This wasn't space in the usual sense of the word. Mobius looked at the radiance emanating from thousands of branches of a huge tree and could not look away.
This was his first time coming here alone. During the day, this place was the kingdom of Obi and Casey.
They were repairing their instruments, arguing about some strange terms and not paying attention to those around them.
But now, the room was empty and the lighting was switched to night mode.
Mobius went to the window of the Loom Room. Loki was there somewhere.
The tree looked so close. It seemed to Mobius that he could reach out his hand and immerse it in this radiance.
He really wanted to talk to Loki. He wanted to tell him... Damn. He didn't know how to talk about such things. He didn't know where to start.
He imagined Loki looking at him from there and smiled at his thoughts. He wanted to tell Loki how much he missed him. He wanted to say that he loved him. And that he was very sorry that he had not said this earlier. Mobius thought about the past, about their meetings, about touches and smiles. The silence was becoming unbearable and he just had to speak.
Mobius touched the glass and tried to imagine that he saw his Loki in the glowing branches.
What should you say at such moments?
"Knock Knock?" Mobius said quietly.
It was stupid and he knew it. But Loki would have liked it. The echo of his voice rolled through the quiet room and for a moment he thought he heard the quiet chuckle of his god.
Of course, It was just his imagination. Mobius sighed and said.
“I want to tell you something, Loki. I believe that you can hear me. And since you are not able to interrupt me now, then I will tell you everything, from the very beginning...”
He sat down on the floor. His voice was quiet, as always. He talked about his feelings, about their first meeting, about how he first realized that he was in love.
And at these moments it seemed to him that the World Tree was pulsating in the same rhythm as the beat of his heart.
