A sneak peek at an upcoming feature for Innkeep.
I've rebooted my dev diary series! Check out this introduction to a game I've been working on for ten years.
A dribbly candle shows you how much time you have left to steal things each night. :-)
More 2D lighting goodness.
Witness the power of my 2D lighting.
Been getting back into getting the lighting working for the 8 bedrooms of the Weary Pilgrim inn. The beds here are on pause until the new art for them is in. But we've got walls and floors working nicely.
2D lighting.
A summoning.
The evolution of the Innkeep player sprite.
How the bedroom walls cut away in Innkeep. There's twelve separate rooms you can enter like this. Each one was hand crafted.
Loverly pies.
One of the most complicated 2D effects in the game.
Eavesdropping on some polite conversation.
In Innkeep you get to meet lots of friendly people!
Tables will get a bit cluttered with used bowls and tankards during the evening. So you'll need to do a bit of tidying up now and then. Of course, this might be a great excuse to stand nearby when you want to listen to some hushed conversation…
It takes a lot of firewood to keep your guests toasty warm. Who is going to chop all this stuff??
In Innkeep you can look at barrels to see what kind of drink is in them, and how much is left. The exterior of the barrel actually fades away to show the liquid inside. :-)
