Welcome to intersex-joy!
Are you intersex, and wanting more postive words?
Because of pride month intersex people have been mentioned multiple times by my classmates and not a single person questioned it in the slightest and that makes me really happy
i actually got to speak to an old irl about the treatment of intersex people when i saw her this month, it gave me a lot of hope. i am glad some of us are having these experiences!
this is intersex joy
trans + intersex joy is finally going on t like you wanted and feeling healthier than you ever had in your life bc not only is your brain being helped, but your pcos too! i'm so so so happy.
ahh that's so good!! this is intersex + trans joy!
I'm perisex so if this is out of line either let me know or ignore this!
I have a budgie that is likely intersex or has a hormonal condition (birds are not commonly intersex in the way that people normally think) that causes his cere (the fleshy part above his beak, and the easiest way to sex a budgie) is part blue and part pink! And I just think that's neat and I feel like all the people on this website would think that's cool too. Anyway I love him a lot and my family and I often switch between he and she pronouns for her. :)
I accidentally sent it to the intersexism blog first oops. Lets send it here too lol
i know absolutely nothing about birds, so i can't confirm or deny, but intersex pets are always fableous! this is (probably) intersex joy
I have pmos and gender dysphoria
And it's so... idk good seeing my body look a lot like a guy's because of pmos.
I don't know if this counts as intersex joy but thought I'd share
totally counts, i'd say this is both intersex joy and trans joy! i'm very happy for you anon >_<
Intersex joy is reading books by intersex authors and finally feeling understood.
ohh this is so real (not with intersex but for me it was trans authors), do you have any recommendations? <- free to anyone
this is intersex joy!
I think intersex joy is wearing what makes you happy not in spite of your traits but in favour of them. I am more complete wearing a dress with my patchy facial hair, deeper voice, etc. Not when I pick at and hide parts of me in a way I think others will deem acceptable. Im still learning this lesson and It'll take time but I have been learning I dont need to make myself fit anything in particular and I think thats really cool. Being a part of the intersex community has taught me a lot of valuable lessons i will keep with me and im really greatful to have a space here, and I hope for more intersex people to have what I have in the future
this is very sweet and i agree! this is intersex joy!
Just found out I have cliteromegaly. I'm loving my body more and more as I come to learn more about myself and what makes me unique as an individual and intersex person 💛💜💛
good to find out, and i'm glad you're loving your body. this is intersex joy!
when my whole life i felt like a ‘broken’ girl but since i learnt i was intersex (pmos/pcos) something clicked in me and i felt such relief that there wasnt just something fundamentally wrong with me, ive become so much more confident with my body since :)
i'm happy you're more confident!! this is intersex joy!
Intersex joy is finally feeling comfortable with calling myself intersex without feeling like I'm "intruding" (PMOS/PCOS) and undoing the intersexism society ingrained in me
i'm really glad you're comfortable with it now, this is intersex joy!
I convinced my workplace to change the progress pride flag on their brochure to be intersex inclusive! (Their written material was already intersex inclusive, only the flag wasn’t.)
There were no arguments about doing it, no questions about me or how I knew the difference or why I cared, no pushback against who suggested it (I’m very low on the corporate foodchain & expected to be ignored). They just asked me to put an explanation of the change in writing so they had the reason for the change on record for Accounts (they purchased a new stock image & needed to justify the expense), and then THANKED me for bringing it to their attention.
Something something performative rainbow capitalism, but I’m so glad I spoke up because I felt so seen and heard
i am glad you were listened to, this is intersex joy!
I wore my intersex earrings to work and a customer got excited, pointed at my earrings and said "me too!"
AW that's so lovely! this is intersex joy!
I have PAID and have been strung along by a medical practice for the past 8 years, refusing to give me the correct form of TRT, but on June 1st I had my first appointment with a urologist where I was listened to, taken seriously, and immediately prescribed the correct TRT I need. My urologist was so chill and nice and really seems like he knows what he’s doing, and he’s a decorated doctor who’s been working for decades. He even mentioned to me that his only experience with AIS is CAIS in a child when he was in his residency, which was a long time ago, but the fact that he admitted that instead of acting like he knows everything about intersex conditions made me feel so much better. Intersex win :)
this is intersex joy! i'm very happy for you anon :)
IM A BIT BEHIND GIVE ME A BIT FOR ASKS SORRY!
i saw an intersex-inclusive pride flag while i was out on a walk in my neighborhood today!!! as an intersex beast i feel so happy and perceived...!!!
i love seeing those pride flags :)
this is intersex joy!
Intersex joy is figuring out youre probably intersex right before pride month starts!!!
YAY HAPPY PRIDE! be here, take up space, don't let anyone give you shit. be intersex and proud. this is intersex joy!
So I'm intersex and transmasc and I grew up being incredibly insecure about my belly (typical androgen? Fat distribution + either pmos or ncah idk which one)
But since coming into my manhood and learning I'm intersex I've really come to love it. It's something so undeniably ME and I'm so proud of my body and its shape, even if it's not perisex typical. Im proud to be intersex! I'm proud to be here and take up space B)
this is intersex joy, and also transmasc joy! anon, i'm so very happy for you and hope you can continue to be yourself 🩷
