Aka, how White dies in the AU where the Among Us show cast are in my Among Us lore
Ah, what a wonderful day! Thatâs what White was thinking. After winning a free trip to an adventure in space, meeting the crew, and settling in perfectlyâeven if there was a minor hiccup in StorageâWhite couldnât be happier! It would be an adjustment, not having any of his familyâs many helpers, but he was up to the challenge! This was supposed to be a fun vacation after all!
There was some kind of party going on in the cafeteria, and White stuck around for a few minutes, but it was so dull! No fancy decorations, no proper hors d'oeuvres, there wasnât even any alcohol! How can you have a party without champagne!? Finding no reason to stick around, White quickly left the party when no one was looking. He didnât even really consider it a party. Instead, he found himself wandering around the ship. Taking in the scale of it all privately, now that the proper tour was over.
Currently, White stood in the Storage bay. Humming casually as he examined some Ore+. They were so interesting. So dull and bland to look at, yet they had the most fascinating of textures. Smooth yet bumpy, cold and with tiny ridges. Truthfullyâand rather embarrassinglyâthis was the first time White had ever held a rock before. And he wanted to make the most of it. Brushing it against the back of his hand, turning it over again and again, tossing it between his hands a few times. He even thought of intentionally dropping it, before a voice suddenly cut through the silence.
âWhat are you doing here?â
It came from behind White, and he could tell that whoever it was was not happy. Turning around, White was surprised to see that unpaid intern, standing alone andâŠglaring at him.
âOh, hello there. Green was it? What brings you here?â
White asked curiously, still fidgeting with the ore in his hands. Green just narrowed their visor, stepping forward.
âI should be asking you that question.â
They responded, hands clenched into loose fists.
âWhat are you doing here?â
The intern repeated, stopping just a couple feet in front of White. Who seemed rather confused.
âIâŠIâm sorry? I thought you already knew, Iâm the-â
âI know about the stupid contest!â
Green exclaimed, cutting White off.
âI mean you shouldnât be here! Not with me!â
White blinked.
âDo youâŠknow me?â
He asked, tilting his upper body curiously. Green flinched, stepping back with a flicker of something almost like fear in their eye, as White caught sight of something hidden beneath the internâs hoodie. Just on their right side near the front. Without asking permission, White reached a hand out and pulled the hood down. Green flinched again when he did that, tensing up, as Whiteâs eye widened. Seeing a brand on Greenâs body. Depicting a rose wrapped around a medicine bottle.
âOhâŠâ
White murmured, pulling their hand back as Green quickly lifted their hoodie back up. Covering the brand once again. The internâs expression was one of terror, their body trembling slightly, as they stared at White. A tense moment of silence passed, where neither said a word. Before White suddenly spoke up:
âIrish!â
He exclaimed, lighting up and jumping forward. Forgetting the Ore+, and letting it clatter to the floor, as he gave Green a big hug.
âMy parents have been looking everywhere for you, theyâve been worried sick! After you disappeared during that storm, I was afraid Iâd never see you again! Iâm so happy I found you! Iâm gonna take you home once this is all over, and you can get back to work at the mansion! Iâm sure my parents will be ticked at you for running off though, and I really donât under-â
White was cut off mid-sentence. As Green suddenly shoved him back, claws unsheathed as they slashed across Whiteâs front. Severing open his throat, and causing blood to spill out of his body. The wet warm liquid coating Greenâs fingers, and running down Whiteâs body, as he stood there. Stunned into shocked silence. Greenâs face was one of panic and terror, breathing heavily, and frozen in place. White gurgled something incomprehensible, before instinct took over and he quickly turned, sprinting away while Green stood there. Still staring blankly ahead at nothing. Before suddenly blinking rapidly, clarity returning to their eye. Green looked down at their bloodstained fur, at the claws that had just fatally wounded WhiteâŠBefore they parted their lips, letting their tongue brush against their fingers. Lapping up the blood before they wiped the saliva off against their hoodie.
Green then turned, and calmly walked back to the cafeteria.

Yapping about my Among Us OC AU just because I can
First weâll be discussing how Impostors work! The basic life cycle of an Impostor can be broken up into three different phases, Minis, Juveniles, and Adults. Minis are the ages between 0 and 50, Juveniles are the ages between 50 and 150, and from 150 onwards towards 300 is considered Adult. The same basic principle applies to Crewmates as well, though they consider themselves to be adults much sooner. At 100 instead of 150.
