Greetings, Inspiring Beings! It has certainly been an interesting time. I have been editing videos for several months on projects that I am so excited to share with you very soon. It has been something else to construct visual poetry to assist in bringing new music out into the world. During that time, I also received an offer to film a Queerstock Cabaret and Dance Party. It was highly meaningful to be there and document that experience. I grew up in the extremely homophobic Midwest, and often feared for my personal well being because of my sexual orientation. Since the time I relocated, I have been so grateful and amazed that who I am and who I love is highly celebrated in the area. I went to my first Pride Parade last summer, and now my first Queerstock. Every once and awhile, I’ll get this strange feeling like I’m occupying the thin veil between two realms, past and present. It’s a powerful juxtaposition and teaches me many things. Here is the teaser I put together with the footage from that night. I am grateful to every set of hands and minds that came together to make this night possible and shed sparkle into the LGBTQ community: Anne Bloom (Annabelle) Denise Parent Missy Mister Frank Sinatra Bonnie Anne Clyde and Handy Man Jay Lady Alchemy DJ Prephab Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center You guys are amazing and thank you again for the amazing time.
