Okay, here’s a possible justification of RDJ as Doctor Doom. You know how Tony Stark saved the MCU from Thanos? If we’re going with the theory that Doctor Doom is doing what he’s doing to save his universe - as in he’s trying to destroy the MCU and Fox X-Men universes to save the First Steps universe - then it feels like a dark echo of Tony Stark. Like the multiverse is saying people with RDJ’s face are destined to save their universe from great evil.
On one hand, we get Tony Stark, who was the MCU’s main hero.
On the other hand…Doom.
