Hey!!!, its fine its fine we all cool. Tbh you are an artist and far more than just machine that releases oc content. Its always a pleasure to see any form of art be it a sketch or full fledged masterpiece because its pretty enjoyable to dissect the result and wonder the purpose of color and each line. Please do not burden yourself with imaginary scenarios of your ocs being mischaracterized! Your worldbuilding obviously looks like it is intended to be perceived by mature audiences and contains pretty heavy themes (as seen in character posts so far). Also because nowadays kids cannot read more than 4 words and cannot handle muted colors, I believe you're safe lol

I need to somehow move the focus from my characters to my art in general;

Because as much as I wanna be popular I don't really think I wanna be popular as an original character artist who has a fandom and is obligated to make comics and animations and stuff; I also don't think I can actually stand having a fandom because I really don't like the thought about people redesigning my characters lol;

Like enhancing some of their features you like or adapting character for a different style is fine; But changing the whole thing; hell nah; I do not spend time adding and removing the tiniest parts trying to figure out what looks and works the best for every character for someone to come and say "fuck it we're changing everything for my liking and nobody can say anything because it's my headcanons it doesn't hurt anyone and it's not that deep";

Like imagine someone giving Kaíl more hair because "he's gonna look hotter this way" even tho I stated that Kaíl has alopecia; sounds horrible I'm not ready for that🤣

And I wouldn't be sitting here getting scared by the imaginary scenarios if I didn't see the current state that fandom culture is now in; all I see is people making everything about themselves and redesigning the hell out of the original sometimes simply for the sake of rage baiting; I don't want this kinda energy around my projects so I have to figure out how do I get popular with my original art without giving away any lore and stuff lol;

Not sure how to feel about that tbh; Like of course I'd be interested to look at your drawing but I have some concerns;

Not because you're a little of art skills individual, but because I don't really treat my cat people planet stuff as an open world game where everyone can join with the characters they've created; And technically they aren't even cat related; like they're not cats that wished to become humans or something but just weird looking apes;

Maybe if you've meant creating a fan character that you're gonna keep to yourself whose design is inspired by your cat that would sound better; But all that humanizing something into my story thing sounds weird sorry if that sounds rude you get the point;

I'm very pleased that my cat people planet interests people to the point they wanna create their characters; but I feel weird about creating like fan characters into a story that doesn't even exist and isn't copyrighted yet; and there's not even much material to work with too so idek;

Sometimes I use magic poser to figure out some questionable angles or poses; but for some reason the most juice poses come out when I freestyle shit without reference lmao
