NASA TESS successful launch on April 18 after temporary delay.
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket successful put the Transitioning Exoplanet Survey Satellite into a special elliptical, high Earth orbit. TESS ushers in a new era in the search and study of exoplanets.

The new exoplanet hunting space satellite TESS is scheduled to launch on Monday. The new NASA satellite will replace the dying Kepler/K2 satellite telescope which revolutionized hunting and understanding exoplanets. TESS may bring about another exoplanet discovery revolution. According to the NASA exoplanet website the current total number of 3717 confirmed exoplanets with a majority of these confimations as well as the 4,496 candidate planets being discovered by the Kepler/K2 mission.
3600 American military personnel arrive in Jordan amid highten tension with Syria, Russia and Iran.
A total of 3600 American military personnel, 2500 Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, are now in Jordan for a two week joint training operation called Eager Lion. The Marines from the 26th MEU had been training in Israel since early April. The training operation last year occurred close to the boarder of Syria.
The deployment of additional American forces comes as tension in the region continues to escalate. The US intends to punish Russia with more sanctions on Monday for supporting the Syrian government. The USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) Strike group is also heading towards the region.
Russia has warned of consequence for the US strike. This could include supplying the Syrian government with S-300 or potentially S-400 systems. Russia operates S-400 defense systems in Syria current but only to protect it own personnel at 2 military bases.

US to impose further sanctions against Russia on Monday.
Russia faces a fresh round of sanctions from the United States for its support of the Syrian government after the alleged chemical weapons attack on April 7. The US asserts that the Syrian government was behind the attack and has "evidence" to prove this point but cannot release it. The OPCW, and international organization, arrived in Syria on Saturday to conduct an investigation to the attack.
The last round of sanctions against Russia occurred on April 6 and it targeted 38 individuals and companies. The sanctions have had a notable effect on the Russian economy. Russia has said it is ready to respond with counter sanctions of its own. This would include the restriction of numerous american imports and terminating international cooperation with the American companies involved in the production of nuclear power, aircraft manufacturing and collaboration on building rocket engines.

29th meeting of the Arab League occured on Sunday in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia hosted the 29th summit of the Arab League amid growing tension in the region. At the meeting Saudi Arabia blamed Iran for destabilizing the region with its involvement in the Syrian war and allegedly arming the Yemen Houthis.
The strikes on Syria by the United States, the U.k. and France was not addressed by King Salman of Saudi Arabia in his opening remarks. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar supported the strikes while other members voiced concern and urged deescalation.
One situation widely agreed upon was the opposition to the decision by the United States to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. King Salman pledged $150 million to preserve the Al-Aqsa mosque and other Islamic holy sites in East Jerusalem. An additional $50 million was pledged to help fund relief agencies after the US slashed its funding.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas harshly criticized president Trumps decisions to move its embassy and slash much need funding to UN relief agencies. He made it clear that the US was not an objective mediator but part of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Presdient Putin stated that Russia is ready to develop cooperation with the arab league.

“The cold war is back with a vengeance”- UN secretary general Antonio Guterres.
On April 13, the UN Secretary General stated during an emergency UNSC meeting called by to session by the Russian Federation that "The Cold War is back — with a vengeance but with a difference. The mechanisms and the safeguards to manage the risks of escalation that existed in the past no longer seem to be present." His remarks came to a close by cautioning "This is exactly the risk we face today – that things spiral out of control. It is our common duty to stop it."
On April 14, The UNSC was again called for an emergency session after the United States, United Kingdom and France launched an overnight military attack against the Syrian government. The UN Secretary General again stressed to the Security Council, 4 of the 5 permenant members are directly involved in the Syrian conflict, cautioned that the situation in Syria is "Spiraling out of control."
OPCW Fact Finding Mission arrived Damascus to investigate the April 7 Douma attack.
The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) fact finding mission personnel have arrived in Damascus, Syria. The investigation centers on the April 7, 2018 Douma chemical weapon attack.
The United States claims to have evidence that the Syrian government is fully responsible for the attack. This unknown evidence provided justification for the US, UK and France to conduct massive military strikes on the Syrian government. Russia has countered it has proof that the chemical attack was not done by the Syrian government it supports. Their evidence claims the UK and others are responsible for the attack as it gave new life to justify military action in Syria.
Despite what any side claims or "evidence" they posses, the OPCW is tasked to objectively investigate the attack. This includes the number of victims, symptoms, environmental contamination, type of chemicals utilized, the delivery method and what party involved would have the means to conduct such an attack.

