On the go Breakfast #1:

|| Overnight Coconut/Fruit Oatmeal ||

Ingredients: -1 ½ cups Rolled oats -1 cup Coconut Milk -Toppings of your choice. (I did blueberries, pomegranate seeds, coconut)

Instructions: -Pour oats and milk into a blender and give it a small mix. -Put the mixed mixture into a mason jar and seal the lid tight. -Refrigerate overnight. -Wake up -Put yummy toppings on top -Have a rad day!

Today I looked at the calendar and realized the first month of 2016 is almost over. It is AMAZING how fast days and months go the older you get. I fee like we just moved to Portland, but it has been 5 months in February.

I wish I could say 2016 has been everything I depicted, but it hasn’t. Failure isn’t the right word, but disappointed. What could I have done differently this month to make it an amazing month? Everyday I wake up remembering how beautiful this life is! Honestly, that is what makes everyday, every month amazing. That simple reminder I am healthy, Austin is healthy, Atlas is healthy and so is my family. I am FOREVER grateful by the little and large things. How many of you look through a lens of an {epic day}. Maybe you dream about what you could be doing everyday besides doing the daily routine. Unfortunately, life does not always "allow” that in the big people world. So smile & just remember you are breathing. That alone should bring a smile to your face.

Keep your head up friends! Make 2016 {epic} through one big smile and a hug to a loved one.

What are you doing this week to spread joy?

FRI•YAY; a day filled with joyful laughter, homemade brunch, forever friends, dog kisses, turtlenecks and whole bunch of love.

Some of you may know that one of the people I look up to greatly is Jackie Carr. If you don’t know who that is, I’m sorry. But if you’re smart you’ll look her up. She’s a bad ass chick that has a whole lot of love to spread all over the world. I have recently been reading her blogs from past to present on some days and I came across this one: “I love to fail. Only now” and what I took most from it was this phrase;

“Take time to explore, to get present, rock the awareness, and choose to be beautifully human. We’re all just winging it out there. Failing, flailing and leaning on one another. All the time”

PREACH SISTER. The exact words I blurted out after reading this. Luckily my pup isn’t that big into judging so he went back to chewing his bone, but in that moment lots of worries just clicked. Life isn’t a race. Life isn’t full of for sure plans. Do what you love with who you live and everything else will fall into place.

Reflecting on how good this day has been makes me so happy that I have amazing people in my life who want to spread good vibes all around. To my dearest friend Maeg, let’s drink coffee and talk life more. You’re a saint.
