Experience the young uncrowned dancehall prince of Denmark, KAKA with his buddies Donkey Sound Band at Kulturhuset Islands Brygge in Copenhagen. This concert will be filled with dancehall music combined with the tones of reggae.

Some of you might know him from his concert on Pavilion Junior at Roskilde Festivalen 2013 and several other concerts around Copenhagen e.g. Christiania or Donkey Club.

Worlds smallest hotel & cafe

Yes, it is true, things just are smaller in Copenhagen, Denmark. Today we managed to find not just a small hotel, but the worlds smallest hotel. The hotel is located in Copenhagens once rough 'red-light district', but now also trendy part of the city. The hotel offers just one room thay used to be a shoemakers old workshop. Today the room is now nicely decorated in true Scandinavian style.

Downstairs the hotel invites you inside the worlds smallest coffee cafe with room for just 5 seated guests.

Although small, the hotel & cafe offers a lot of "hygge" (cozy/niceness/warmth), definitely a must see when in Copenhagen, if not for the night, then at least for a cop of joe..!

In Cofoco’s basement you will experience a cosy atmosphere. The interior decoration provides the opportunity to eat privately or to mingle with the other guests. A long table with separating ‘’windows’’ is the setting for this charming opportunity. The food on their menu varies often and a course is approximately 75 DKK (4 courses 275 DKK) and the wine is at a reasonable price level as well.

Party like a rock star! - Free entre, cheap beer and loud music. Now it is time to jump around sweaty in Drone’s dark and crowded basement to the sound of underground music.  Drone is Nørrebronx answer to a night club and a must do in Copenhagen. Drinks are offered at a reasonable price and you can enjoy it while smoking (Beers 20-30 DKK and drinks 60-90 DKK). Upstairs you can take a break from the real party to cool down a bit.

Dupon: combined bar and pingpong = fun!

Dupon is inspired by a bar in Berlin and opened its doors in 2012. The bar offers a social atmosphere and it is hard not to meet new people in the game arena. If you are a bit rusty or a noob at playing pingpong it is possible to watch from the grand stand and maybe a few beers can help. The beer is cheap and bottled, but damn good classic beer.

We love to ride our bikes in Copenhagen!

Copenhagen is known as one of the most bike friendly towns in the world… Copenhagen consist of 650.000 bikes!

Every year is 1.27 mio. km biked on a daily basis in Copenhagen. Thus, 52% Copenhagener bikes every day to and from their job or school. Copenhagen offer the Copenhagener 359 km bike path. It is the fastest way to come through and around town and thereby the main reason for biking in Copenhagen. However, it is definitely the most convenient transportation as well as healthy and cheapest.

The only reason that holds back Copenhageners for leaving their bikes at home is the weather… The rain is not a popular factor for the biking people in Copenhagen!

Doing 'Hard time' In Copenhagen

Imprisonment is no joke! Being deprived our freedom, condemned to pay homage to the state - commonly manifested through 'doing hard time', or simply - You did something unacceptable, and now you have to go to jail!

When that is said, doing hard time carries quiet different consequences around the world. As I am sure many of you can tell me horror stories about jail in your home country - and we could probably agree that the American prisons are to over crowded, the Thai prisons makes your skin crawl, and that is no picnic doing jail time anywhere... Or is it? When it all comes down to it this remains a matter of perspective - what you consider horrific, others consider a natural and ordinary part of life, right? Let's try and put things in perspective Commiting a minor crime in Copenhagen carries the risk of landing you in jail - no different that anywhere else right? Should you land jail time in here in Copenhagen you might just end up in Vestre Fængesel.

Here you will pay your depth society with 429 other inmates. You days and nights are can be spend in one-man cells with TV's, consoles and MUST haves for a modern Danish inmate doing hard time. Should you get tired of playing Skyrim on your Playstation you can always visit the newly renovated fully equipped hospital, which can handle all potential medical attention a modern citizen in the affluent world could ever imagine. If you not sick, but just want to lose those extra pounds, why not visit the prisons dietitian and have a customized food plan made for you. You could always just visit the new gym, or get some physical education, or even take that degree in law you never had time to take on the outside... and hell, of cause it's all free.. or well, the Danish taxpayer is your sugar daddy. You might be thinking the Danish inmates are rather spoiled, you might think to yourself "if I am going to commit a crime, why not in Copenhagen?" Let me just put things in perspective- You all remember Anders Breivik who brutally murdered 69 people near Oslo in 2011 - He is currently serving his 21year sentence in Norway. Recently Breivik demanded that his Playstation 2 was upgraded to a Playstation 3, and that he should have access to more games - If his demands are not meet he will commence a hunger strike.....

Why Danes don't give a F*** about Valentine's Day!

First of all it is quite naive to believe that Valentine's Day is celebrated around the world. If you're good in history and religion then you should also know that Valentine's Day is named for a Christian martyr and dates back to the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia. However, this is not why Danes don't celebrate the 14th of February every year. It's simply because they just don't give a freaking f***!Believe it or not Danes are some of the most modern-nationalistic people in the world, and that is mostly in terms of economy. What in the hell does Valentine's day have to do with economy? Yeah, trust me it's all about economy, and not only Valentine's day - but many other commercial rituals.  It is common sense to believe that commercialization has its roots in the capitalistic societies - usually stemming from US global market strategies. However, not all commercial rituals have had success in entering the Danish borders, and Valentine's Day is one of them. Despite the fact that The Netherlands time after time have tried to promote Valentine's Day in Europe, due to their economic interest on the flower export, they have continuously failed to target the Danish lovers.  After all, the weather in Denmark is too cold in February for flowers to survive!