Impostors and Crewmates are closely related biologically speaking, so much so that they are even compatible with each other! Sharing a common ancestor on what is considered the home planet of Impostors. A planet where its surface is unbearably hot, with red rocky cliffs, rivers of lava instead of water, and temperatures that melt most standard exploration ships. Which is why not much is currently known about the planet. But what Crewmates do know is that the Impostors of their home world are very different from the Impostors they encounter during missions. Letâs take a look:
Now typically, Impostors can be divided into two categories. Feral, and Civil. Above is a picture of a âcivilâ Impostor. These individuals typically have well groomed fur, walk mostly upright, and are capable of speaking the same language as their Crewmate counterparts. They rely on their intelligence and silver tongue more than their physical strength, and take great care to maintain their appearance. In order to look more like Crewmates.
Between the two categories, all Impostors contain jagged mouths with sharp, hardened lips. Much like the rows of sharp teeth that lay in their mouths. An Impostorâs tongue can extend up to the full length of their body from head to toe (typically three feet), and is pointed at the tip. Making it easy to skewer. The pouch on their back is used to house four retractable tentacles, which coil inside of them when not in use. These tentacles can reach up to seven feet long, and are coated in a clear slime-like substance, which is glossy and slippery when in movement. But becomes incredibly sticky when stationary. Some companies have taken to using it in their glue products.
An Impostorâs upper paws contain soft padding that is covered with a rough, sandpaper like layer of protection. These pads serve no purpose to most Civil Impostors, and they tend to ignore them. Which can lead to injuries and even infection, which gets them found out when their hands are examined. As doing so will reveal their claws. Which are typically retracted, but can be forced out with a gentle squeeze of the paw. The claws are extremely dense, and incredibly sharp. Having a bit of a natural curve to them, and giving them an almost hook-like appearance, which makes them exceptionally skilled at climbing. A skill that is usually more used by Feral ImpostorsâŠ
Feral Impostors are a much different beast to their Civil counterparts. Unlike what most crews would encounter, these Impostors live exclusively on their home planet; HGXLY7, more commonly known as Helliar, or Land of Fire. Due to the extremely high temperatures on the planetâs surface, exclusively rocky environment, and rivers of lava instead of water flowing across the land, most Crewmates wonder how any kind of life can survive such a planet. The answer lies below the surface. For while the top most layers of the planet are wholly uninhabitable, the many caves below are teeming with life. One such species being Feral Impostors.
Feral Impostors typically live in packs of around seven to ten members, the numbers fluctuating depending on the local terrain and the individual members. They are incapable of speech, and instead communicate through a myriad of different sounds. Chirps, clicks, purrs, growls, screeches, hisses, etc. They donât tend to worry much about maintaining a clean appearance, due to living in areas with such low visibility. And also because they donât have to worry about hiding their true nature, as Crewmates have failed to create lasting stations on their planet, and have not even attempted such a thing.
Feral Impostorsâand Impostors in generalâhave a very limited reproduction rate. Many families having difficulties birthing litters, and only managing to get one or two, three if theyâre lucky. Because of this, Impostors are hardwired to nurture and take care of Minis. Even Mini Crewmates. Often taking in and adopting lost Minis when they cannot have their own biological family.
The different ways Impostors raise their young varies by the individual. But it can generally be divided between the two categories. For Civil Impostors, the things they find most important to teach are stealth and manipulation tactics. Teaching Minis how to blend in and take after their caretakers. Several Crewmates who have been raised by Impostors use these skills to become successful criminals, adopting the mannerisms of their caretakers, even though they arenât the same species.
Feral Impostors however, focus more on teaching hunting and battle skills. Giving their young compacted balls of moss, which are filled with microorganisms, both as a source of food and for target practice. Feral Mini Impostors will often have mock fights, tumbling around and hitting each other with their underdeveloped claws. Which are too short and too soft to do damage yet. As they grow however, a Feral Impostorâs diet slowly changes from the moss balls of the past, to half-pre-chewed bloody meats, to fresh carcasses.
The reason why for this is because when an Impostor is born, their mouths are soft, and they have a distinct lack of teeth. Instead having squishy malleable lips. But as they grow, their lips begin to harden and gain the jagged appearance their kind is known for. Their teeth growing in at roughly the same time. However some Impostorâs never grow teeth, and thus are often kicked out when they mature. Either to go find a new pack to join, start one from scratch, or survive solo.
The general reputation of Impostors is one of cold, heartless, bloodthirsty killers. And while a number of them do fit this stereotype, itâs not a universal trait. They are carnivorous creatures, not murderous creatures. Though due to many long term missions not carrying a consistent supply of live animals, unless they are planetary outposts, Impostors are left with little options in terms of nutritional meals. Resorting to either eating the crew, or gaining health issues due to eating the food prepared for Crewmates. Which is often considered junk food to an Impostorâs system, or is just simply useless.