Transitioning Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) April 16 launch.
Developed by NASA, TESS will replace the Kepler/K2 mission and usher in a new era of exoplanet discovery. The mission of TESS is to monitor 200,000 stars over a 2 year period. It will search for Earth to gas giant sized planets. A Space X Falcon 9 rocket, launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, will put the satellite into a special type of highly elliptical, High Earth Orbit ranging between 67,000 miles and 232,000 miles.
The Kepler/K2 mission is expected to end operations within a few months. The Kepler mission launched in 2009. In May of 2013, After repairs had to be made it continued operations under the designation of K2. This space satellite vastly increased our understanding of exoplanets and is responsible for a majority of all confirmed and candidate planets discovered. Over 2,300 confirmed exoplanet have been discovered by the Kepler/K2 mission as of March 2018.
Total number of 3,717 exoplanets have been confirmed, according to NASA, as of April 14, 2018. Another 4,496 candidate exoplanets await further observation and confirmation.

88,000 year old fossilized finger human finger found in Saudi Arabia
In 2016 a fossilized human finger was discovered in Saudi Arabia. Testing has put the approximate age of the fossil at 88,000 years. In 2017, a homo sapiens jawbone and tools discovered in Israel where dated to be between 177,000 and 194,000 years old. The discoveries have enhanced our understanding to the timeline of Homo Sapiens exodus from early Africa. Remains found in Morocco in 2017 have also challenged our conventional understanding of early humans. The fossilized skull found in Jebel Irhound is approximately 300,000 years old and the oldest fossil of Homo Sapiens to date. The discovery questions the East Africa emergence of humans.

