She wasn’t buying it for whatever reason she just couldn’t buy it. Instead she rolled her eye and waved her hand as if dismissing what he said. She stood up straight a hand moving to her hip as she watched her white haired friend.

“I suppose those with short term memory loss do suffer a lot. I should feel sorry for those people who actually have it hmm?”

“Such hostility, Kiku-chan~”

He waved a hand, some mockery gesture meant to lure her or anyone into feeling a little more validated and reassured that they need not have their guard up so high. Even though they were perfectly within reason, he’d convince them they weren’t. 

“Got yerself some pent up frustration, d’ya?”

An unamused look came upon her face as she looked at him. Did he really call her and then forget the reason for it? She just stared at him for a long moment as if trying to see past the mask he wore for everyone else. She took a step closer and leaned in just a bit.

“You don’t just call anyone by their child hood nickname and then forget why you wanted to do that. Unless your a distraction, but I do not see why that would be.”

“It’s not very nice’ta poke fun at those with short term memory loss, Kiku-chan.” 

The drop in her expression, oh, she wasn’t finding herself impressed by him at all and yet he would persist. Much to opportune to walk away from now.

She turned hearing him call her, she was curious. It was the only nickname he was allowed to call her and she wouldn’t take it from anyone else. “Is there something you wanted?” A grin started to form on her lips as her eyes lit up with mischief.

“Was there ‘spose’ta be a reason, I must’ve forgotten what it could ‘ave been.” 

He feigned unawares, it was far from an innocent approach. His intentions were to get her talking to him and he knew all too well that using a childhood nickname would persuade her to at least acknowledge him. If only for a moment.

Ya know damn well ain’t nobody ‘round here ever gonna be happy t’see ya. S’how ‘bout I give ya to the count of 5 t’get outta my face, ya? And even that’s generous of meh.”

and here she thought her squad had a lot of problems. the last time she checked, this silver haired man wasnt third seat. some things mustve happened. what became of the previous third seat? she probably wont ever know. gazing as the two males size each other up, the short vizored hoped a fight wont break out…but things are starting to get ugly. the expression on shinji’s face is enough to make her not interfere. this was his problem now as he claims it. keeping a watchful eye on the grinning traitor for any movements, she prepares herself mentally for a fight about to break out.

“My, my, that’s a rather serious expression yer wearin’, almost has me thinkin’ yah might be a tinge bit threatened by my presence~ Now, what reason would there be fer such high tensions between us still, I wonder. And ta’the count o’ five, that hardly sounds reasonable, Hirako-taichou.

“This ain’t ‘bout that. It’s about this asshole and him not being gone by now. I don’t give two shits why he’s here but I’ll tell ya one thing— he’ll be leaving soon.”

glancing up at the other vizored who had come to her aid, she was shocked at the fully serious and scary expression on his face. how long has it been since shinji got like this? to the short vizored, no harm has been done yet…was there something she didnt know? she wasnt sure. falling silent at his words reeking of hatred, hiyori just looked down at the floor in defeat.

“Oh my, s’matter with the sudden change o’ atmosphere here? Not very invitin’ at all. So serious, so serious, Hirako-taichou, why the serious face? Thought ya’d be happy t’see yer ol’ third seat after so long, can’t we have a nice reunion~?”

“hah? then yea we’re different. but it aint changin da fact that yer a monster callin people monster just cuz they aint dead.”

“No, no, no, I’m afraid ya misunderstand, thas not why yer bein’ called a monstrosity at all. the fact you remain alive is only a fortunate consequence’f what Aizen made ya.”
