He only agreed to go because it would get Connie and Reiner off his back. He only agreed because they guilted him into coming along. He only agreed because they practically dragged him out of their apartment. Jean never really liked the club scene; it was always too loud, too crowded, and someone always managed to puke on his shoes, however Connie and Reiner didn’t want him to be the loser that sat inside on a Friday when he could be out “getting some.” But instead of sitting on the couch watching whatever was on TV, he was sitting at some sticky table, watching the other two’s drinks while sipping his own. He was ready to leave, but he knew he had to make sure the other two idiots made it home alright. Jean sat back in the booth with a sigh.
“Hopefully they want to leave soon…” He muttered to himself. He pulled out his phone in an attempt to full his boredom. No new messages. No new notifications. “Of course…”
“Jean! Jean come here!” he heard a familiar voice yell. He looked up to see Connie, face flushed from the alcohol.
“Connie, I’m not interested in dancing or whatever the fuck you want to drag me into now.” Jean sighed angrily.
“Come on. I want you to meet someone.”
“Not interested.”
“Fine.” Connie said, sounding defeated. Jean smirked at the small victory, though it was short lived. “I’ll just bring her over here.”
“Uggh Connie just leave me be…” He groaned but to no avail. The boy turned and disappeared into the mass of sweaty dancing people and returned moments later with a girl in tow. “Here, talk to her!” Connie yelled, pushing the girl toward the table before disappearing again.
Jean studied at the girl, giving her the angry eyes that were directed at Connie, causing her to step back. She had long auburn hair that was drawn up into a pony tail with a curl in it. Her eyes were this dark, chocolaty brown. She had a thin silver necklace with a small bow and arrow pendant that sat over her breasts. Her dress was a dark blue and fitted her form nicely. She was stunning to say the least. He felt like a bum looking at her; with his jeans and his old sneakers.
“I’m Sasha.” She yelled over the music, smiling. Wow, her smile. Jean was completely flustered.
“A-ah Jean.” He said, holding his hand out. She shook it. “Its ah nice to meet you.”
“Yeah, same to you.” She responds, taking a seat next to him. “What brings you here?”
“Well, you saw him. They wouldn’t let me stay home.” He explained, slowly starting to feel more comfortable with her. He opened his mouth to ask her a question, but he was quickly cut off.
“Oh! This is a great song!” She cried, her eyes lighting up. She grabbed his arm and pulled him out of his chair. “Come dance with me.” She insisted as she continued to drag him onto the dance floor. Jean was still dumbfounded as he looked over his shoulder at their drinks. “Don’t you dare look back, here, just keep your eyes on me.” She instructed, taking his hand as she started to dance around him. He listened, watching her shake her hips, as she shifted her feet forward and back, smiling up at him. Her eyes, Jean just couldn’t move past her eyes. They seemed so bright, so full of life; he couldn’t help but return the smile. She grabbed his other hand and pulled him a bit closer, obviously trying to get him to join her.
“I think you’re holding back on me.” He joked with her. She gave him a light smack on his shoulder.
