Compositing! Bringing in all the assets needed for each animation together. Majority of motion in the assets were edited in After Effects, then imported through H2654 exports and formatted to their correct dimensions to be ready to be projected for installation day. After the moving assets were imported backgrounds were placed in.
We had quite a bit of trouble figuring out how to get certain animations to be exported into transparent PNG sequences, however after fixing this issue we started piecing the scenes together.
As final touches we added painting frames to the animations that will be projected and added a canvas texture to all of the animations for a painterly appeal, this was applied with linear burn in the blend modes in Premiere Pro.
As a final edit, we added a glitching VHS effect to the ending of each sequence in order to amplify the panic of the alarm at the end of the first room.
For each sequence, we added a 1-minute timer at the front of each clip with 10-second intervals in order to account for the delay of clicking play on each device. This was to ensure they all played in sync.
After this, we linked up all the sound to the couple/ lady painting animation sequence as this would be presented from the main room's computer, and added voice lines to the greyhound animation so it would play in proximity to the animation. - Bri