A few organizations have been working to help Impostors, giving them safe places to live, items to aid them in self-care, and other such necessities. But these are few and far between, and garner a negative reputation from the public for âsympathizing with monstersâ. So progress is quite slowâŠ
Firstly, THEY ARE NOT PLANTS. Thereâs no flower genitals, no pods, no none of that. They got the same parts as you and me, they are not plants. You want the flowers, go look somewhere else.
Now, what Crewmates ARE are mammals. Just like Impostors, they have a 300 year lifespan, but they consider themselves adults at the age of 100 instead of an Impostorâs 150 like I mentioned previously. The reason why Crewmates consider themselves adults much sooner is because they have a very strong work-focused culture. They like to do tasks, they like to build, they like to do sweaty labor in the blistering sun because it makes them feel fulfilled. Crewmates. Love. To work!
Because of this, they also do a lot of extraterrestrial exploration. And because theyâre going through space a lot, they (along with Impostors) have very adaptive bodies. Their organs adjust easily to pressure changes, they can breathe all sorts of different types of oxygen and gases, and they can very well scuba dive to depths that would make a humanâs body collapse.
Now for some differences between Crew and Imps. Unlike Impostors, Crewmates donât have tentacles. They donât have claws, they have much shorter and softer fur, and most distinctly: They do not have mouths. Literally, it is just a flat surface. Which begs two questions; how do they eat? And whatâs with the backpacks?
Well to answer that first question, we need to establish that a Crewmate-and by extension an Impostorâs-visor is their eye. It is a purely organic piece, with glass-like properties, but it is not glass. It just mimics glass. Why? Who knows. But while Impostors can simply open their mouths to eat, CrewmatesâŠhave a much riskier method that they have to take. As the nerves that connect their eye to their brainâŠcan be temporarily detached from their visor. And during that time, the visor can be removed. Revealing that directly behind said visor is their throat. The nerves go around the throat so they arenât disturbed, but while they are deactivated, the Crewmate is blind until they put their visor back on. As such, most Crewmates eat privately. Only eating in front of people they 100% trust. To see a Crewmate eating in front of you means that they essentially trust you with their life.
Now for the second question, just like with Impostors, the backpack a Crewmate wears isnât a backpack. Itâs a part of them. But with no tentacles being housed inside, what is inside that pouch of flesh? Lungs, kidneys, liver, and their heart. Pretty much any organ not their stomach essentially, which leaves a lot of space for their stomach. Which makes it a lot bigger, and more expandable. Which essentially combined with a lack of teeth means that Crewmates entirely eat their foods whole.
Also they tend to not be very good cooks, because they canât taste anything.
Reproductive wise, Crewmates repopulate like fucking rabbits. They can pop out Minis in litters of 5, 6, 7, 8, sometimes even 9 or 10! Due to this, Crewmates tend to be a bit more careless with their young. They still love their babies, of course! But thereâs a subconscious part of them underlying that love with the knowledge that âone or two lost wonât impact the litter all that muchâ. Itâs not something they think intentionally, itâs just nature. Crewmates have such an easy time reproducing after all.
Speaking of their young, a Crewmates education system is comparable to that of humans. Wake up early, go to school, go home, have a couple hours of free time, go to sleep, repeat until graduation. However unlike our education system, the lessons tend to be more hands-on as the Crewmates grow up. During the first 15 years of education, thereâs a lot of paperwork. Learning how to read, write, socialize, all that typical stuff. Afterwards though, thereâs a shift. The desks and chairs slowly getting removed with classes outside that teach you gardening, artificial caves to teach you how to mine precious ores, how to fix wires, how to unclog pipes, what to do in a hostile situation.
Crewmates are taught basically every task possible before graduation, making them all âjack of all tradesâ types. Then they can pursue a more specialized education on the fields they found more enjoyable, or join a crew as a low level intern and see where they go from there. Most Crewmates tend to leave the nest early, even moving away to entirely different planets. Due to this, Crewmates can be found basically wherever. Several entire colonies even not settling down at all and simply living in the stars.
But there is one organization that almost all Crewmates bow to. A company that has essentially funded the entire species for centuries. MIRA. A science and exploration based company, MIRA is responsible for virtually 99.99% of every ship that Crewmates send into space. They fund virtually every lab, every outpost, every school, every colony, where Crewmates go MIRAâs influence follows. To the point where theyâve even become a sort of government for Crewmates.