Mass shooting incidents are a serious problem in the United States today. A great problem is that we as a society are unable to formulate nonpolitical solutions to address this issue. Contrary to conventional wisdom, solutions are available which are not based on political ideology. These solutions are available by utilizing a massive database which details an extensive amount of incidents and variables. Below is the intelepoch database.
Mass Shootings are defined, for the purpose of this database, as any incident involving four or more casualties. one reason for this definition is that certain firearms may be able to injure upwards of three people with a single round. these incidents are omitted because the intention of the shooter and capability of the firearm are two of, but not the only, variable to analyze. An accidental discharge, for example, into a high density of personnel can cause several injuries.
To cast a wide net, the database will ideally stretch back 30 years, from 1988-2018. This time frame covers multiple presidencies, laws passed and revoked, economic fluctuations, massive shifts in global affairs, rapidly changes in technology, and much more.
The following questions are all crucial to answer. Its not enough to gather the information over a rather large period. We must extract as many variables as possible from each incident. There are six sections, each with its own questions.
Incident:
Date (Day/Month/Year).
Location (state, county, city/town, address).
Duration of incident.
Number of shooters and number of on-scene accomplices.
Number of firearms utilized.
Type of firearms utilized (rifle, shotgun, pistol).
Number of people in the area at the start of the incident.
Number of casualties. (Those killed and injured.)
Total number of victims (Ex: Grieving family members and friends. Those who developed psychological issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD.)
How did the incident end? What happened to the shooter(s)?
Location:
Indoors or outside?
Did location provide shooter(s) or victims with the ability to utilize cover and/or concealment?
Average distance between shooter(s) and victims (in S.I.)?
Did location provide the victims the ability to flee or trap them?
Was location clearly designated as a gun free zone?
Was location a educational institution (private, public,ect), residential area, urban area, religious facility, government facility (what level of government and function), medical facility, financial institution, Legal (police station, court house, law firm), Dining facility.
Shooter(s):
Number of shooters and accomplice?
Personal information: Name, age, race, sexual identification, religion, occupation, education, personality type (introvert or extrovert), financial history and criminal history.
Health of shooter(s), any medical history, medications prescribed, time spent in hospitals, any known mental or physical issues? Did others know of such conditions?
Body type/ build of the shooter(s)? any body modifications such as tattoos, scars or piercings? If yes, relevance/ importance to shooter?
Upbringing: family status, number of parents/ guardians. Number of brothers and/or sisters? Where did shooter place in birth order? Relationship with extended family?
Where was shooter(s) raised? Class status of family? Living conditions?
How did shooter interact with others in early child hood? Relationship with animals? Mistreatment or abuse of family pets?
Did shooter(s) escape, surrender, become injured or incapacitated, or die?
If shooter(s) died, was it due to suicide, police actions or actions of victims?
Did the shooter(s) have any personnel relation with any of the victims? If so describe relationship: friend, family, acquaintances, place of employment, rival, professional.
Why was the location chosen? Was the shooter familiar with the location?
Was the shooting premeditated or spontaneous?
Was a motive established? Was the shooting in response to an event or situation?
Clothing and accessories worn or brought to location by shooter(s)? Describe clothing and accessories. Be sure to include color, material, any symbols or logo, how the clothing fit and if clothing would reasonably be considered out of season.
Was a tactical vest utilized? If yes, was it ballistic? Was ballistic vest home made or purchased? To what degree did this provide protection? Was it a mollee capable vest? If so, what gear was attached?
Did the shooter(s) wear gloves, face mask, glasses/goggles, backpack, assault pack, hydration system, utility belt, leg rigs, holsters, carrying cases or communication equipment (radio, telephone). If yes to any, describe make, model, size, color, weight, placement, how it was utilized and what impact it possibly had on incident.
Did shooter(s) rely on a high volume of fire or take deliberate shots?
Did the shooter(s) utilize hip fire or shoulder fire (loose or tight)?
Activities the week prior to shooting? Did shooter(s) purchase weapons, ammunition or other material? Did shooter or any of those involved conduct reconnaissance over location? If recon conducted, was it done in person or via online means? was there any posting to social media or warning to local officials by friends, family, counselor, teachers or anyone else?
Any tactics utilized? surprise, elevations, speed, chaos, aggressive violence of action, stealth, deceit (use a fire alarm to draw out victims, or use insurgent style tactics of blending in with others until a certain time) or complex attacks (use of bombs, fields of fire, optimizing terrain and/or structure to amplify casualties) used?
Demeanor during incident? Calm, nervous, sweating, shaking, shouting, calculating, fumbling, eyes wide opened or closed, eyes bloodshot, smiling, crying, lost of balance or unable to control bowels?
Known affiliations to any organization, social group, tribe, gang, political party, religious group (specific)? Online presence? be sure to include all platforms, post, followers, who and what shooter(s) followed, subscribed to, liked, and any comments.
Firearms:
Number of firearms accessible by shooter(s) during incident?
Did shooter(s) legally own firearm(s)? If so, when and where was each firearm purchased? Also include cost, tax and if purchased with cash or credit.
If not legally obtained how was firearm accessed? Family member, friend, stolen, traded, bought illegally?
Action of firearm(s): Automatic, Semi-Auto, bolt, pump, lever, break, double, muzzle loader or other?
Type of weapon(s): Rifle (long or carbine), shotgun, and/or pistol.
Make/model/variation of firearms? Color and composition (wood, steel, plastic, ect.) be sure to include serial number.
Did the weapons have any modifications or attachments? Such as forward grip, bipods, tripod, bump stock, collapsible, folding or fixed stock, flashlight, laser, pressure switch, modified charging handle, muzzle break, heat shield, shell catchers, silencer, flash suppressor, custom grip, optics (iron sights, CQB, holographic, enhanced zoom, magnification (to what degree), NV, Thermal) or any other type of modification or attachment?
Did the shooter utilize these attachments?
Any special markings, engraving or symbols on firearms?
Did firearm have a sling (1 point, 3 point, strap, ect) or holster?
Weight of each firearm, both with and without ammunition?
Type of rounds used by shooter(s)? Caliber? Brand? Price? Location purchased?
Total number of rounds accessible to shooter(s) during incident?
Total number of rounds fired by shooter? If more than one shooter and cannot determine how many rounds each person shot attempt to gather the total number of rounds fired then divide between shooters.
Total number of rounds that caused physical harm, including ricochets and other harm that was caused. This includes lacerations due to shattering glass, injuries from fleeing fire and damage to hearing.
Total number of magazine accessible? If multiple weapons that utilize a magazine, find the average. Divide between shooters if necessary.
Make/model/variation of magazines? cost per unit?
Capacity of magazines?
Number of magazine not utilized?
Did shooter discard magazines or retain control?
Response:
Any law enforcement present at the location? If so, how did they respond? If not present when shooting began, how long did it take emergency personnel to respond? This time is between the first emergency call received and when the first unit arrived on scene.

$60 Billion in classified military projects
The 2018 military budget consist of $626 Billion for the base budget and $66 Billion allocated for operations for a total of $692 Billion. what is less known about this budget is that a total of $61,037,546,000 (8.82%) is designated for numerous "classified programs." This can be found within the 740 pages of the NDAA under:
Division D Title XLI: Procurement- $22,355,195,000
Tile XLII: Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation- $20,730,764,000
Title XLIII: Operations and Maintenance- $22,113,130,000
Title XLVI: Construction- $64,364,000
Secrete programs are necessary for the military to maintain a strategic advantage. Within the military budget there appears to be a substantial more allocated that what is stated here. This amount represents the governments Black Budget. This is not unusual. It is actually a standard practice. My question to any who read this: Are you okay with this amount being spent on classified projects?
