as well. Still, he did wonder if they would see each other again. He’d want that - but… Well, if the other did visit his home country to deal with the royal family he would be surprised when he saw that he was one of them as well.
“So, guess. Am I a duke, a low lord wanting more power, an annotated general or who knows? A prince.” He was teasing him, but he was curious what he’d pick. After all - he could almost pass for all of them.
“Aah!” The knight let out a frustrated sound, not having thought about using up his last question, and sighed in disappointment. But Erik had admitted that he was a nobleman. Not that it surprised the knight - he had always thought that the marksman had a sublime air about him.
When he was asked about the other’s specific role, Mikkel went through the possibilities.
“You don’t seem power-hungry enough to be a lord wanting more power. You’d be skilled enough to be a general, probably, but since your parents seem to be wealthy enough as well, I think it’s probably a hereditary kind of nobility.”
Mikkel observed the other man as he leaned back with his arms crossed and couldn’t help but chuckle lightly.
“I’d really be screwed if you turned out to be a prince, hahah! I mean, I can definitely see you with a crown. It would suit you.” The knight mindlessly reached forward to tuck a strand of the other’s hair behind his ear. It was so soft… “But I don’t see why any prince other than Ivan would show interest in a simple knight and I fear that I wouldn’t be able to get close to you at all, if you were.
So I’ll have to go with duke as my answer, for my own sake, haha!”
But had Mikkel really seduced a nobleman? Or been seduced by… it had been rather mutual, after all. He hoped that none of this would have bad consequences for him, Erik or Ivan.
