Louise Glück, from “Timor Mortis”, Poems 1962-2012
i’ve gotten to a point where i don’t really know what i’m seeking anymore... and it’s kind of a relief. isn’t that strange? i don’t feel the drive to have some sort of lofty goal and i’m just doing what feels good. and i feel relief. no one to perform for. not even myself. i lay in bed and i go for walks and i explore and take everything in. when you don’t have expectations, everything is wonderful. you’re never let down. and life is beautiful and content.
“i hope i die warmed by the life that i tried to live”
— Nikki Giovanni, The Collected Poetry, 1968-1998
I’m going to do what I want to do. I’m going to be who I really am. And I’m going to figure out what that is.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
“-Entonces ¿Por qué nunca me invitaste a salir? -Creí que tú no querías -¿Y qué querías tú? -Yo solo quería que fueras feliz. -No lo entiendes, verdad. […]
“I will remember your small room, the feel of you, the light in the window, your records, your books, our morning coffee, our noons, our nights, our bodies spilled together, sleeping, the tiny flowing currents, immediate and forever.” - Charles Bukowski
— ~ Charles Bukowski
It wasn’t my day. My week. My month. My year. My life. God damn it.
— Charles Bukowski, Pulp

the words have come and gone, I sit ill. the phone rings, the cats sleep. Linda vacuums. I am waiting to live, waiting to die. I wish I could ring in some bravery. it’s a lousy fix but the tree outside doesn’t know: I watch it moving with the wind in the late afternoon sun. there’s nothing to declare here, just a waiting. each faces it alone. Oh, I was once young, Oh, I was once unbelievably young!
— Charles Bukowski, So Now?

Estoy hastiado,
estoy harto
de todo,
de esta tristeza
y de todos...
Estoy cansado
hasta de mí mismo.
-Einsamkeit.
