What are the beauty standards in your world? Like are longer ears seen as more beautiful than shorter ones? Ect ect.

Beauty standards on cat people planet vary from country to country actually; in some places bigger ears are seen as a desirable feature, in some places the smaller the better;

In the country my main OCs are from they don't care about ears actually, their main beauty standard is to be tall but not too tall ( ideally 170-180cm for women and 180-190cm for men; men taller then 195 cm are considered some unhealthy shit) and preferably sporty body type on a thicker side for both men and women; Everything else is quite optional as long as an individual looks balanced in general;

Some characters that are considered really good looking in this story:

Most of them has quite noticable eyebrows I guess it's their favorite face feature lmao;

In the country these guys are from the beauty standart is to have small ears, tan skin, a prominent face bone structure and preferably just look like them in general because a lot of them are kinda racist with an imperialistic mindset; but they will treat you good if you can resemble them in some way;

Fun fact Anvári was actually quite a modern progressive woman that's why she got interested in a red haired foreign man with big ears; and still she lowkey found him attractive because his face features just happen to kinda resemble her people, I think you can see these too actually look alike;

In some other places beauty standarts can be so wild people would cut their ears to change it's shape, in other places people would use implants to make their ears bigger etc etc; Basically the same crazy shit as in real life but extended to ears as well;

Dafne was fucking obsessed with Igor; As you can tell the feeling wasn't mutual; She had his face cast so she loved to kinda pretend her man is watching her masturbate;

She had a long story of him being her celebrity crush; She went into the music academy dreaming of becoming a star and hoping she might work with Igor some day; Not only he was her type, but he also turned out to be the first man who didn't rejected her right away so she completely lost her mind;

Dafne had a lot of friends but her love life was a mess; She was very aggressive leaning the most in the physical agression, would often behave as an insecure creep, could often come across as pervy and had this kinda destructive rapey even nature that was rightfully scaring the men she wanted away; Dafne would fall in love with someone then overstep their boundaries so they'd leave her and she's alone again crying and smashing her head against the wall thinking why can't she just be normal;

Igor wasn't repulsed with her being a pervert; He thought it was nice that Dafne is so freaky and liberated, good energy to bring it on stage and stuff; He was fine with her being weird, loud attention seeking and stuff, he could care less; He loved fucking her so it was whatever; Dafne felt accepted and normalized but still tried to hold it together and tried her best not to fuck things up; Igor still started drifting away at some point because he just got kinda tired of her being too energetic; He was also kinda hoping her excitement about him would fade off with time, but her obsession was only growing so it started disgusting him; Igor thought he himself was disgusting so everyone attracted to him was also sick beyond his acceptance;

He also hated seeing his reflection in Dafne, he didn't realize it, but subconsciously he was noticing her mirroring his destructive obsessive nature, how he couldn't just leave the people who aren't interested in him alone and so on;

He was already disgusted with her because he subconsciously saw himself in her actions and then she had to start violating his physical boundaries too; Physical agression was always a deal breaker for Igor, so when Dafne started laying her hands on him it was over; Their personal relationship were ruined beyond reparable, but Igor still loved her as a performer and didn't want to let her go, they still had their contracts, she still owed his label etc so they continued existing in misery untill one day Dafne just completely relapsed so they had to send her to the mental hospital;

Ironically when I've just created him my first thought was "damn he looks like a Tumblr sexy man" I was probably onto something 💀

Something about a new look in Igor's design;

This might look like something new that came out of nowhere, but I'm actually going back to basics of how the character was actually created;

Originally Igor was supposed to be some random celebrity making fun of Kaíl, specifically of his makeup and mannerism on tribune, so this was the very first sketch of Igor made in November 2024 ↓

Later I changed his design from pic 1 to pic 2 so he has more interesting face features and not just some default man; I also got rid of small pupil/iris later because I realized a big dark iris looks creepier; these are from 2024:

Then I kinda got carried away with his red&white aesthetic so I forgot about this look and let it marinate for a 1+ year and now I came back to it with some fresher mind;

Kaíl's makeup is the essential part, so it was important to me for Kaíl's impersonation to look good as well; And the previous Igor's "Kaíl makeup" designs were kinda a mess so I took a pause with them; Kaíl's makeup in question:

ridiculous on purpose with the tons of blush that Igor hated;

With the new take on Igor's "Kaíl makeup" I moved on from basic ass round blush because I realized not only it looks a mess, but also doesn't capture Kaíl's vibe; so I decided to go all the way with the blush and somehow the look got really put together;

The bangs were originally supposed to be like Kaíl's but drawn on face, but I decided to get rid of these too, because it looks good on Kaíl, but doesn't really serve as a make up look on Igor; so I decided why not to depict the bangs as a singular hair in the middle, Igor is a hater anyway so he would totally do that;

So this is the look I wanna focus on for now; I'm obsessed with the Bullterrier shaped blush lmao;

I didn't try to intentionally put any reference or homage here, but I kinda hope making blush placed like this would potentially help Igor look a little bit more like David Bowie so people would notice that or something;

I've been kinda hesitant to post about this, because I thought one character impersonating another is a bit too much for people who don't know the lore to comprehend and no one would be interested; but I'm kinda inspired rn so I wanna bring back some of og Igor & Kaíl ideas now;

Idk what to add about Dafne; take some sketches of her that I haven't posted here; I don't have much sfw art of her that I can post here without getting flagged;

How did. How did Dafne acquire Igor's face cast

Basically everyone Igor encountered with had his face cast mask; His colleagues, his friends, the prostitutes etc; He gave this mask to people and they could keep it if they wanted to; Obviously Dafne kept it and used it for the face riding;

Igor loved to "claim" people as "his" by putting the mask on them; it was also a way to kinda dehumanize them, because he couldn't care less about most of them so by hiding their faces, he liked to emphasize his superior position in their hierarchy;

Igor also found it kinda fun to put the mask of his tired old face on a beautiful young body; It was his way of self-irony; obsessed with youth and young bodies he loved to make young people get naked and wear his face; he found this view bittersweet because he never got to keep his body intact because when he was in his 20-s he had to go to war to pay off his debts and stuff; weird way to have fun but whatever;

These visuals were heavily inspired by this type shit from Na Chui and Till Lindemann's music videos iykyk; I really liked the vibe of the orgy where everyone is wearing a mask of the same man; Idk what was the original meaning put into this, but I found it disgustingly egocentric looking and lowkey sad at the same time, so I decided it was a perfect character design inspo;

Oh Lotta, must be rough to rummage though you stuff and suddenly have Igor's face poke out of that pile...

Yeah she wasn't a fan of this move; But nevertheless she kept it even after Igor's death for some time because despite him being a horrible person and their relationship being traumatizing for her, she still wanted to keep some memories; she threw it away some years later when she finally started to recover mentally and felt like a separate person & artist, so she didn't need this emotional support creepy trinket anymore;
