I identify as aroace, but I'm also autistic and have ADHD. I cannot separate my neurodivergence from my experience of sexuality, which makes it hard to articulate to other people.

I often get hyperfixated on people. I get obsessed with them, I want to be around them, I want to learn about them. I used to mistake these for crushes when I was younger, but overtime I realized I related it less to how people describe crushes and more how people describe Blorbos and their shows.

I have also considered hooking up with friends for the sensory aspects of it. While I may not experience the full spectrum of it, I understand the appeal of sex and am curious about the experience of it.

I think the way I experience sexuality is interesting and could provoke decent conversation, but I feel like I can't share this with people because of how easily someone from the outside looking in could mistake this for attraction. Sometimes even I question whether or not I'm just identifying as aroace for attention or whether this is just allosexuality/alloromanticism with extra steps. It's frustrating as hell because no one else I know lies at the same intersections as me. I feel so alone.
