Copenhagen is known for many things, one being the liberal relation to pornography and the ongoing legal sex industry. What happend to Justin Bieber in Copenhagen?

JUSTIN JUSTIN JUSTIN and a whole lot of scream disrupted Bieber from continuing his singing when he visited Parken in Copenhagen Denmark in April last year. 

Emotionally touched by this, Justin respectfully let the crowd of fans take over his show for at least 15 min, while at the same time enjoying the crowd bowing for him. Nevertheless, most of the time he couldn't control his flirtatious behavior, which kept the wheel rolling even faster through provoking and playful sexual attraction.

Mother is located at Høkerboderne 9-15  .  The opening hours are 1100-0100, but the kitchen closes at 2200, you are however more then welcome to stick around and enjoy drinks until closing time. We recommend that you try one of Mother's wonderful pizzas baked in their wood fuelled stone oven.

The bar is located on Gasværksvej 33. The team behind the bar are the owners of the award winning bar 1105. The concept of 1156 will be as the sisterbar, namely a cocktailbar. The decor is a mix of cool, smooth and classic furniture from around Europe all brought together to give a unique and metropolitan feeling.

Worlds smallest hotel & cafe

Yes, it is true, things just are smaller in Copenhagen, Denmark. Today we managed to find not just a small hotel, but the worlds smallest hotel. The hotel is located in Copenhagens once rough 'red-light district', but now also trendy part of the city. The hotel offers just one room thay used to be a shoemakers old workshop. Today the room is now nicely decorated in true Scandinavian style.

Downstairs the hotel invites you inside the worlds smallest coffee cafe with room for just 5 seated guests.

Although small, the hotel & cafe offers a lot of "hygge" (cozy/niceness/warmth), definitely a must see when in Copenhagen, if not for the night, then at least for a cop of joe..!

Do you know why Michael Jackson wanted to buy Tivoli in Copenhagen, Denmark?

The answer is simply because it is a one of the most amazing theme parks in the world, with years of tradition in amusement and romance at the same time.  

Located in the center of Copenhagen, Tivoli is an urban phenomenon and is surrounded by the town hall square, the Hans Christian Anderson house, and the main train station. It was founded by Georg Cartensen, who was given a five-year commission by King Christian VIII; Cartensen reportedly persuaded the king by telling him, “when the people are amused, they do not think about politics.” From the beginning, the park included restaurants, cafés, a theater, gardens and flower beds, a merry-go-round, and fanciful Oriental-style buildings.

                        In 1964, the Beatles played at Tivoli. Michael Jackson offered to buy it. Walt Disney once described the park as “happy, with an unbuttoned air,” and he borrowed heavily from its whimsy for Disneyland. Disney even told his wife, “Now this is what an amusement place should be!” But Tivoli is more tranquil than the Disney parks, perhaps more tranquil than any other theme park, full of cozy gardens and fountains and scattered benches.

Dæmonen (The Demon) roller coaster opened in 2004 and is one of the most expensive structures in the park. It is a floor-less coaster, which means that a rider’s legs dangle during the ride.

Tivoli is probably the most famous landmark in Copenhagen - if not in all of Denmark. In 1944, the Nazis attempted to burn it down. But the Danes rebuilt and reopened the park within weeks.

Urban self-reliance: Street fishing!

Over the last decade a lot of old trends, movements and virtues have had a radical make-over. People are moving into towns, big cities and capitals, at the same time it has become increasingly popular to be in touch with nature, to be self reliant and to less dependant on the supermarkets. City dwellers across the world have turned to urban farming - growing vegetables in unsual or unused city space, like on the picture below,

where Copenhageners are utilizing unsed plots left behind by the industry to grow tomatoes. Another idea have been window farming, where citizens grow herbs in their windows.

This re-invention of the being close to nature is not restricted to vegetables and herbs, for some this means having chickens in the yard behind apartment blogs, living off the bio waste the apartment blog produces, or even keeping bees on the roof! 

But it dosent stop here. Hunting have also been adapted to the city life. Of cause not hunting for buck or deer, first off there isnt a lot of those animals in the cities, and secondly it would be illegal and dangerous for us all. What we mean here is that city dwellers are taking back the streams, rivers and lakes which cities like Copenhagen are full off. This trend is known as 'Street Fishing' or 'Urban Fishing'.

In Copenhagen the municipality have spotted this trend and are supporting it by pointing out three places in Copenhagen where you are welcome to catch dinner (if you are that lucky), in Nordhavn, Lynetten and Slusen. Officially you are however required to have your paperwork in order. But a fishing license is easily bought online and prices start at 15kr (2Euro) which makes it affordable for everyone. It is however recommend that you only eat trout, garfish and cod as other types of fish may contain to high values of mercury. 

Some Copenhageners have taken it a step further and are fishing outside the law in the lakes and streams of Copenhagen, where the fish have been untouched for decades. It's both an accelerating and fascinating way of using the city and it's resources. The largest registered pike to date  was 10kg and caught just 300m from the main square in Copenhagen, Denmarks capital. To some extend it is amazing that you can catch such an ferocious killer just meters from your city apartment.

Perhaps it is time that the citizens take back their cities and utilize the resources that are right there on your doorstep.

Do something that do not matter or just kill the time!

Is your creativity or imagination for how to spend your day gone? - Here are some great ideas for how to use it wisely or perhaps not!

1. Exercising is always an option. By exercising, you'll kill the time while you remain healthy and feel great afterwards – Win-win! If you are not a member of a fitness club perhaps you can take a walk around “Søerne” or ride your bike through Copenhagen.

2. You’re not into exercising - fair enough! Perhaps you’ll rather use your time inside. Spend your time checking out nice and interesting sites at the Internet. You might get inspired to gain a new hobby. 3. We all know it. The next exam is just around the corner waiting for you. However, do not panic… If you do not know how to spend your day, look at it now. You’ll never lose by studying even more! 4. Who is saying that writing a diary isn’t funny! Waste of time, no. You might learn something by writing one.

5. Perhaps you have a hidden talent. Why not discover this by trying to complete it through a new interest. This could be painting, decorating or designing. Perhaps you’re tired of your old interest, now you have the opportunity for finding a new one instead.

6. Facebook will always be fun! Search after new groups to become a member of at Facebook. This is filled with fun and you’ll might discover some groups you could not imagine existed.

7. If you spend your time on Facebook anyway you could search after your old friends from your childhood you have searched for forever. Perhaps you get the opportunity for reviving the contact again!

8. Create your own blog! This is filled with fun and you are using a lot of time on creating one. Tell everybody about your interests and how much you care about them. Perhaps you can give others advise about your interests as well.

9. Spoil yourself! Give yourself a pedicure, put on a facemask, scrub of your skin and remove all dead skin cells, all wonderful things you do not have the time to do every day.
