mae was surprised when he turned around to kiss her, not expecting that at all that she slid back against the cushions on the arm of the sofa whilst dragging him down with her, all while laughing against his lips. she scrunched her nose. “i think youjin is starting to hate us.” she whispered, glancing at boy on the other side of the room and laughing. 

“youjin hates everyone.” inseong teased, glancing back at the other boy too, who was now rolling his eyes. “nope, just you two.” he grinned in reply, obviously just teasing them back. “fine, fine. we’ll leave you in peace.” inseong got to his feet, holding his hand out for mae. he suggested they make themselves some lunch, then hearing a loud clap suddenly from behind him. “oh, i’d love some!” yejun taunted from the doorway like he was offered some of it.

being locked up was starting to get boring. despite the house being filled with so many people, there was only so much to do. they’ve played games, made food together, tik toks, and even went as far as making a low budget music video. mae was laying in inseong’s bed, scrolling through her phone until he texted her from downstairs. after a series of texts, she finally gathered the energy to get up and join inseong in the living room where he was playing a game of mario. mae couldn’t care less about their game, she went and passed in front of them and crawled on the couch until she was was back hugging her boyfriend, clinging against his back and kissing his cheek. “when will this stupid game be over?”

inseong loved to tease mae, and loved living with her for the time being. it was a busy house, but they were all enjoying balancing their time together. inseong tried to stay focussed on the game, wanting to joke and ignore mae but as soon as she kissed his cheek he lost focus. “now.” he laughed, turning his head to kiss her properly. “inseong, you just fell of the road!” youjin called from across the road, only to see him kissing his girlfriend and scoffing loudly. “oops?” he smiled, placing his remote to the ground, poking mae on her nose.

“oh, god. i don’t even want to imagine.” she laughed, shaking her head. “present? you… you didn’t have to get me a present…” she trailed off, looking surprised, but she couldn’t hide the excitement.

“it’s your birthday!” inseong shook his head, handing over the little gift bag he had. inside it was a charm that had ‘24′ on it, one he knew would go on the charm bracelet spencer had given her earlier. “do you like it? do you need help putting it on?”

“they must’ve come in and i didn’t see them…” she trailed off, looking around behind her where most of their friends were gathered. if she was honest, it was a little stressful to throw a party. she wasn’t able to stop checking if things were okay everywhere. “or probably meeting his girlfriend. i saw charlie leave through the back door.” she chuckled, shaking her head.

“oh those two, so private, so coy.” inseong teased, knowing well what kind of look he’d be getting from the couple if they could hear him. “or they’re being inappropriate in the flowerbed, but i’m not sure that’s their style.” he added with a soft nudge to rin’s shoulder. “but anyway! do you want your present yet?”

“alright, fair enough. you look perfect.” she laughing, nodding with an impressed look when she saw his outfit. “oh, thank you. this took time too.” rin joked with him, and opened the door wider. “where are the others?”

“always do.” inseong joked, gently tugging on his own jacket with a cocky huff. not that he could pull something like that off, cause he was soon laughing shyly over it. “you look beautiful, rin. and some are around already, i think? woosung probably headed straight for the garden. quiet, you know?”
