Insil stepped out of the forge and smiled at Maglor. "Are you looking for your father? He's with Lord Aule."
“Alright” Maglor acknowledged her, bowing slightly. He had been sent by his mother to remind Fëanor that he had promised to watch the twins, and he knew that if he returned without passing the message to his father he would have to face her wrath. “Do you know how long they will be?”
She shook her head. “No,” Insil said. “They could be hours, or just a few minutes. Depends on how fast your father loses his infamous temper.”
“Grand” He muttered sarcastically, eyebrows drawing together with irritation. Gathering his manners he looked back up at the Maia, smiling politely. “Thank you for your time.” Maglor said sincerely “Is there anyplace that I could sit and wait for him?”
She frowned and thought for a moment, then shrugged. “If you like,” she offered, running her fingers though her hair. “Follow me.”
Not knowing where else to take him she led him through the yard to the garden. “Here,” Insil muttered, lifting a potted plant of a bench. “Careful, he bites.“
“He does what?!” Maglor asked, looking at the plant warily. Biting his lip he took a step back “Actually” He continued “Why does the plant even have a gender?”
She laughed, throwing her head back. “There’s the girl,” she said, pointing to a plant farther away. “Careful, she won’t just bite, she’ll eat you.”