And whether or not you think thatâs a bad thingâŠis not my place to decide.
Edit: Forgot to mention, but during heat cycles a Crewmateâs reproductive organs will literally shift and move through their bodies into the necessary positions. So uhâŠtake from that what you will.
Look if Iâm gonna be physically and mentally consumed by an alien parasite, theyâre gonna inherit my lack of interest in self care, and my undying love for sodium, and theyâre gonna have to just deal with it. Because a world without salt is not a world worth living in, and theyâll learn it real quick
Among Us slice of life with horror elements swap AU
Basic premise is that while Green was fully assimilated upon infection, the parasite who infected Orange isnât strong enough to fully take over a host. Instead merging with the hostâs consciousness, and essentially becoming said host. Orange is the main planner in the AU, but instead of killing everyone, opts for a more âmercifulâ route of instead personally infecting everyone. Nobody technically dies, they get to make more Impostors, and Green gets to have fun luring people to Orange! Win for everyone! Except for the whole luring, forcibly infecting, alien transformation, and merging of alien and crewmate mindsâŠ
Closest to a win the crew can get, so they take it! Not like they have much of a choice
White was the first to turn, his wine having been poisoned. Due to it being distilled in a substance that already affects the brain, White took the longest to convert. Fully turning a week later.
Orange waited until Blue had fallen asleep, before directly removing a piece of one of their tentacles. It came alive, and slithered inside under Blueâs visor. They woke up turned.
Green was getting irritated due to the lack of deaths, so they cornered Lime in the reactor room and tried to kill them the same way Orange did in the original show. Luckily, Orange was able to get Green away from Lime before the engineer popped like a balloon. But at the cost of accidentally revealing their true nature. They swore to the crew they had no murderous intentions, and voted alongside them to eject Green. Lime woke up two days later turned.
Cyan was lured into Electrical by Orange during a freak power outage, and Orange asked Cyan if they trusted her. Cyan said yes, and Orange asked them to turn around for a second. When they complied, Cyan felt a sharp pain in the back of their head, but felt nothing upon checking. They asked Orange what happened, but it didnât answer. Cyan turned just minutes later.
Brown and Yellow were turned together when after they made a pizza just for themselves, Orange carefully removed the salt, before lacing it with parasitic goo. Neither of the chefs noticed until half of the pizza was gone, but by the time they did, it was too late. They were already turned.
Black was turned similarly to how they died. After having so many successful conversions under their belt, Orange decided to indulge in a bit of a chase, as a reward to themself. Before cornering Black in the cafeteria, and infecting them. The geologist turned instantly.
Purple and Red, much like Brown and Yellow, were converted at the same time. However unlike in the show, the crew did not surround and force them down. Instead, Orange finally came clean to them in Storage. Explaining their entire plan, and that everyone else was already infected, so there was no point in resisting. The two tried to get rid of Orange, but without knowing that salt was their weakness, Orange was able to overpower the two. Infecting them simultaneously, before letting them run. They turned an hour later.
Ghosts in this AU are a well documented, and well accepted part of life. During the early days of [REDACTED] society, long before [REDACTED], ghosts were seen as an impossibility. Just a fairy tale meant to comfort Minis who missed their dead loved ones. But after those with the Ability to see and interact with ghosts began to show evidence of their powers, word quickly spread that perhaps ghosts werenât made up after allâŠIt took several more years and a lot of research for the concept to really sink in, but over the centuries, ghosts have essentially become an integral part of society. Many with the Ability to interact with ghosts even using their power for a job. Helping families connect with their lost loved ones, or passing on messages the dead never got a chance to say.
One of the most recent discoveries, relatively, is an ability that ghosts themselves naturally have. After discovering that Crewmate ghosts can still perform tasks, and Impostor ghosts can still do sabotages, some wondered if there was a way to interact with organic matter. Thus, the concept of Turning was discovered. When a ghost absorbs themself into a living being, transforming their body to match what species the ghost was in life. This is a transformation entirely unique to Crewmates and Impostors, and can only be done with a living and dead of different species. An Impostor can absorb into and transform a Crewmate, but they cannot absorb into a fellow Impostor. Additionally, during those few seconds of transformation, the body houses both spirits at the same time. But this is unsustainable, so a conflict is necessarily begun. And whoever wins this struggle, will permanently dissolve the opposing soul. Making them unable to escape the body and join the afterlife.
Cases of this phenomenon are extremely rare, but itâs theorized that many who transform simply do not report it. Instead hiding their changed nature so as not to be taken by MIRA HQ scientists, who have begun performing strange experiments involving Impostor ghostsâŠ
